Interest Point Zero
People'd always look at Sheldon & Penny as a couple & go, 'Ppht. It's obvious Sheldon isn't into girls.' But then, one in a bunch, there are people like myself, who find that they're chemistry can be quite amazing. It was all clear to Sheldon when he stood in front of Penny's doorway late one night.
He gazed blankly across the door with worry that perhaps Leonard would find out, or maybe anyone else who would spill the secret. What's the secret? Sheldon comes here every night at midnight; hoping that one day, just once, he'd be invited in. With the pity and sadness he had upon himself every night, he always turned back and crawled into bed, worried his footsteps would awaken Leonard. They never did. With a silent, "Penny," he fell into his endless sleep, or as it seemed.
Many of my friends, weird as I am, always tell me, "He has interest point zero."
I just always have the slight faith in the back of my head making me say, "We'll see."
