I wasn't surprised that it was only a matter of days before the finalized divorce papers were delivered.
I'm glad it went quickly.
It took me forever to get my act together, even if it was just a few months.
I even went to a therapist.
I figured out some things…what and who I couldn't live without…
Things I want and need to tell you…
Promises I want to make to you…
Because you're worth it.
Because I love you.
Because I want a life with you…if you'll have me.
I've missed you these past few months.
We've only ever really seen each other at work.
Our conversations brief and void of anything personal.
But tonight we'll talk.
