Annabeth's POV

I was viewing some architecture on Daldues's laptop when Percy burst into my cabin, out of breath. He just stood there, staring at me.

"What's the matter Seaweed Brain?" I smirked. "Hellhound got your tongue?"

"Annabeth, I have to tell you something," He said.

"I'm all ears."

"Well, we've been friends for a long time and I was thinking..."

He stuttered as if something was bothering him. I rushed him along. "Yes?"

He took a deep breath and said, "I think I-"

He was interrupted by SilenaBeauregard rushing in.

"Oh, Annabeth! I've been looking for you!" She squealed, "You see, there's a cool new Jewelry Store at the end of Long Island! They have the best prices around! Percy can take us there on Blackjack! Won't that be fun?"

"Don't you kind of think you have to ask me first?" I said.

"Come on Seaweed brain! It'll be fun!" Annabeth said.

"Not so fast," said a voice from the doorway. "I have a quest to assign." It was Chiron, in his wheelchair form. "I will only need Percy and Annabeth, Silena."

"Aww, come on! I wanted to see that jewelry store." She muttered.

Percy's POV

Apparently, Only Me, Grover and Annabeth were going. We all sat at a big table in the Big House. Mr. D was sipping his Diet Coke, Chiron was fidgeting with papers, Grover was gnawing on a tin can, I was studying the tables design, and Annabeth, ever so beautiful was studying Daldues's laptop for a secret compartment.

"So," Chiron started, "It turns out there is a new monster. It's like a cat mixed with a shark so it has very sharp teeth. We don't know what its weaknesses are or how powerful it is; also it can talk, surprisingly in English!"

"A talking cat," I muttered. "This is going to be fun."
