We were at the new house.
Everything seemed normal but something kept bothering me.
We were all in the living room.
I was at the piano playing one of Esme's favorite.
Carlisle and Esme was sitting on the couch watching the t.v.
Rosalie and Emmet were snuggling on the bottom of the staircase.
Alice was dancing around while Jasper watched her.
She picked a vase fill with roses and started to head towards the kitchen but she dropped it.
Jasper rushed to her side where she was frozen.
She sharply turned to me and whispered something I didn't need to hear.
"Victoria."
A snarled rushed through my clenched teeth.
I tried tracking her but I was following a fake trail.
"What about her."
"Bella's in the meadow."
"She's there to kill her."
She gasped.
"What happened."
"She disappeared."
"What do you mean disappeared."
"I mean I can't see her anymore."
"What about Victoria."
She shaked her head no.
We all turned to Carlisle.
"Let's go."
We decided to split up into the two groups.
One group would run while the other drove.
The running group consisted of me, Carlisle, Jasper and Emmet.
Rosalie drove Alice and Esme in her BMW.
The scent in the meadow made me want to retch.
A few broken trees covered in Jacob's scent and blood and a boulder covered with Bella's blood and scent.
Her blood was also on the ground the scent everywhere.
Everyone except Carlisle was calm.
Emmett sniffed the air and growled.
"They are also three other scents here and Victoria's scent is in this pile here."
He pointed to a pile of ashes on the ground.
"They killed her and Bella scent is intertwined with theirs as it leaves."
My mind was rushing with thought.
I grabbed Alice by her shoulder.
"Can you see her now."
"No Edward I can't."
She looked frustrated.
"Am I losing my powers."
Jasper stepped forward to calm her.
"Alice honey there's no need to fret their has to be a logical reason about this right."
He turned towards Carlisle.
"The best we can do now is move back into the house and set up a meeting with the wolves."
Rosalie snarled.
"Why the wolves."
Emmett held her hand.
"Calm down Rose, Jake's was here so we should have a talk of him.'
Carlisle took out his cell phone and called Sam.
He arranged a meeting in a few hours and we rushed back to the house.
Bella's scent was faint here.
What was she doing here.
Sometimes he wondered how she get herself in these situations.
Alice was sitting quietly on the couch with Jasper on her left and Esme on her right.
"I can't see werewolves."
We all looked at her.
"I saw Bella in the field with Victoria and she vanished."
"Jacob's scent was in the meadow so he was there and I couldn't see him."
I started to put the pieces together.
"So Bella must be with Jacob and the other vampires must have them."
Alice jumped up.
"We've got to start tracking them."
Rose placed her hand on Alice cheek.
"Al, we've got to go to the meeting to get answers."
"But Jake isn't with them he's with Bella."
I started to think we should follow Alice suggestion.
"Jake is bound to go back to Sam with information."
"If Bella doesn't appear before the meeting then we track her down."
Alice didn't look pleased but she listened to Carlisle and sat back down.
"I'll keep looking."
Carlisle nodded and exited the room.
I didn't like to wait.
What if Bella's dying or already dead.
I felt like smacking myself.
Why did I leave Bella.
Damn it.
I thought it was the best decision, maybe I overlooked the situation.
I felt like punching sometime.
I got up to leave the room.
Esme appeared in front of me.
"Edward dear where are you going."
"Out I need to clear my head."
She was about to protest but Jasper spoke up.
"Let him Esme, he has a lot to think of."
I nodded thanks towards Jasper and left.
The only place I could've think of was her bedroom.
Her scent was everywhere but it didn't calm me down like usual.
I also smelt Jacob and this bugged me but I ignored it.
I couldn't concentrate anymore.
I ran back to the house to see everyone on the porch.
Alice looked at me.
"You saw something."
She shaked her head yes but her mouth was set in a frown.
"She barely alive Edward, she's hanging on, whoever they are they are going to change her."
I froze.
Esme held my hand.
"You must understand Edward it's either changing her or dying."
I looked away.
Carlisle stepped beside her.
"Let's head to Sam."
We ran to the border and waited.
Sam and Jacob came in their human forms.
The rest was in their wolf form.
"Hello Sam, Jacob."
Jacob looked like he was concentrating on not thinking about something.
Was he purposely keeping her away from me.
"We've come here to talk to Jacob."
I stepped forward.
"Tell us what happened in the meadow."
He looked at me and turned away.
Alice stepped in front of me.
"Please Jacob, tell us."
"I can see her now since your not near her but I need to know what happened."
She looked desperate.
He looked at and her but kept silent.
"Typical Bella."
I turned to Emmett.
"She told him not to say anything, dummy."
Esme spoke up.
"Jacob we need to know was she one of us when you left."
He kept silent.
Carlisle held her hand.
"I guess he won't tell us anything."
He turned to Sam.
"Thank you very much for holding this meeting."
He nodded to Carlisle and we left.
