Omnitrix of Gremory Prologue

Naoto's POV

Today is a bleak day for me as I was sitting in the park. My parents had died and I was now orphaned. They had died during their job as police officers protecting their town, Kuoh. My hand's hand gripped harder at a picture of my lost family. My mother and father while they were in the force, were rarely present but not missing. Being cops of high ranks meant teaching the recruits, and filling out paperwork so I was used to them being late but I still cared about them dammit. It had been a few days for me as I was reminiscing about the old days. I had two friends but one of them moved away.

The first was Irina Shidou. She was a real tomboy back then to the point where Issei didn't know it was a girl but Mom did tell me that Irina was a girl. Boy was I shocked that day! Issei had never gotten the memo while I did. It was funny, on one hand, I wanted to tell Issei but if I did it could make a feud with Irina or as Issei called her back then Rin-Kun. I looked at a picture and the cake on the picture said ''Happy Birthday Naoto''. I smile crept up my face slowly as these were good times before Irina moved overseas. Issei had never been the same since then.

Issei was my best friend even though we haven't talked through a lot since back then because I wasn't at school a lot since my parent's death. Issei was so depressed that he became suicidal when she left but it wasn't as bad. When Irina left, I tried to cheer Issei but failed so I went back to the abandoned church where the three of us used to play. I could still remember when I first saw that shooting star and made a wish to make Issei get better. I suddenly winced as I also remembered how that shooting star suddenly changed course as it aimed at me so I was forced to dodge it and run away as it crashed in the church. When I came back after its landing, I thought it was just a goddamn forsaken rock but it looked like a glowing satellite or something.

I approached it slowly as it opened itself up revealing some kind of watch. What kind of watch is found in space? I slowly tried grabbing it but it came alive as it latched unto my wrist. I tried taking it off as I remember that it was to no avail. I decided to mess with it as it showed weird humanoid shapes on the dial as the core displayed these images when it popped up. I pushed it thinking it was a video game and boy was I fucking wrong! I could still remember these reddish rocks crawling up my skin as it was replaced by them before igniting my being on fucking fire. Naturally, I did the only reasonable thing who got turned into a fucking alien back then could.

I fucking screamed in pure terror and fear as I ran and set the church ablaze as I realized I was so getting grounded for this. My thoughts were interrupted as a question popped into my mind. How was the old abandoned doing anyway? I did set it on fucking fire ten years ago but now I needed to talk to someone but who? My mind raced but it became obvious that Issei was the only one I knew. I slowly swallowed a lump in my throat as I walked toward where he lived. Fear and worry was filling my mind as I walked towards his house. Questions made me scared. What if he was angry? What if we weren't friends anymore? By the time I finished my thoughts, I had already arrived where he lived.

His house was still the same as it was back ten years ago. I slowly made my way to the door and rang the bell. The silence was jarring until his mother answered and she gasped when she saw before she hugged me as I talked.

''Hi, Naoto. It has been years. What are you doing here?'' Issei's mother asked me as I answered slowly and nervously.

''H-Hi. I came to see Issei. Recent events in my life...made me rethink my choices.'' I said sadly as she nodded before allowing me to enter I did as she said as she spoke up.

''Don't be Naoto. Your parents were too strict and we heard the news. Our condolences sweetie. We heard from the neighbors that they prevent you from making friends to make sure you had a shot at college.'' Ms. Hyoudo said as I nodded Issei came downstairs as he seemed to have heard me and his mother's conversation. I spoke up.

''Yeah...and now that I followed that at the cost of my social skills...I feel lost. I lost chances at a normal teenager's life for that I don't know what to do. My family or relatives aren't answering my calls. I'll soon be forced into a social worker who will look after me unless I have a guardian. I feel like an ass for not making contact for ten years.'' I said only for Issei to yell at me as I flinched as he explained himself.

''BULLSHIT! Your parents were good people but boy were they way too friggin strict. It's not your fault we didn't see each other! Mom...isn't there something we can do?!'' Issei asked I was surprised by his outburst. I expected things to be ... awkward but that feeling slowly changed into laughter. The laughter of happiness as I spoke when they look surprised.

''S-Sorry it's just that...I thought things would be awkward after ten years but it still feels like back then so I'm not laughing out of malice but happiness. It's like a weight was dropped off my shoulders.'' I explained myself before Issei spoke up.

''I think...I may have an idea. Naoto try coming to school tomorrow. I have a plan to help you.'' Issei said as I left and I was curious so I left and they bid farewell but I heard Issei follow me behind me as he spoke.

''Mom sent me to pick up groceries so I'm tagging along I guess. So is the strictness from the watch?'' He asked as I was shocked. How did he know that my parents grounded me after I became able to turn into Alien Heroes?! I tried to make an excuse as he spoke up.

''So you saved lives huh? Well, I always wondered why fell apart as bros. You never were bullied and it was never my rep and you were still nice to me but after I joined the Occult Research Club it sorta clicked for me. The Idea I mentioned earlier...it may help you not get sent away by the social workers and give you something to do. Just come to school tomorrow and I will explain.'' Issei as suddenly a loud beep was heard as green light glowed from my wrist.

The watch slowly changed itself as it became thinner, and slicker. It looked like it had an update of something as I took a look at it and Issei smiled at me before moving on to the convenience store as he spoke up.

''See? This is a sign. just come to school tomorrow, kay?'' Issei said as I went back home and maybe after ten years of absence things wouldn't be so bad.
