The bodies are gone, shut in for the night, and just as I am about to cloak the room with darkness I feel the urge to look out at the room one last time.

I look fondly at the pristine tables that Mr. Palmer so graciously cleaned today, my eyes graze over the instruments that I have used so little of late.

My mind wanders to the autopsy performed today, not by me, but rather Mr. Palmer and I realize as the clock stroked midnight and a new year begins that it is time for Jimmy to fly solo.
