Annabeth POV:
The car screeched to a halt. "Are they still breathing?" Percy asked out of breath.
"Yes Percy. They are still breathing. Just like when we checked 26 seconds ago." I told him.
This was the 8th time he had stopped the car on our way back from the hospital to make sure they were breathing. I get that he was concerned, but we had been driving for over an hour now and we only lived 15 miles from the hospital.
"Okay. Are you sure?" He asked again.
"Percy. They're fine. They're just asleep. They are not dead." I said laughing.
"Okay…" He said nervously. He kept driving and I decided that I would mess with him a little.
After about 2 minutes of driving, I shouted "Percy! Stop the car!"
He stopped in a split second, and turned around. "What's wrong!" he cried.
"Sophia just yawned it was the cutest thing!" I said, giving him a sly smile.
"Annabeth! You scared the Kronos out of me!" He said, clutching his chest.
"Sorry." I said. "Hurry up we're only a block from the house. I have to pee."
"Alrighty then…" He said as if he's heard to much.
"Okay, so this is the kitchen…" Percy said. "And that right there is the best part of the entire house! The pool!" He pointed out to the backyard.
He had been showing Hali and Sophia around the house even though they were asleep.
"Hey Perce, shouldn't we go put the in their cribs?" I asked.
"Uh..yeah! Good idea." He said. I had Sophia in my arms and Percy had Hali in his.
Hali and Sophia's curly blonde hair matched mine but they both had mesmerizing eyes. A mixture of fierce grey, like mine, sea green; just like their father's. It was very attention grabbing.
"I love the girls eyes, don't you?" I asked Percy as we laid them down in their cribs. So far they were being easy babies; they slept most of the time when they weren't busy eating.
"I do. I've never seen anything like them." He said, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"I love you Percy." I whispered.
"I love you Annabeth. We make beautiful babies don't we?" He said.
"I make beautiful babies." I corrected.
"What? I helped!" He protested.
"Sure but you didn't just carry around twins for nine months. I made them, not you." I said, winking at him as I walked through the door and into the hallway.
"Well these kids are obviously fruit of these loins." He said, motioning the area between his legs.
"Ha-ha! Percy, you crack me up." I said laughing as I sauntered down the hall.
"What? I was being serious." He said walking behind me.
"Oh seaweed brain, you crack me up." I said as I walked down the stairs, and into the living room. I sat down on the couch, turned on history channel, and grabbed the bowl of blue tortilla chips that was sitting on the coffee table.
"You are so confusing." Percy mumbled.
"Love you too babe!" I said, and Percy chuckled.
