Annabeth POV:

"Mom, I'm home!" a 15 year old Sophia called, walking into the kitchen where I was helping the now 11 year old Luke with his homework. "Hey Loogie." She told him.

"Very funny." He said sarcastically, closing his math workbook.

"Hey Soph. Did you have a good day?" I asked her.

"Yeah, I broke the school record on the swim team. Again." She smiled, sitting down at the table with us.

"Well done." I chuckled. "Where's your sister?" I asked, noticing Hali hadn't come in behind her like usual.

"She went to cheerleading tryouts, remember? Dad is picking her up." Sophia said.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, confused.

"She was talking about it at breakfast." Sophia said. "Remember?"

"You don't think she'd actually join, do you?" Luke asked.

"I think she only tried out because her friends were all trying out." Sophia said. "She should have gone for the team. We could use another strong swimmer." She sighed.

"I'll come!" Luke said. "I can breathe underwater too!"

"Good thinking." Sophia said, ruffling his hair. "Hey, I'm going to go do my homework upstairs." She said, walking out of the kitchen and up to her room.

"Alright." I said. "Hey Luke, what do you want for dinner? I'm craving some barbeque, how about you?" I asked him.

"What is with you and eating all this barbeque lately?" He asked, knitting his eyebrows.

"Oh. I guess I just really want some." I said, stopping and thinking for a moment.

Then the front door swung open, and Percy and Hali came into the kitchen.

Hali wasn't wearing the clothes she had on this morning. She was wearing a pair of black Nike shorts and blue and grey tie dye t-shirt that said "Ocean View High School Cheerleader" on it. She was also holding blue and grey pom poms and a blue duffle bag that had "OVHS Cheer!" Printed on it.

"I made the cheer team! The varsity cheer team!" She squealed jumping up and down.

"You did?" I asked. "Are you sure?"

"They said her extensive physical training made her stand out in the group. So, they let her join varsity instead of junior varsity like the other freshman." Percy said, seeming very proud of her.

"Uh, Hali, that's…great!" I said, kind of shocked that she'd actually joined the cheer team. "Congratulations!" I said, still wanting to congratulate her on achieving that.

Sophia waked into the kitchen. "What's going on?" She asked.

"Your sister made the varsity cheer team." I said, smiling at Hali, who looked overjoyed.

"Hali! That's wonderful!" Sophia said hugging her sister.

"Thank you Hali." Luke told her.

"What?" She asked. "Why are you thanking me?"

"You just upped my popularity by a lot." Luke laughed.

"Cheerleading isn't a popularity think, Luke." Hali told him. "It's a sport, just like swimming or soccer or something." She said.

"Sure, but you can't be a loser if your older sister is on the cheer team." He snickered, leaving the kitchen, and plopping himself in front of the TV.

Suddenly a bright light filled the kitchen, and then a woman appeared, wearing a simple white blouse and a pair of jeans. She had her hair in a low pony tail, and her grey eyes examining every move we made. In other words, Athena, goddess of wisdom.

"Mom?" I asked, looking at her.

"Grandma?" Hali and Sophia gawked, never having met her before. Whilst Percy looked scared out of his mind.

"Hello, Annabeth." Athena said.

"Uh, hi Mom." I said awkwardly. "It's, uh, good to see you?"

"Thank you." She said. "Hali, why does your shirt say cheerleader?" She asked her.

Hali went pale. "B-Because I-I'm a c-cheerleader." She stuttered.

"And tell me Sophia, what do the cheerleaders do?" Athena asked Sophia.

Sophia looked around like she was confused on why Athena was talking to her. "Um, the cheerleaders, they uh, cheer the team on?" she tried.

Athena sighed. "I must say Hali, I'm disappointed that you chose an academically scarce extracurricular." She said.

Hali scooted closer to Percy, who still looked scared out of his wits. "What does that mean?" She whispered.

"Athena," Percy said, trying not to meet Athena's glare. "Hali can do whatever sport she chooses, and I'd fully support her." He said, but without doubt in his voice."

Athena then looked at me, and then rage appeared on her face. "When were you going to tell me, daughter?" She asked in a severe tone.

"Tell you what?" I asked, honestly not knowing what she was talking about.

Luke walked into the kitchen, took one look at the angry goddess, and hid behind Percy.

"That you're with child!" Athena said.

"What?" I yelped. "I-I…" I started to say, but then it dawned on me.

"Annabeth?" Percy asked. "Are you really…?" He asked.

"I don't know!" I cried. "I guess, I mean, I don't know!" I said, as a million and one things ran through my mind.

"Annabeth, I'm the goddess of wisdom." Athena said. "You are expecting a child. I can sense it." She said.

"Oh my gods, Mom!" Sophia squeaked, her eyes wide. "You're pregnant?"

Then all of the sudden, Percy's knees buckled and he fell to the ground. "Oh gods, not the family jewels, not the family jewels." He groaned, as Luke helped him up.

"Mother!" I shouted. "Again? Really?"

"It should've worked the first time!" she said, as she vanished, leaving all of us in the kitchen completely shocked.

"I'm confused." Luke said. "There is a person in Mom?" He asked Hali. "In her?" He yelled.

"Percy, I swear I had no idea." I told him, looking at his blank expression.

"Look, it's not great timing, but now we know why you've been wanting so much barbeque." He smiled, and then kissed me.

"You guys, we're in a kitchen!" Hali said. "The kitchen is like G rated remember?"

"It's not like anything else can happen." Sophia said. "She's already pregnant." She snorted.
