Episode 22

Luigi: OK, yea. So, what's it now? Hm? Luigi's Tiring Story? Number da four? Aw, it can't be that tiring.

Mario: ZzzzZZZz...

Luigi: OK, well, maybe a little...

Spiky Joe: ZzzzZzzZzz......

Luigi: I got at least one person listening, right?

Ultra: ZZzZzz..... Just kidding! I'm listening to you, man.

Luigi: Heh, OK, so... Where were we last? Diamond City? OK, next one is good, and I remember it better!

Lazlo: That's because I actually brainstormed for ideas for once!

Luigi: Wow... If that ain't the wall breaker... So, on to my story! We had just gotten the String Star from Diamond City and regained all the Stringy instruments used in the background music! In case you didn't notice, the vocals were already regained because of that Ashi Isai, y'know? I think I explained that already...y'know?

Ahem, anywho, Torque and I checked the map and saw that the next location of the Rhythm Star was in a fortress. The fortress seemed to have four Koopas with bandannas on their heads surrounding it. We didn't know a thing...

Ultra: Hey, wait. You said it was a fortress near a town of petals.

Luigi: Er, no l didn't.

Ultra: Uh, yeah you did.

Luigi: No.

Ultra: Stop lying, you did too!

Luigi: No, I did not too!

Ultra: Get away from them internets, I'm cuttin' 'em down!

Luigi: What?! No, man, nooooo!

Ultra: Yes!

Luigi: Nuuuuu!

Ultra: Go wake your mother, tell her what happened!

Luigi: No, I'm not lying!!

Ultra: You so are! I'll grab the quote!

"It appeared to be a Fortress near a town of petals. Me 'n' Tor- Er, d'oh... Torque and I guessed it was around Petalburg." - Luigi

Luigi: Er...

Ultra: There! You might as well be Liar X. Aggerate!

Luigi: I made a mistake there, OK? The real place was Koopa Bros. Fortress! See, we asked around Toad Town and we gathered the info that it was the Koopa Bros. Fortress.

Ultra: Fine... OK then...

Luigi: Hoo, OK... As I was saying... We went back off to the Pleasant Path, east of Toad Town and eventually arrived at the Koopa Bros. Fortress. Torque and I were sure we could handle whatever could happen, so we headed right in.

The enemies there were pretty tough. They were all skeletonized versions of various Koopas. Dry Buzzy Beetles, Dry Bones, Dry ParaBones, you name it. We even saw a Skelpion! Y'know, a living skeleton of a Scorpion? Well, we had to fight all sorts of skelto enemies. It was real difficult. They kept throwing out more bones and making new enemies join the battles. Er, but I didn't get any Game Overs, really!

Torque: Yeah, we didn't get any Game Overs on the "basic" enemies.

Luigi: Yeah! Oh, and there were lots of traps, too. Fake ? Boxes, trap floors, even the occasional trap door that slammed you if you touched its knob. Yeah, it was pretty rough. But after all of the traps, we managed to through to the end. Oh, but it doesn't end there, even though I just called it the end! No, there was a quiz master door at the final door!

Yeah, it was a door, with a face on it. Pretty simple, yea? It asked us quiz questions, though. The door was nice enough to let us choose the difficulty level. We chose, uh, the one that ranged through all Mario Games. But man, it asked some pretty good ones, like, "What was the end boss of Spooktastic World?" And, "What was Admiral Bobbery's 'last request'?" Really, Bro., it was hard.

But, uhm, we passed the quiz, though, yeah.

Torque: We did fail, once.

Luigi: Er... Yeah, we did, and we had to go all the way back to the start of the fortress, traps reset and everything! But on the second try, we got passed and met the monster guarding the Rhythm Star, Woodwind Star. It was... Bone Dragon! It was a... Skeletal Dragon. The name should be enough. Oh, but it did have multiple heads, though. Yeah, that's pretty important.

Anyway, we had to defeat it to get the Woodwind Star it was hiding! Apparently, its weak point was its head. So, we attacked its head to accumulate massive damage to it. It wasn't as hard as Bonetail, but it was still a hard battle. After we won, it crumpled up to pieces and dissolved into the air.

I grabbed the Woodwind Star, and held it high in the air. All the Woodwind instruments were returned to the background music! Yay!

Well, that's pretty much it for Part.... Something, A Boney Adventure. And. That's. It. No more stories for now. Next, Torque and I are taking a little breather here. You can continue on with what you were doing, Bro.

Mario: Oh? Uhm, yeah, nice, uh, sleepin' to you. See ya!

Mario pokes Spiky Joe in the eye to wake him up, then Mario's gang jump on the next boat to Chocolate Island and are off to rescue the next Colour Star: Yellow!

END

Brainstorming sure does help a plot, huh? ^_^ Well, a good number of EarthBound references here.

I also referenced a certain... person I'd rather not mention. I'll just leave it at: CWC

Don't try to figure it out, though, you really don't wanna know. Really.
