Chapter 8:
Yamino rubbed her wrists which had chain burn on them. She then glared up at her captor, Dartz, the master of the Oricalcos. "What do you want from me?" she hissed. He turned so half of his face was toward her. He showed little to no interest in her which annoyed Yamino. "Pharaoh, I wish your soul to feed my great beast." She frowned and raised an eyebrow. "Great beast...?" He nodded, "Yes the beast known as the Leviathan. It devours souls and needs only one more powerful soul to fill it to its full potential." Yamino looked at him quizzically. "Really, now? Wait, let me get this straight. You need my soul to give to your pet. You had me chained and you didn't just take it. First you had to challenge me to an ancient card game?"
He nodded. "Yes, it's the easiest and less messy way." Yamino smacked her forehead. "Damn! This was not how history was supposed to be." He turned toward her a bit more. "Would you prefer me to dig into your chest until I found the soul and you lay in a pool of your own blood?" She sighed, "I guess not." He smirked. "Well if you agree, let the games begin."
(Back on the ship once again)
Mokuba was back on the wheel of the ship with Shadi and Bakura behind him. "Sharp left," Bakura said as his Millennium Ring pointed toward the Millennium puzzle. "Hey can you go any faster up there?" Seto called up. He still didn't like the idea of not being in charge. "Well it doesn't help with tracking that the other five items are within very close range as well so shut the hell up!" Bakura growled. Shadi said nothing and continued staring out to the sea with his golden eyes.
After a half an hour the Millennium Ring pointed downward. Bakura frowned as he looked at his ring. "What's that supposed to mean?" Mokuba suddenly turned around. "I can sense her." Everyone turned toward him. "My Millennium Eye can sense people's thoughts, but only when their close to me. Like say a three mile radius." he explained. "Yamino must be at least three miles under water because my sense is very weak. I think she's in Atlantis getting ready to duel Dartz."
Everyone looked around at each other not sure of what to do next. How were they suppossed to get to Atlantis. "Come," Shadi said. "You will be fine."
(With Yamino and Dartz)
They stood on opposite sides of the temple. Dartz had an ancient dueldisk made of gold and Yamino had one of metal(secretly she was envious of his dueldisk). "Now it is understood that the loser of this game gives their soul to the winner to do with as they wish?" he asked. She nodded. "I wonder how I'll use a soul. It's not like you can eat. Then again if you could yours would probably be really gross." Dartz got fed up with Yamino's smart ass coments. "Well then," he ground his teeth. "Let's begin."
They each drew their cards. Dartz was first. He set a monster in defense mode and one card face down. Yamino with her reckless personality attacked despite the face down card and Dartz simply smirked. "So I read you correctly." She growled as her life points dropped by five would have to play more carefully.
As the duel progessed Yamino was still trailing behind ,but she set a trap and turned it around. She turned it into a do or die. Her trap allowed them to pull one monster card from the top of their deck. Whoever had the highest attack won. Seeing as Dartz's strategy was mainly traps and the Oricalcos his monster had less than Yamino's Dark Magician. She smirked," Time to die." He shook his head, "Leviathan will still rise." He disappeared and Yamino saw his soul floating to somewhere.
Then she heard footsteps behind her. The rest of her friends had arived. "How'd you get here?" "No time to explain," Shadi said. "What happened here?" She shrugged, "I dueled Dartz and beat him now he's trying to raise the Leviathan." Shadi swore. Then the ground started to rumble. "Well that doesn't seem too good."
