A short reply and possibly more to come...
Dear Harry,
"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
John 8.32. You were quoting Jesus, allegedly.
Ironic considering your atheist tendencies.
I don't know what the truth is Harry, but you must at least do me the courtesy of hearing it before you presume to know my judgement.
You tell me my opinion matters the most to you and yet you do not let me form one.
You judge yourself and in doing so you judge me. You have no idea of my opinion of you now, let alone after all you say is to come.
I will not be shut out Harry, I will not stand by this time. Though your door is closed to me, I will not let it block the way.
I want to hear the truth, I want to know. And although I cannot say what my reaction to that truth will be, I will know it and in knowing it maybe the truth will set us free.
No more goodbyes, Harry. Not again.
Ruth.
