It was during Trunks' early teens that he suddenly felt himself slipping away. He felt his mind becoming undone and his reality became distorted; simply, life just wasn't a pot of gold anymore. He began writing and used the talents he had picked up in music class to compose music.
Everything was ordinary, although it seemed out of the ordinary.
His mother had done what any mother does; made it worse. She mothered him and gave none of the space that a teenager required. Until the day, after his graduation when Trunks took his freedom without so much as a backward glance, Bulma was forced to.
By the time Trunks reached nineteen (and Goten seventeen) the band had already released a low scale album on a local label in Satan city. Despite all the work they did on the album, all the hours they spent writing, recording and designing, Trunks still managed to pass high school with top grades. Their drummer, Issac Frost, also managed to graduate. Goten, accompanied by bassists Eva Vigil and back-up guitarist/keyboardist Zane Luther, dropped out at various intervals.
Trunks moved out, after that eventful graduation, and found a small apartment with the band's drummer and bassist. Both young men had to share a cramped bedroom white Eva got a room of her own; it wouldn't be practical for Eva to have to share with either of them.
Bulma wasn't too keen but Trunks visited every night, for a while, but gradually his visits grew less and less. When their first tour began, any contact that he had back home was gone and the only link was that of Gohan's family.
