Chapter 1: Who are you are why are you hugging me?
I woke up at 8 am, yes I know, pretty early for staying up till midnight. It was a Saturday and my mom was at work. She is a doctor at the local hospital. I got out of bed and walked into the kitchen to start making breakfast, nothing fancy, just cereal. Not that you care or anything, anyway.
I walk pouring milk into my bowl when there was a knock on my door. I though it was weird for someone to be here this early. I walked to the door and opened it. I stood there in shock; there was a group of kids there, 6 to be exact. They all looked dirty and worn down. I looked at each one carefully and my eyes widened as I saw that they looked exactly like I imagined the Maximum Ride characters to look like.
"Ella!" The eldest girl threw her arms around me as I stood there feeling awkward that a random girl was hugging me and called me Ella. I mean sometimes my friends called me that because it sounded like a nickname for my name and they knew how much I loved Ella from the books.
"Um…..hello?" I said, unsure of what to do in a time like this.
She pulled away and stepped back, "I didn't mean to surprise you but we were hoping we could stay with you and Mom for a little bit."
I looked at her like she was crazy. Was this a joke? I mean she looked like Max and just implied that my mom was her mom too.
"We missed you Ella!" The two youngest girls who resembled Nudge and Angel hugged my legs. I looked down at them then up at the three eldest kids again. The girl looked like Max, the boy to her right looked like how I imagined Dylan, and the boy to her left-holy crap. The boy to her left looked like Iggy! I started to blush. I had a fan crush on Iggy.
I was confused and freaking out at the same time. I don't remember anything after that until about two hours later when I woke up on the couch in my living room with the 6 kids sitting around the room talking.
