Annabeth POV:

A loud scream came from the girls room followed by the sound of crying. I turned to Percy, who was half asleep like I was. It was about 5 am but it sounded like someone was hurt.

"Mommy!" Sophia screeched.

I shook Percy awake, and we both ran into the girls room. Hali was crying on the floor cradling her arm.

"What happened?" Percy asked immediately.

"Hali's arm!" Sophia shouted.

"Yes Sophia, we know there's something wrong with her arm, but how did it happen?" I asked her as Percy looked at the screaming Hali's arm.

"We was jumping on de bed and den she falled off!" Sophia said exasperated.

"Uh, Annabeth, I think we should take Hali to the emergency room, her arm is definitely broken." Percy said.

"Like humpty dumpty?" Hali asked in between sobs.

"Uh, sure." I said, trying to calm her down.

Then they both started crying hysterically. "Now de kings men can't put Hali back together!" Sophia wailed.

I looked at Percy. I seemed to se a light bulb go off in his head. "That's right." He said. "The kings men can't put Hali back together but the doctors and nurses can." Percy said. They both calmed down.

"Okay, Sophia run down stairs and get both of your coats, we're going to the hospital." I told her. She ran down the stair and suddenly there was a loud 'thud!' followed by the loudest cry I have ever heard.

I bolted down the stairs and saw that Sophia had fallen. She was gripping her leg. I carefully asked if I could look at it, and after feeling it I could definitely tell that it too was broken.

"Percy! Sophia's leg seems to be broken!" I shouted, panicking. Only our four year olds could both break limbs in less than ten minutes.

"Are you kidding me?" He yelled, carefully walking down the stairs.

"No, I'm not. We need to go now!" I said, grabbing a blanket from the sofa and wrapping Sophia in it since we didn't have time to get her coat. I threw Percy another blanket and we ran to the car.

I sat in the backseat with the girls while Percy drove. I tried feeding the girls some ambrosia to ease their pain, and it seemed to work because they stopped crying.

Percy parked the car in front of the entrance, not even bothering to turn the car off. He took Sophia and I took Hali as we both ran into the ER. The receptionist behind the counter seemed to be in a bad mood. It was after all

"What'd the kids do?" She asked nonchalantly.

I stared at her as hard as I could. "Our twin daughters Hali and Sophia Jackson are four years old, Hali's got a broken left arm and Sophia has a broken right leg." I said.

The receptionist sighed. "Are they on any medications or do they have any allergies?" She asked uninterestedly.

"They're both allergic to penicillin." Percy said.

"Okay, follow me." The nurse said as she lead us into a room. I put Hali down on a bed and Percy did the same with Sophia. Percy found the TV and turned on Spongebob Squarepants.

After about half an hour a doctor and a nurse came in. "Okay, Hali, Sophia, we're going to wheel you two down to radiology and take a few x-rays, alright?"

"What are x-rays?" Sophia asked.

"It's a special kind of picture where we can see your bones." The nurse said.

"Will it hurt?" Hali asked.

"It won't sweetie, I promise." Percy told her.

The doctor let us carry the girls to radiology, but we weren't allowed in the room where they took the x-rays.

"I can't believe this. How can they both break a limb in under 10 minutes?" I sighed.

Percy rubbed my back. "They're going to be fine. This isn't the last time they'll be breaking an arm or leg." He said.

I laughed. "True. I broke my left arm 3 times." I said.

"Exactly." Percy said, pulling me into a hug. I rested my forehead on his chest, and he kissed the top of my head. Then, the nurses wheeled out the girls.

"Ew!" They both giggled.

"Glad to see Hali and Sophia are back!" Percy said. We held the girls hands as the nurses wheeled them back to their rooms.

Then the doctors set their bones, which was really hard to watch. Afterwards they started to put on a cast.

"Mommy?" Sophia asked. "Can you ask Apollo to bless my leg?" She asked.

One of the nurses laughed. "Cutest thing, she was talking this in radiology!"

I felt my face go red and I looked at Percy. "We read them a book about Greek gods not to long ago." I said, trying to cover the fact that I was getting nervous.

Hali perked up. "De one where you and daddy fight Kronos and uncle Nico has de skeleton army come up from de underworld?"

"Or de one where daddy got turned into a guinea pig by de mean Cerces lady?" Sophia said finishing Hali's sentence.

The nurses looked at us funny. "What in the world?" She said.

I sighed, and snapped my fingers as a faint mist surrounded the nurses. "They girls were talking about an episode of Spongebob." I said.

Suddenly the nurses got a confused look on their faces. Reluctantly they went on putting a cast on Hali and Sophia.

"Can you make it striped gween and gwey pwease?" Hali asked. "So dat it matches our camp cabins." She explained.

I shot Percy a look of 'we-really-should-teach-them-to-shut-their-little-mouths'.

"We sure can." The nurse said trying to brush off the weirdness of the request.

After about an hour they nurses were finished and they girls had matching green and grey casts. The nurses discharged us around 10 am and we drove home. When we got home, we put Hali and Sophia down for a nap.

"Quite a morning, huh wise girl?" Percy whispered.

"Indeed, seaweed brain." I said, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
