Annabeth POV:
"Sophia, Hali, stop eating the goldfish, we haven't paid for them yet!" Percy told the girls, as they ate from the goldfish box in the cart at the grocery store.
Percy kept pushing the cart, as I would add things to it, and the girls would eat their goldfish. I was now due any day, so I tried to be walking around as much as possible so I could have the baby come sooner than later.
I was reaching for some pasta, when an intense pain came over my abdomen. A contraction.
"Annabeth, are you okay?" Percy asked, obviously noticing the pain I was in.
"Yeah, I'm fine I just-" I started to say until I was cut off by a loud hysterical laughter coming from Hali and Sophia.
"What is it?" Percy asked them.
"Mommy peed!" Hali giggled. I looked down and saw a puddle of water on the ground.
"My water broke." I whispered, looking up at Percy.
"Okay; Hali, Sophia, go find a mirror and some air freshener. I'm going to call uncle Nico and tell him to take you two to Camp, while Mommy and I go to the hospital." Percy said, taking them both out of the cart.
They ran off into the grocery store. I felt another contraction, as I gripped Percy's arm. After what felt like an eternity, Hali and Sophia came running back, Hali holding some febreze and Sophia holding a small pocket sized mirror.
Percy took the mirror and angled it to make a rainbow, while Hali sprayed the febreze through it. Sophia found a drachma in my purse and threw it into the mist, while Percy said, "Iris, goddess of the rainbow, please show me Nico Di Angelo."
Nico appeared sitting at his dinner table with Thalia and a bowl of Fruity Pebbles.
"Shadow travel to that grocery store near the highway next to Half Blood hill and take Hali and Sophia to camp. Annabeth's water broke, and I'm taking her to the hospital." Percy yelled, and then the iris message dissolved.
A couple of seconds later Nico stood before us, and he picked Hali and Sophia up. They waved, and disappeared again.
-line break—
"Okay, Mrs. Jackson, I need you to push one last time." The doctor told me. I did as she told me, being careful not to break Percy's hand, and after what seemed like an eternity, Percy and I were presented with a little boy.
Lukas Andrew Jackson, or 'Luke' had Percy's jet black hair, and my grey eyes. In other words, he was perfect.
Percy handed Luke to me, and we both smiled for a picture, taken ny one of the nurses.
A couple of minutes later, Hali and Sophia arrived.
"Is that Luke?" Hali whispered, pointing to Luke, who was sleeping.
"Yes, that's your new baby brother." Percy and I both chuckled.
Hali and Sophia both observed their newest sibling for about 15 minutes. Afterwards they announced that he was 'cute enough to be related to them'.
-linebreak-
Hali and Sophia had talked Percy and I into letting Luke wear a bow in his hair.
"We can pretend he's a girl; we don't have to tell anyone he's a boy! We can just dress him up in girl clothes!" Hali said.
"I don't think that's a very good idea, Hali." Percy chuckled.
"Sounds like a great idea to me!" Sophia exclaimed. "We can call him…Shawdetti."
"Shawdetti?" I laughed.
"Yes." Hali said in a very serious tone. "It's Greek for 'I wish I was a girl.'" She said.
"No it's not." Percy and I both laughed.
"Yes it is, it's dialect!" Sophia pouted.
"Are you sure?" Percy asked.
"Yes." Hali and Sophia both said in unison.
"Okay, well, I still think we're going to call him Luke." I told them, laughing a little myself.
