So, yay! It's another chapter! Hope y'all don't think this took too long to get updated! I've got a lot going on in my life and sometimes the time to sit down and whip out another chapter just doesn't come. Anyway, no, what happens in this story does not normally happen to people when they have nightmares, it would kinda suck if it did...
Broadway4eva: Glad it was so funny! I hoped it would be! And as you wanted to hear more, hope this is still good! Btws, I 3 Broadway a lot too! Are you an actor(ess) or do you just like watching plays? I just like watching them, as I can't act to save my life.
COOK13 QU33N: I will probably never watch Jaws. Thanks for the Fun Fact, though I'm a Zarter fan but not a Salt fan... YAY for being different! Hope this update was quick enough for ya!
Animal Charmer 11: I would prefer weird dreams over nightmares, but oh well! I think I said that last chapter...sorry! I'll try to whip up a prequel for you, it'd be really fun to write actually! It might not be up asap but I'll try my best! I promise this Sadie will be adorable and think her big bro is the greatest!
silverfinger: Glad you like!
razzle-dazzle 1606: Yeah, Sadie would know that, it's one of my favorite random facts! Poor Sadie is right (nightmares, attacking penguins and two hot guys to chose from), as it gets worse for her! MWHAHAHAHA! Hope you like this chapter!
IndigoTardisTurtle: Great name! Glad you think i got the characters' voices right, always worry about that! I thought the C-A-R-T-E-R down the sides would be a cool thing to do, glad you thoguht so too! I wanted to put their symbol (Horus's eye for Carter) there as well, but I didn't really figure how to do that so... Hope you still like the story!
So as I mentioned the following reaction (other than the screaming) is not a normal reaction to nightmares, if it was it be rather cool but also kinda scary...you'll get what I mean! Hope you continue to enjoy the story!

I believe I mentioned this earlier, but I should have known better. I've been on painkillers before, both a while ago and more recently (Hey! You try playing a baboon and a forward in basketball!), ergo, I know that it can mess up your sleeping, in case you've never been on any before, let me tell you, ba trips plus painkillers?
Not fun!
Back to the point, the rest of the day passed by rather uneventfully, well, as uneventful as you can get when you're in a magical mansion with fifteen kids (well, some aren't kids, I mean they're older then us, do you know how hard it is to try and act authoritative to someone almost twice your age? Let me tell you, it's hard!) a baboon, an albino alligator, and the Cat Goddess.
Oh, don't forget you're trying to teach them magic.
Off track again, sorry! But it was shockingly uneventful. The side-effect of looyness wore off disappointingly quickly and Sadie was soon back to her usual sarcastic self. And I thought nothing of the painkillers again until night.
Sadie's room is right next to mine and our beds our actually up against the same wall (I mean, if you cut down the wall that my bed was against, our beds would be headboard to headboard). When I first realized this (which happened to be the first day we arrived here, you know the day when, oh never mind) I thought it might be a problem (you think Sadie only listens to her music through her headphones?) till I realized the walls were sound proof.
I had just turned my light off after reading a little bit more in my book or Egyptian myths (it's perfectly normal!) when I heard Sadie coming up the stairs to bed. Then I fell asleep. Which was quite peaceful until I woke up to someone screaming bloody murder.
You think you know understand what screaming bloody murder sounds like?
Well, trust me, you have no idea.
I woke up to loud, terrified screams. I mean I could literally feel my eardrums breaking as well as fear rising in me based solely on the fear in the screams.
And that's when I realized where they were coming from.
Sadie's room.
My little sister's sound proof room.
I don't think I've ever run so fast in my life.
I burst out of my room and into the hall. I saw Jaz (whose room was on the other side of Sadie's) and Walt (who was on the other side of mine) come into the hall but I didn't stop to see if anyone else was coming, just threw open the door and then flinched as the screams rose in volume due to the now open door. But I still raced in.
Jaz and Walt come in behind me and I heard them both gasp in shock. And I knew I did too.
Sadie was floating, literally floating, six inches off her bed. She was thrashing about and her expression was one of pure terror.
"SADIE!" I wasn't the only one to shout her name and I glanced back to see that Walt had too.
Sadie didn't respond, just kept thrashing, her blonde (and currently purple) hair whipping around her face.
"We have to calm her down!" Walt looked terrified as he came up next to me so I swallowed the urge to call him Captain Obvious (I'm spending too much time with Sadie…) and instead wracked my brain to come up with an actual idea.
Unfortunately, I was way out of my league.
So yeah I had handled Sadie pretty well the night before, but she was only crying then. Not screaming bloody murder while wrapped in a magical glowing cocoon of unknown properties.
"Carter!" Jaz was next to me as well now, "See if you can grab her!" she then turned to Walt, "Go get Bast!"
Walt nodded and sprinted out of the room (that guy is fast!) as I slowly inched closer. The closer I go the dimmer the glow got and the lower Sadie levitated, which was good. She was less than an inch off the bed and the glow was dim enough that Jaz actually flicked the lights on but somehow lowered the settings.
Then I made my mistake.
I reached out to grab Sadie but the moment my hand touched her I was flung back against the wall. Hard.
As my eyelids drooped closed (hey the walls are hard!) I saw Sadie shot back into the air, the glow increase and Jaz stare torn between the two of us.
Walt burst back in with Bast and the last thing I saw was Bast's eyes widen.
Then I fell back into unconsciousness.
YAY! Cliffie! Don't ya love 'em? Please don't kill me! Since I have now koed Carter, I was thinking of possible doing the next chapter in someone else's POV, like Jaz, or Walt or Bast. What do ya think? Like the idea? Hate it? Don't care? Please tell me! It'd be very helpful! Also, don't worry if you want romance, it'll come soon, I think….depends on what I muse decides, I think I shall go ask…..
Until next time,
