Anya's face whitened as she clung on tighter Oxana, who was gasping.
Oxana: Who is he, Mama?
Anya couldn't find a way to tell her daughter that he was the reason that her aunts, uncle, and grandparents were dead.
Anya: He's- he's gone now.
Anya cradled her daughters head while Oxana cried and dug her head into her mothers chest, and Dimitri stroked her hair.
Dimitri: Shh, shh, shh, it's all better now.
Oxana: He's not going to hurt me, is he?
Dimitri: No, no, of course not, my little angel.
This really didn't make Oxana feel any better. Mostly because of how real the dream felt, so she continued to sob.
Oxana: Do you know him?
Anya and Dimitri worriedly looked at each other while Oxana dried her tears and looked at her parents with her wide blue eyes, obviously terrified hoping he wouldn't she wouldn't see him again.
Oxana: Do you?
Anya decided to change the subject hoping it would make her feel better.
Anya: Would you like to her the lullaby? Would it make you feel better?
Oxana: Yes, mama.
Anya picked up the green and gold music box of Oxanas nightstand and took Oxanas necklace that read 'Together in Paris' and turned it in the music box.
Anya (singing): On the wind, cross the see, hear this song and remember,
Oxana and Anya (singing): Hear this song and remember, soon you'll be home with me, once upon a December.
Anya stroked Oxanas long, silky, semi-curled, red hair.
Anya: Are you feeling better now?
Oxana nodded.
Oxana: Mama, would you sleep in here tonight?
Anya: Of course darling.
Anya got in Oxanas bed and held her tightly, while Bartok quietly flew under her bed
The next morning Oxana ran around her new home still not fully aware wear she ate breakfast
Oxana: Mama? Papa? Mama? Papa?
She came across the kitchen where they ate breakfast. She quickly hid listening to what her parents were saying.
Anya: How can he be back? He's gone. He supposed to be gone.
Dimitri tried to comfort her.
Anya: And now he's going to try to get his revenge by taking Oxana away from us.
Dimitri: Don't worry about it at the moment.
Anya: How can I not worry? He's the reason my family is dead.
Dimitri: Not your entire family.
Oxana gasped. Scared to hear anymore Oxana walked into the kitchen.
Oxana: Good morning.
Dimitri stroked her hair as she sat down.
Dimitri: How are you feeling my little angle?
Oxana: A little better.
Oxana was eating feeling very unsettled.
That night, Oxana went to bed, scared for her life. She was suddenly awoken by a cold breeze followed by Rasputins eerie voice.
Rasputin: Hello, Oxana.
Oxana could barley bring herself to talk.
Oxana: Who's there?
Rasputin: Oh I see your parents have never told their little angel about me.
Oxana clung to the ivory sheets.
Oxana: Who are you?
Rasputin: I am Rasputin.
Oxana ran out of her be while green smoke had come in through the windows and started to chase after her. She made it out of the room and started to run down the hall trying to get to her parents room. Her parents were woken up by sound of screams moving closer to their room. They ran out to see green smoke chasing Oxana. They ran to try and get her before the smoke got her. Oxana tripped over her pink under white lace, blue ribboned nightgown. Her parents caught up to her while the green smoke wrapped itself around poor little Oxanas ankle. Anya and Dimitri each grabbed one of her arms. The green wrapped itself around her waist and covered her. Once it did, the smoke disappeared as did their dear, sweet, little angel, Oxana. Dimitri held Anya close to him as she dug her head into his chest and she started to sob, as did Dimitri. A wind blew, followed by the creepy voice of Rasputin.
Rasputin: It has been a long time.
Anyas head popped out of Dimitris chest.
Anya: Rasputin?
Rasputin: But now I will have my revenge.
He laughed evilly. Another wind came through the room, and the blue ribbon Oxana was wearing flew into Anya and Dimitris laps.
MEANWHILE
Oxana was dropped in a room that all red she brought her legs to her chest and started to sob. She didn't notice that Rasputin had appeared in the room.
Rasputin: Hello, child.
Oxana looked up at him, instantly terrified. She backed up and stopped at the wall.
Rasputin: Do not be frightened.
Oxana turned away. She looked back up when she heard the flapping of little wings. She gasped at the sight.
Oxana: Bartok?
Bartok turned his, ashamed of what he had done. Rasputin walked towards as Oxana closed in on the wall.
Rasputin: Oh, what a wonderful little surprise.
Oxana: You're- you're-you
She was terrified to say his name.
Rasputin: Yes, Rasputin.
This completely terrified Oxana.
Oxana: Who are you?
Rasputin: So your dear parents have never told you about me, have they?
Oxana shook her head and decided it would be best for her to try and be brave.
Oxana: No. How do you know my parents?
Rasputin: Yes. I am the reason that your grandparents, your aunts, and uncle are dead.
Oxana: I know. I heard my parents talking this morning.
Rasputin: Ah! The little quite the little eavesdropper, are you? Taking after your mother and father, have you?
Oxana: What do you mean?
Rasputin: You act like a your mother, quite the little shvibzik, are you?
Oxana: Yes, That's what Mama and Papa call me.
Rasputin: Ah so you are quite the little trouble maker.
Oxana did make a lot of trouble. Mostly around her father because no matter how hard he tried, he was never mad at her.
X
The next morning, at the palace, Anya and Dimitri had no idea what to do. How could they call the police and tell them that green smoke had taken their daughter away. That morning, Elise was coming over to play with Oxana. She walked into the palace and saw Anya and Dimitri looking sad.
Elizaveta: Where is Oxana?
Anya: Oxana is not here right now.
Elizaveta: Where is she?
Anya: We don't know.
Elizaveta: When is she coming back? She is coming back, isn't she?
They both nodded. They would never let anything happen to their little angel!
