Summary: Hinata's third grade romance fantasy finally comes to life when Naruto confesses his love to her. Except, instead of it being a fantasy, it was a perfect reality. NaruHina fluff
It was a beautiful day. The sky was colored perfectly blue, with no single cloud in sight. The sun was a beautiful, bright, cheery orange, just glancing at it would make Hinata's day. The sky was unusually clear, with no clouds in sight. The blue ocean was as blue as the dolphins that swam in it. Everything was just so perfect.
Naruto took Hinata's hand, making her turn pink. She couldn't help herself, it just felt so pleasant to hold his hand. It was so… warm. When she looked at his smile, she couldn't help but smile back. He was her prince charming and she wanted to be his princess.
"Hinata-chan, you are the most amazing girl I have ever met in my entire life," Naruto said. A wave of happiness washed over her. 'He… he… called me amazing!" Hinata thought to herself happily. Then, something came to her. Was he going to make his feelings official?
"Hinata-chan will you be with me?"
"Yes Naruto-kun, I'll-"
She was back in her boring old classroom now. Her beautiful fantasy had ended so suddenly that she didn't even realize it was over. Her whole entire face turned red, not only had she disrupted an important lesson, but she just had let everyone known that she was daydreaming about Naruto.
"Hinata-chan? Is something wrong?" Iruka-sensei asked kindly. Hinata flushed and shook her head repeatedly. Iruka-sensei took her word for it and pretended as though that incident never occurred.
But he couldn't stop the 3rd graders from gossiping about it when it was lunch break.
"She totally likes Naruto, it's so obvious. It looks like the little dork has a new fan. What a joke," Karin whispered to Sakura and Ino at there little table. Hinata only sat the table across from them, so it wasn't like she couldn't hear them.
Hinata just wanted to hide under the table and cry. She couldn't believe she embarrassed Naruto-kun like that. Now he must hate her. Why did she have to ruin everything?
"Hinata-chan?"
Hinata jumped about 5 feet off her chair. She turned around to see Naruto standing there, not looking the least bit angry at all. In fact, he looked as cheerful as always, perhaps a little more cheerful.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I must of scared you."
'Talk to him Hinata, talk to him without looking like a complete idiot!' Hinata thought to herself.
"N-N-No, y-y-you didn't s-scare me at all," Hinata stuttered, fear had completely taken over her. She was so afraid she was going to do something stupid, that she actually done exactly just that.
"Hinata-chan, can I tell you something?" He asked quietly all of a sudden? Hinata snapped out of her little crisis mode and nodded. He was… blushing, a rare thing to see Naruto do, since he was always so bold.
"Uh, god, I can't say it out loud, it's kinda embarrassing, do you mind if I tell you on the chalkboard tomorrow?"
"Naruto-kun, I don't mind at all."
The next day, Hinata was greeted by a little message written on the chalk board.
"Naruto likes Hinata-chan, will she be his girl? –Naruto Uzumaki"
Naruto tapped Hinata's shoulder and handed her a rose. Instead of fainting, Hinata took the flower and gave Naruto a hug.
"I would love to be your girl, Naruto-kun."
Who says third grade crushes don't work out? After all, this romance was lovelier than the daydream she had yesterday. Because this wasn't a fantasy. This was a perfect reality.
