Why Ed Hates milk
"But mommy I don't wanna go to Aunt Katie's farm." A five year old Edward pouted. His mom and dad were going to Central for the week, and had to leave Ed with his mother's sister, Katie. Edward was defiantly not looking forward to spending a whole week doing chores at his aunt's milk farm.
"It's only for the weekend, sweetie, and you know Aunt Katie loves you." Trisha reassured her oldest son. "Your father and I will be back soon."
"No buts Edward, now go get your things."
"Yes mama." Edward sulked off to get his belongings.
A few hours later they arrived at Aunt Katie's house.
"Oh Edward you've gotten so big." Katie greeted him by pinching his cheeks. "Have a safe trip you two, I'll keep Edward busy." She waved as they drove off. "Now we're going to have a fun time Edward." Aunt Katie's reassuring grin wasn't all that reassuring to Ed.
Over the next few days, Ed spent his days milking cows, nearly getting trampled by angry cow, because he had milked them wrong, and spilling whatever milk he managed to get. Just when Ed thought he was done dealing with the stupid milk, his aunt would give him some sort of milk based food product. Usually ranging from a glass of cold milk, to a glass of warm milk, to what ever temperature milk he happened to get next. By the time the week was up, Ed never wanted to see milk again. It was the only thing he had eaten all week. He didn't even get to eat actual food, just milk. He never really liked milk all that much anyways, but after this past week he never wanted to see milk again. The milk was even haunting his dreams.
The next day after Ed was back home, Trisha tried to give her boys cereal for breakfast, but Ed was refusing to eat it for some strange reason.
"Ed, you're not going to get bigger if you don't drink your milk." Trisha scolded.
Ed's left eye twitched at this statement, and he quickly fled the room, so the milk could not get him.
"Was it something I said?" Trisha wondered as she watched Ed run off.
