Déjà Vu

Chapter 5: Two Bumblebee's & Setting Things Right

Like a mountain I must conquer

Like a battle I must endure

I will fight for your honor

Stead fast and sure

Bumblebee sat in the commander's chair, his optics shining with renewed hope. He watched as the ground beneath him disappeared and space rose up to greet him. He smiled when he saw the stars and when he looked behind him he could just barely make out Earth. He turned the autopilot function on and rose from his chair. He had some calculations to make.

"Dad, are you all right?"

Jazz looked up from the datapad he was studying and smiled reassuringly at his daughter. "I'm just fine, Mina. Really I am."

"Why don't I believe you?" she asked as she sat on the edge of his chair and smiled at him.

Jazz shrugged and grinned at her. "Because you know me too well."

She giggled but then her expression turned serious. "What's bugging you, Dad?"

"Nothing," he sighed. "Just thinking about the good ol' days."

"Bumblebee's visit bring back some memories?" she asked quietly.

Jazz nodded. "An awful lot of memories," he sighed again. "Some of them bad but most of them good. Real good. You know none of them were ever the same after 'Bee was put in stasis."

"Why not?" she asked curiously.

"They were a family but they just didn't realize it till it was too late."

'Cuz I got a vision that's fit for a king

'Cuz I got a feeling I can do anything

We will meet again

We will meet again

'Bee entered the correct calculations on the keypad and stepped back and waited. Once again there was an explosion and then…

Clang! The silence was interrupted by a heavy thud and vibrations that the ground was now making. The spectators looked up to see Chopping Spree lying on his back with 'Bee standing on top, sword at his throat.

"Do you surrender?" 'Bee asked in a tone that made Prowl think back to the sparring match he had had with the mech…had really been earlier that day?

"I surrender," Chopping Spree glared malevolently at his former pupil. "Aren't you going to kill me?"

'Bee hesitated then re-sheathed his sword, shaking his head. "I would be no better than you," he said and turned and walked away. As he did so Chopping Spree grinned maliciously and pulled a needle out of one of his subspace pockets. He was just about to plunge it into 'Bee's neck when…a burst of energy hit him, causing him to yell in pain.

Suddenly the ground rumbled, causing Jasmina to clutch to her father desperately as the house began to shake.

"What's happening?" she yelled.

"He did it," Jazz yelled triumphantly. "He really did it."
"Who did what?" Jasmina yelled even as everything around them started swirling.

"'Bee," her father replied. "He really went back in time and changed things."

"What!" Jasmina's shriek was just barely heard above the racket that the house was making. "You knew he was going to go back in time and change things and you didn't stop him?"

"Why should I? it was his life after all, not mine."

Jazz threw back his head and let out a long laugh while his daughter merely shrieked louder and clung even tighter to him.

The others all turned to look and their optics nearly bulged out of their faceplates. 'Bee had jabbed his stingers into Chopping Spree causing the bigger mech to writhe in pain. But what caught their attention was the fact that 'Bee also stood on the ground next to Chopping Spree, his optics wide.

Optimus found his voice first, "There's two Bumblebee's!" he gasped in shock and horror. He could barely handle one Bumblebee let alone two.

"This is not good," Ratchet muttered. "Not good at all."

The 'Bee on top of Chopping Spree had reached into one of his subspace compartments and emerged with a pair of stasis cuffs which he slapped on Chopping Spree then jumped down onto the ground next to his counterpart who looked at him an expression of shock written on his faceplate.

"Well," one of the 'Bee's said. "It's good to be back."

"What do you mean 'good to be back'?" the other 'Bee demanded, unsheathing his sword and pointing it at…himself.

"Well you see I…I mean we have been in stasis for over two million stellar cycles and we just woke not long ago," 'Bee smirked.

"What?" the other 'Bee's optics widened and he lowered the sword. "Why?"

"Because of that needle Chopping Spree was about to stick in you," the other one explained casually as he held the needle up. "It contained some sort of virus that Ratchet couldn't find a cure for it so we got put in stasis until he could."

"But two million stellar cycles?" 'Bee seemed to be having a little trouble wrapping his processor around the idea, not that Optimus could blame him.

"You know that's exactly the same thing Optimus's grandfather said to me," 'Bee's optics lit up with mischief even as the others attempted to comprehend what he was saying.

"You!" Ratchet shrieked. "I remember now. A red and orange ship set down in the middle of a fight against the Decepticons, and a bot named Bumblebee got out and told us that he was from the future. That was you, wasn't it?"

"Maybe," 'Bee smiled then he turned to Prowl, a wicked glint in his optics. "By the way, Prowl, I met your namesake while I was there. Did you know that he fainted when I told him that you liked to hang out in trees?"

Prowl looked slightly horrified and muttered something about not being related to him, about how his creators had liked the name but he was not in any way whatsoever related to him.

"Why did you time travel?" Optimus asked.

'Bee's expression turned serious and he looked at nothing in particular as he began speaking. "Have you gone into stasis because someone you trusted convinced you, promised you that they would either wake you up or deactivate you after a certain amount of time has passed? Have you ever woken up two million stellar cycles later only to find out that they were all off-line? No you haven't but I have. I decided that I didn't want to live like this that I would go back in time and fix things. I almost didn't do it but after I had a talk with Jazz I decided to do it."

"Remind me to mute that bot's vocalizer permanently," Ratchet grumbled.

"Hey!" the other 'Bee seemed to have shaken off his earlier shock and glared at Ratchet. "You'll do no such thing. I'm very grateful to Jazz. If it weren't for him I'd probably be in some serious agony right about now."

"Not to mention the fact that Sentinel's waiting at the plant for you guys to get back," the future 'Bee said smugly and chuckled when he saw the expressions of fear on the others faceplates.

"I believe that we should take our time returning to the plant," Optimus said.

"Sounds good to me," Bulkhead said and Prowl nodded his assent.

The 'Bee from the future smiled at them. "I forgot how much I missed you," he sighed. "You might not want to mention the half-Decepticon fact to Sentinel or that matter with Elita One. It won't go over so well. I would stick around and explain things to you more but it's time for me to go now. I want to see if I can travel to the beginning of time. That would be so cool."

"Well as long as you don't change anything else I guess it'll be all right," Ratchet grumbled then directed his attention to Bulkhead who had sprung a minor energon leak.

"I guess this is goodbye," their 'Bee said sadly as he gazed into his own face.

"I guess so," the two smiled at each other then the future 'Bee held out a data chip. "This has everything that I experienced in the future on it. I thought you might like to have it."

'Bee took it and slipped it onto a subspace compartment. "Thanks for everything."

"You're welcome," his future self smiled then took off towards the woods, stopping at their edge to wave at his former crew and former self before the trees swallowed him up.

Optimus and the others caught up to 'Bee who was still gazing at the woods. Their leader hesitated then placed a servo on 'Bee's shoulder. The little bot glanced up at him and smiled.

Bulkhead let out a series of questioning chirps and whistles.

BH: Are you all right, little buddy?

Bumblebee looked around at his friends, his family and answered.

BB: I'm all right, now.

"Let's go back to the plant and terrorize Sentinel," he suggested, climbing up on Bulkhead's shoulder. "I've got some really great prank ideas to try on him."

The others exchanged terrified expressions then began the long walk back to base. But Optimus decided, the long walk was worth it. As long as they had each other anything was worth it.

The End

A/N: Wahoo! I finally finished this series! If you want to know what happened to everyone then please keep reading.

Epilogue (Sort Of):

Optimus gave the cure to Black Arachnia and the two of them eventually married having a son who had a son that he named Optimus Prime.

Ratchet married Arcee and they had a daughter named Metallica.

Prowl found a young orphan on the streets of Cybertron and he took her in, her name was Peaches.

Jazz got married and had a daughter named Jasmina.

Bulkhead and Bumblebee traveled Cybertron for many years before they eventually settled down when Bulkhead met the bot of his dreams and together they had Brawn.

Bumblebee remained single and became a smuggler.

Eventually they all off-lined and were once again together in the well of All Sparks.

As for the future 'Bee no one really knows what happened to him. Some say that he died when the time machine shorted out while others think he died on one of his time traveling adventures. Although, in one of the first Decepticon attacks, a mysterious yellow and black bot died while saving the first Optimus Prime's life. No one had ever seen him before that day.

A/N/N: Thanks everyone for your support and reviews. Both of which without I would not have been able to finish this series.

A/N/N/N: Anyone one wishes to do illustrations of any of the stories in this series may. All I ask is that, when you have completed it, you email me a link to it and you also tell me which scene from which story it is supposed to be.

Thanks once again. Please keep reviewing.

Sincerely,
