"There were no survivors" slipped out of his lips and I just wanted to take him by the neck and shake him and demand the truth. That he knew where she was and she was alive and sake and coming back any day now, but I didn't hear any of that. Instead I line there were no survivors echoed through my head again and again. My entire body was frozen just reacting to those words, to the information that I would never again see her, hold her in my arms, and watch her smile. That my Ziva was gone forever.

I watched his face as I announced, "someone smuggled a koala on a submarine, grab your gear." There was absolutely no change in his expression, he just stood up and grabbed his gear. No movie joke, not even some little random fact about koalas. It was just like he was not in quite in the present. Looking at him I knew it was because of her he was like this. I had known he loved her and let her go anyway. I had thought he would get over her, move on. I had been wrong and know he was hurting wore than after Kate, and now like Kate, Ziva was gone forever.
ABBY
I'd never felt more relived then right now as she walked out of the elevator into the bullpen. Immediately I wrapped my arms around her, wanting just to confirm what my eyes were telling me, that she was here and she was alive. True she was extremely under weight and undoubtedly injured, but she was here. My best friend was back and here Ziva would stay, with us, her real family, forever.
