Okay, I'm back. If you are keeping up with this story then you are making me a really happy girl! Really happy! Anyway, I'm like totally new so sorry for the total geek show you just witnessed. Hmm, let's see today's chapter includes some insight into Iggy's thoughts of Libra. And an introduction into our horrifying problem, and Libra's usual mysterious way of explaining things.

To answer a question I recieved from Whisper13, Libra is fourteen years old and this is kind of a love story. I think... still deciding as I go.

Okay, now on to the story...

Libra POV

I flew carefully next to Fang, keeping far from his wing. We chatted idly on the way back. I realized I was getting better at flying. I mentally congratulated myself.

"Hey, Fang?"

He nodded, so I could speak.

"I don't think Max likes me."

"I'm sure it's just that she doesn't warm to new comers as fast as others."

"Oh," I was silent again.

When I was silent, I could think. Clearly, at least. A certain person broke into my head. A boy with red hair like Iggy's, he had bright green eyes and a huge smile. The reason I'd left, I hadn't told Fang or anyone else that the whitecoats had gotten me 'cause I was on my own. A runaway. I'd left to save myself from a tough decision, I still haven't healed. Just another day in the life of a messed up genetically altered freak girl, right?

Fang and I reached the balcony. He asked if I wanted to sleep on the couch or share someone's room.

"Actually, I'll sleep outside. I usually do!" I said, cheerfully.

He raised his eyesbrows and I blushed. I said I'd sleep on the couch. Damn, I thought, why did he have the effect on me? Never before- but I caught myself, only one other person was like that. I won't dare say it.

Later, Fang and the others went to bed. Nudge gave me a hug, Angel telapathically said G'night. Iggy waved in my direction, though he missed by a long shot. Fang nodded, and headed down the hall. I must've fallen asleep with the tv on, because I don't remember turning it off.

Fang POV

Fang walked to his room he shared with Iggy and found the Igster staring (or not?) at the ceiling, from his bed.

"Fang?" Iggy asked, when he heard the door.

"Yeah, just me. What's up?" Fang said, slipping quietly to his own bed.

Fang was expecting the usual Flock answer to this question of 'The ceiling'. But, Iggy seemed too peeved about something to even joke. How un-Iggy like... Fang was confused.

"Is she okay, not Eraser or whitecoat in disguise?" Iggy asked, talking fast.

"Dude, slow down. Who?"

"You know, Libra." Iggy said, impaitently. Fang was rewarded with a pillow flying his way along with the comment,"Is she?"

"Yeah, didn't seem suspicious. Just a terrified little kid with genetic abilities. Like we used to be."

Iggy sighed, sounding relieved,"She made me see. For that tiny instant, I saw what she looked like."

Fang wondered what brought up Iggy's seemingly stressed worry about Libra. She was just a kid who needed someone's help, wasn't she? Fang hated when he second guessed himself, as rare as it was.

"Dude, that's cool. Now, Ig, get some sleep. Max'll spring us some work tomorrow, today was way too laid back."

"'Kay, night Fang." Iggy said.

"Night, Ig. Lights out." Fang said, rolling over on his side.

"Wouldn't know." he thought he heard Iggy mumble, but he wasn't sure.

Fang lie awake himself, thinking of his talks with Libra. About her past and life as a real human. He wondered why he was so attracted to her and at ease with her. She was a flippin girl who practically fell out of the sky to him. Fang pushed his thoughts away, trying to sleep. When he did, she breached his dreams as well.

Libra POV

I awoke to the worst news ever. Damn stupid tv.

"Breaking news! Three teens kidnapped from their Iowa homes last night. Names of Laron..."

That's when I screamed bloody murder.

I didn't pay attention to the rest of the report, I was now extremely terrified. I didn't even notice Fang come in the room after I screamed. He was asking questions, but I couldn't answer. I just pointed blankly at the screen, their names lit up in full color. It was my worst nightmare.

"What the hell is go-" Max started to yell as she came in the room, but she stopped as she saw my face. The rest of the flock came in after her, all looking tired.

"What's going on?" Iggy asked, sensing the tension.

"I dunno. Fang?" Max asked.

It was all playing like a movie, I was seeing it but not exactly part of it. I couldn't speak even if I had wanted to. My thoughts were a jumbled mess, I didn't know what to think or say or do. I was completely lost because of that damn tv. This is when Fang spoke and I was yet again, was forced to listen.

"It's Libra, her human friends, from before, were kidnapped. Last night, I think she saw the tv and she was scared. Hearing this news probably wasn't the best wake up call." I noted the sarcasm in his voice at the last part.

I nodded, numbly to tell that he was right. I only then registered that Fang was holding my shoulders and Iggy had moved to hold my right hand. But, it was still an out-of-body experience. I was shocked that I had managed a nod, that was quite an accomplishment at this present moment.

"What'll we do, Max?" Nudge asked, the shortest sentence she'd said since I came.

"Nothing, it's not our buisness." Max answered.

This is when I snapped out of my trance, I got up in a huff. I let go of the boys and leapt, again, off the balcony. This time I had absolutely no intention of hiding in a tree. I was going to Iowa.
