The next morning, little Oxana woke up in the same room she was in the night before. Her eyes were red and puffy and her face was red, due to all of her crying. In some sort of strange way, she new that Rasputin was going to kill her. She started to sob again when Bartok nudged her. She wiped her eyes and then looked over at him and immediately turned away.
Bartok: Oxana? Oxana, will you talk to me?
Oxana: Go away!
Bartok: Come on! Talk-
Oxana: Did it happen?
Bartok: What?
Oxana: Was the fight on the bridge real? Did it happen?
Bartok sadly looked down and nodded.
Oxana: Did you help that man try to kill my mother?
Again, Bartok nodded
Oxana: Did you just use me?
Bartok shook his head and flew up on Oxanas shoulder.
Bartok: Well, you see I-
Batok was cut off by Rasputin appearing in the room. Oxana dug head in between her legs and chest, and turned away, thinking that now would be when he kill her.
Oxana: I know you want to kill me; just get it done with already.
Rasputin smiled.
Rasputin: Oh, no. Not yet.
Oxana looked up at him.
Oxana: What do you mean?
Rasputin: I must find your parents to witness this wondrous sight!
He giggled and left.
Oxana looked at the necklace that had said 'Together in Paris'. Bartok sat next to her and cuddled up to her. She began to burst into tears and looked over to Bartok.
Oxana: Aren't you going to go with him?
Bartok: Nope! We are!
He tried to find something and finally pulled out a potion.
Bartok: You gotta love doubles.
He threw it on the ground and they realized that they were in the other end of the marketplace. They ran to the other end of the marketplace and they raced towards the palace.
MEANWHILE
Elizaveta had left the palace in tears, hoping her new best friend would be home soon, safe and sound. Anya and Dimitri were still lost, not knowing exactly what to do, when an eerie chill crept into the room followed by Rasputins creepy voice.
Rasputin: Do you miss your daughter?
He then appeared in the room.
MEANWHILE
Oxana made her way into the palace. She went into the parlor to see her mother and father looking at Rasputin, and hid behind the wall.
Rasputin: I hate to come uninvited, but I just could not wait to show the death of your little girl.
He made an orb appear in his hand. It was supposed to show Oxana with her puffy red face, with tears streaming down her cheek, but instead it showed her running inside the parlor. Her parents sighed with relief.
Rasputin: What how did you-?
He was cut off when he saw Bartok fly on her shoulder.
Rasputin: You traitor!
Oxana tried to run over to her parents but Rasputin hit her with some sort of green blast. She hit the wall and her parents rushed over to her. The found out that she was unconscious and tried their bet to wake her up. Rasputin laughed, knowing that he could easily kill her without her childish energy getting in the way. She regained consciousness a few seconds later and started running up the stairs while he parents started to fight him off. Oxana felt guilty about leaving her parents behind and running upstairs and locking herself in her room. She ran back out and looked down the stairs to see her parents fighting off Rasputin. They started to tell her to run back and hide in her room. She still stayed there, standing on the stairs. Her parents kept yelling to run back upstairs. She finally listened to them as she ran back into her room and locked the door. This didn't help her though, because at that moment, Rasputin himself appeared in her room. She let out a large scream which made her parents run to her room. When they got up there, Rasputin had hit them both against the wall. He turned to the window, basking I the moment when he would finally get his revenge. When he turned around, he saw Oxana running towards him. He was about to hit her and kill her. But she pushed him against the window, causing him to fall. She accidentally pushed him to hard causing her to lose her balance and fall out of the window, too. Dimitri tried to run over and grab her hand, but she was already about halfway down. Anya and Dimitri ran outside and found her lying on the ground on top of Rasputin's lifeless body. They carefully took her inside and placed her on her bed. A couple of hours later, Oxana woke up. At first Oxana had a massive headache and thought that the horrific event was only a terrible nightmare. She turned her head and saw her mother holding her hand and looking terrified and father sitting next to her. That made her realize that it wasn't a dream, it was real! Her parents weren't directly looking at her, more looking down and crying. She twitched her finger and her parents looked up, and their fear that she wouldn't wake up with her last words be a terrified scream disappeared. They both hugged her but stopped when they realized that it was hurting her.
Anya: Oxana, are you okay?
She nodded.
Oxana: I hurt a lot.
Anya rubbed her head.
Anya: It's okay, darling, it will go away soon enough. Just relax.
Oxana: Rasputin's not coming back for me, is?
Anya: No you got rid of him.
Oxana looked at her mother in disbelief.
Oxana: How?
Anya: never mind that. It's okay now. He's gone and you're safe. That's all that matters now. Now, you need to rest.
Oxana: Yes, Mama.
Oxana laid back down and fell back asleep and within a few weeks she was back to her to her normal energetic self. Her parents had also learned about Bartok and decided to let her keep him.
