Chapter 9:
Yamino and the others ran outside the temple. They saw a great sea beast rising out of the ocean splashing them all with water. "Here!" Yamino swore. "How do we kill that thing?" Seto stepped up. "Well when your father and I fought Dartz and his Leviathan last time we used our dragon cards, but it seems that those have somehow disappeared." He sneered down at her. She raised an eyebrow, "Really now? Excuse me if I don't give a here what you and my daddy did."
Shadi volunteered the next answer. "Perhaps we could combine our shadow powers to destroy it." Yamino frowned."... wouldn't that like destroy the world or something like that?" Shadi: Sweatdrop! "Right." No one else offered ideas. "Ok I've got an idea. Bakura could I see your Millennium Ring for a sec." He grudingly handed it over. She took one of the spikes off of the Ring and held it in her hand. "This'll have to work I guess." Bakura grabbed his Ring back from her. "What the here are you doing?"
"Well, I figured that maybe if we could just kill it the normal way that would be more effective because sending it to the Shadow Realm or whatever they did last time didn't work very well. Seto grunted in the background. Other than that no one argued with her logic. "Well wish me luck," she said as she saluted them and ran toward the Leviathan. "She's really going into a battle with that thing armed only with a spike off my ring?" Bakura asked in astonishment. "Yep," everyone replied. "She's dead isn't she?" Mokuba sighed. No one answered...except for Brandon, "Pretty Much."..."Shut up!"
Yamino ran up to the monster. Now how exactly did I plan on doing this again? she asked herself. Oh yeah that's right she didn't have a plan. That probably wasn't a good sign. She impulsively ran out in front of it. "Hey down here!" Wait what am I going to do with one spike? she thought starting to realize her stupidity a little bit. But it was too late the Leviathan had spotted her. Not good.
It swooped down on her. "Here!" she yelled as it picked her up in its jaws. She did manage to slash its lip and that's about all. Yamino closed her eyes as she was swallowed whole into the beast's stomach. "Blah!" she muttered. She was cover in digestive juices. How the here was she gonna get out of this. She was in the belly of a big ancient monster!
Then she realized that the Levianthan had impeterable skin on the outside, but now she was on the inside. She still had the spike from the Millennium Ring with her. She smirked. Maybe getting swallowed by the sea beast hadn't been such a bad idea after all. She couldn't believe she was saying that.
She took up the spike and stabbed as hard as she could. She felt the monster stop whatever it had been doing, hopefully that hadn't been killing her friends. She pulled down hard on the spike ripping open a huge hole in the Levaithan's stomach. It fell with a great thud. She slowly pushed herself out of the hole. Her friends were standing there just staring at her. All their weapons were unsheathed meaning they had been preparing to fight the Leviathan themselves.
Yamino smirked and walked over to them. She smacked the spike down in Bakura's hand. "You might want to wash that before putting it back on." She turned away and walked off, "Ok people I need directions to the nearest shower!"
