Annabeth POV:
Percy, Luke, Sophia and were almost done with driving to Hali's cheerleading competition. It was now mid-April, and I was 7 and a half months along. It was about eight am, and we had to drive into somewhere in the city where the competition was being held.
"How long do these things last?" Luke asked, as Percy started looking for the exact location.
"Usually all day, loogie." Sophia snorted. "That's why when Dad or mom comes to one they aren't at dinner that day."
"Mom do you have my PSP?" Luke immediately asked.
"I brought it." Percy said, looking at Luke through the rear-view mirror.
Luke pretended wipe a sweat from his forehead. "Phew."
"You go left now." I told Percy, pointing to the left. "Hey isn't Goode High School near here?" I asked him.
"It is." He said, as he turned left. "Look it's right the-, NO WAY." He said suddenly stopping the car.
In front of Goode High School Stood a large banner that said "New York/Long Island State Cheerleading Championship! Parking in back."
"What?" Sophia asked. "Is that one of the schools you blew up or something?" She asked.
"No!" Percy laughed. "It's the only school I didn't blow up. I graduated here!" He smiled. "This your Grandpa Paul's school!" He said. "Well the one he used to work at before he retired."
"That's great, Dad." Sophia, very unenthusiastically, as she looked out the window.
"Watch it, Sophia Grace!" I chuckled.
"Ahh! I hate it when you call me by my full name!"
"Do you really, Sophia Grace Jackson?" Asked her mockingly.
She glared at him. "Yes, I do, Lukas Andrew Jackson." She said glaring back at him. He cringed at the sound of his entire name, and I just chuckled.
"Mom you said that the boy's name is going to be Charles Andrew, right?" Luke asked me.
"That's right. He's named after a good friend our your dad and I that died when you dad blew up a ship." I told them.
"Oh. I just wanted to know if he'd have the same middle name as me." Luke said.
Percy parked the car. "Okay, fall out." He said, opening the door for me, and taking my hand. I wasn't really supposed to be out and about, but it was a really big deal to Hali that we were all here.
We entered the school and Percy knew exactly where we were supposed to go. We entered the gym where the competition was being held, and I saw Hali's team, all sitting in the bleachers wearing matching navy blue nike shorts and their cheerleading jackets.
"Mom! Dad!" She said, running over to say hello to us.
"When do you guys do your routine?"
"In about two hours." She smiled. "I'm so nervous." She said. "We're doing this stunt where I go into a full elevator, then I do a front tuck at the same time as Kathryn and we switch."
"What does that mean?" Percy asked.
"They're going to lift me up, I do a front flip, and I get caught by the people who lifted up Kathryn, and Kathryn get's caught by the people who lifted me up." She said, as if we were all supposed to know this.
"Did you practice it?" Percy asked.
"No, dad, Hali's team is totally winging it." Sophia snorted, and I couldn't help but laugh.
Hali rolled her eyes. "We've practicing it for a long time, I'm just nervous!" She said.
"You're going to do wonderful, I promise." I said, smiling at her.
"Okay, well, we're all changing and doing a uniform check now, so I guess you'll see me when I perform!" She said, as she waved, and ran towards here teammates.
Percy looked at Sophia. "She's going to live, right?" He asked her.
"Relax, I've seen them practice, they're going to catch her. As long a Allison can try to not fall down when they catch Hali." Sophia chuckled.
Percy's eyes got wide. "Why did we let her join the cheer team?" He said, looking at me.
I just raised my hands in surrender and laughed.
-linebreak-
Rachel Elizabeth Dare stood in front of Percy and I.
"Rachel?" I asked, completely shocked. "I haven't seen you since the girls were babies!" I said, giving her a hug.
She smiled at me. "Wow, you're…having another baby?" She guessed, laughing nervously."
"We sure are." Percy said. "Then we'll have six kids!" Percy laughed.
Rachel almost choked. "Oh my gods, you have five kids?" She asked.
"Oh, no!" I said. "We have three kids. I'm having triplets." I said reassuring her.
"Well aren't you two just fertile myrtles!" Rachel smiled. (A/N: You're awesome if you caught that quote )
"Yes, we are, unfortunately." I said, laughing while I looked at Percy who looked bright red.
"So you have the girls and…?" Rachel asked.
"Luke." Percy smiled. "He's 11." He said, pointing to Luke who was talking to a bunch of cheerleaders, like the player he thought he was.
"Gods, he looks just like you." Rachel breathed.
"Except for his eyes." Percy said looking at me. "He has his mothers eyes." (A/N: I COULDN'T HELP MYSELF!)
"That's neat." Rachel said, smiling uncomfortably. "So, what are you two doing here?" She asked.
"Oh! Right!" I said. "We're here for Hali." I said. "She's on the Ocean View High School varsity cheer team." I said, pointing to where she and her other teammates were, Sophia with her also.
"What brings you here?" Percy asked.
"Oh! Right, my stepdaughter is a cheer leader too." She said, pointing to a group of cheerleaders, wearing black and gold uniforms.
"You got married?" I asked, incredulously. "I thought the oracle couldn't get married or anything?" I asked.
"That's correct." She started. "But, I stopped being the oracle about 10 years ago." She said. "I wanted to start a family, and Apollo had already found a new oracle. So, now I'm married and have a step daughter named Lindsay and a son named Michael." She said, pointing to a little boy around 2 years old, holding hands with a tall blond guy, who I guessed was Rachel's husband.
"Wow, we really should have talked more, I had absolutely no idea you stopped being the oracle!" I said, until Percy squeezed my hand, because Hali's team was taking their places.
"Oh, nice running into you!" I called as we walked away.
"Oh. My. Gods." Percy said. "She got married?" He said.
"I know!" I said, as we took our seats in the bleachers, and Sophia and Luke joined us.
"But I bet you she's saying the same thing about us 'fertile myrtles'" I laughed.
"Fertile Myrtles?" Sophia asked.
"Never mind." Percy said.
"Look they're starting!" I said. Pointing to the cheerleaders as they started doing their routine.
They were doing an amazing job, until they did the stunt Hali was talking about.
They lifted her up in the air, she did a front tuck, but when she and the other girl switched, one of the girls catching Hali lost her balance. Then Hali, and the four other girls who were supposed to catch her all tumbled down, and Hali landing on her shoulder.
I looked at Percy who's eyes got wide, as he ran to the mat's where the stand-by medical people were gathering around Hali. I could tell by the way Hali fell that she had definitely broken her shoulder.
"Mom?" Sophia asked me. "Is Hali okay?"
"No." I said. "It looks like she broke her shoulder." I said, as we all went to the floor to see if Hali was alright.
She was still laying on the ground but there were people giving her medical attention.
"Okay, we're going to take her to the ER, she's definitely got a broken shoulder." I heard one person say.
-line break-
Hali was being looked at by a doctor in the ER, but they assured us it was just a minor fracture and that she would be just fine.
Sophia and Percy had gone back with her, while Luke and I waited in the waiting room. We were watching TV, when someone on the screen said something funny, and Luke and I couldn't stop laughing.
We were to the point of laughing with tears in our eyes, when I suddenly heard a loud 'pop!' and there was a mysterious puddle of water under my seat.
"Oh my gods, mom!" Luke laughed hysterically. "You peed your pants laughing!" He said, gripping his stomach and laughing even harder.
CLIFF HANGER! I know. I'm awful. But if you get me to 300 reivews, you'll get another chapter and SON OF NEPTUNENESSSSS :)
Also, thanks to you guys for all your wonderful review and everything :)
