Tony stared perplexed as Ziva stomped into the elevator followed by a timid McGee. She had been irate all day and no one knew why. When McGee had asked her what was wrong, she had glared at him until he backed off. Gibbs did not question her bad mood, only head smacked her when she got snappy. She also refused to go down to Forensics.

Tony sighed, pushing thoughts of Ziva and her bad mood to the back of his mind. He stood and headed to the elevator to go see Abby. Gibbs wanted him to check if she had anything yet. As he entered the forensics lab he immediately noticed that the music was off. Abby only ever had her music turned off when she was upset. Apparently both female members of their team were having a bad day today.

"What's up, Abs? Why's your music off?" Tony asked. The Goth woman pinned him with a cold, angry stare.

"Why does something always have to be "up" when my music's off? Maybe I just want a bit of quiet," she snapped. Tony held up his hands in the universal sign of surrender.

"Gibbs wants to know if you have anything," he said.

"When I have something I'll call Gibbs," she snapped at him. Tony nodded and fled the room. He hated when Abby was in a funk like this. She always took it out on everyone until Gibbs went down and talked to her.

Gibbs followed Ziva into the elevator. She was having a bad day and he had ignored it mostly until it started affecting her work. He hit the button for the Forensics lab, waited until they were between floors and then hit the emergency stop switch. Gibbs simply stared at Ziva until the woman began ranting.

"I do not know what she wants me to say, Gibbs. I have already apologized. She wants to move in together, but I cannot. I just cannot, Gibbs. Now she won't talk to me. What am I supposed to do Gibbs?" Ziva said. Her voice was pleading as she looked beseechingly and the old agent standing in front of her. Gibbs said nothing, only reached out and flipped the emergency switch again, restarting the elevator.

"Talk to her," he said as the doors opened, revealing the door way to Abby's lab. Ziva walked out of the elevator.

When she walked to the lab the first thing she noticed was the lack of music. There was always music playing in Abby's lab. Ziva sighed quietly and stepped in the lab. Turning, she closed the door and locked it to give them privacy. Abby did not notice. She stood at her computers, the usual programs running, but there was something else she was looking at. Ziva was unable to see the screen from her angle and it confused her. Walking silently, she came up behind her girlfriend. She was shocked by what was on the screen. Abby was looking at pictures of them. Ziva wrapped her arms around Abby's waist, surprising the Goth woman.

"Why are you so upset, Abby? I have apologized and explained myself. Why will you not speak to me?" Ziva asked. Abby pulled away roughly, pressing a button to make the computer screen go black, and spun to face Ziva.

"Why do you care? I can handle myself and you know that, plus Gibbs would never let anything happen. The only reason I can think of you not wanting to move in together is that you're going to leave me," Abby snapped, tears coming to her eyes.

"I am not going to leave you Abby. I love you and I do not want anything to happen to you. I am afraid that if people are aware of our relationship then they will try to harm you to get to me," Ziva said. She stepped forward and cupped the other woman's face in her hands. She leaned forward, giving Abby a chance to pull away, and pressed their lips together. Abby was still for a moment before she responded to the kiss. Wrapping her arms around Ziva's waist she kissed back, forgiving her girlfriend. Ziva was simply happy to be back in her lover's arms.
