ANNABETH POV:

I heard a loud clang from the kitchen as I sat in my office. I listened and heard Hali and Sophia argue in frustration. I walked into the kitchen and saw Hali and Sophia

both sitting on the counter in the kitchen arguing over a bottle of children's Tylenol.

"What are you two doing?" I asked, pretty confused by what I saw.

Sophia sighed. "Hali's ear hurts, so we came down to get some medicine." she told me.

"Hali, Sophia, you know you have to ask my permission before you take any medicine." I told them.

"Okay, but I still can't get this open!" Hali cried, frustratingly trying to open the bottle.

I chuckled. "Hali, it's got a child lock." I told her.

Hali screamed out in exasperation. "How does it know that it's me!" she cried.

I laughed, and opened the bottle.

When Percy got home from work Hali's ear ache hadn't gotten any better. Percy and I thought that it would both be a good idea if we took her to the doctor to get her ear checked out.

The next morning we went to the doctor for our appointment. Sophia stayed home with Percy. I hadn't been feel to go myself, I seemed to have some sort of stomach bug, so I went along with Hali.

We waited in the waiting room (surprise surprise) for about an hour. Hali complained about her ear the entire time, which made me feel sorry for her. I didn't like seeing Hali or Sophia in pain.

"Jackson, Hali Grace?" A nurse called. Hali and I both stood and followed the nurse. She took Hali temperature. blood pressure and weight.

Hali stood on the weighing scale. "Does this tell you how much I cost?" She asked the nurse.

"No, sweetie, this tells you how much you weigh." I said, laughing slightly.

"Well you weigh bananas at the grocery store to see how much they cost!" She argued. "So this must say how much I cost!"

I sighed, and looked at the nurse who chuckled to herself. All of the sudden, I felt a wave of nausea come over me. I quickly excused myself and ran to the nearest bathroom, becoming sick to my stomach. I then quickly ran back to the examination room where Hali was.

"Are you alright, Mrs. Jackson?" The nurse asked.

"She's done this nine times." Hali said. "This is the ninth time she threw up like that when SpongeBob was on." she remarked, pointing to sponge bob on the TV.

"Not to be forward, Mrs. Jackson, but do you want me to call OB?" The nurse asked. I had a million things running through my mind.

"Uh, sure." I managed

The nurse left the room, and another nurse came in. She directed me to OB as the other nurse took Hali where I should wait on her.

"Mrs. Jackson, I need to collect a urine sample." The nurse told me.

I took the plastic cup she handed me and did what she asked. When I returned she took the cup and whisked it away to the lab where they would test it. After what seemed like an eternity, she walked back into the room, holding a box of prenatal vitamins.
