I feel like Disney doomed this show with that release schedule.

Anyways, here's something I made.

Enjoy.

"Mijo! Time for school!"

A 14 year old hispanic boy with cream brown colored hair and brown eyes (cover img) jumped off his bed immediately upon hearing his mother's voice.

The boy dashed towards the calendar next to his bed and looked at the date.

The boy's name was Teo.

"Oh my god! Yes! It's the school play today!" Yelled Teo cheerfully punching the air.

Teo quickly got dressed, wearing a dark green vest with a white undershirt and black jeans headed downstairs excitedly.

"Mom! Today's the-"

"School play? Yeah, I heard yesterday." Said Teo's mother in a soft tone as she started shaking her hands next to her head. "Someone was yelling "tomorrow's the school play!" from their room at one AM. Happen to know who it is, mijo?"

Teo turned red from embarrassment. "Not a clue." He said with a nervous chuckle.

Teo's mom rolled her eyes with a smile before walking away to cook some food.

"*Bark*" a puppy made itself known as it jumped towards Teo.

"Hey, Cerberus. Want a snack" Exclaimed Teo as he pet the puppy.

Teo, as if prepared for this situation, pulled out a snack for the puppy from seemingly nowhere. Cerberus wagged his tail happily upon seeing the tasty treat.

"Teo Luis Yavista! Drop that snack this instant!" Yelled Teo's mom sternly, causing Teo to put the snack away. "Ru has been getting stomach aches from all the snacks you've been giving him. He need his medicine, not a snack."

Teo narrowed his eyes at his mother and held up Cerberus. "You dare deny the guardian of the underworld his snacks?"

"Oh, the underworld is much scarier than what that dog could've lived through." Said Teo's mother coldly.

"Uhh, it's just some- wait, did you say could've?" Asked Teo in confusion.

Teo's mother chuckled as she focused on cooking. "Y'know, for a kid so invested in theatrics you are quite bad at recognizing them."

"Uhh, mom?" Asked Teo fearfully but his mother didn't answer. "Mama?"

Teo's mother turned towards him causing him to jump back in fear. His mother's face was replaced with a skull.

"W-who are you?! What did you do to my mom?!" Asked Teo in fear and shock.

"You don't remember, do you?" Said "???? ?????" Calmly. "Let me remind you."

The walls of Teo's house broke down into a dark void as flashes of memories painfully flooded the teen's brain, causing him to hold his head in his arms.

The blood, the pain, the screams, his mother's horrified expression, the feeling of coldness seeping into his body, the numbness and the overpowering lethargy; it all came flooding into his main without stopping.

"Now do you know who I am?"

She was Death.

'i... I'm..' thought Teo shivering in fear.

"Dead? Yes. Yes you are. Car accident, such a shame." Said Lady Death cheerfully. "Before you ask, no I can't read minds, only memories. It's just usually the first thing that comes to people's heads. There's also 'This is just a bad dream'. I see that one a lot."

As Lady death spoke nonchalantly, Teo was hyperventilating as he focused on the situation at hand.

He was dead? No, it couldn't be. He couldn't believe it. His mom, Cerberus, they're... he wasn't...

"In denial much?" Asked lady death cheerfully before she turned to Teo only to freeze upon seeing his face.

Sob*

Tears fell down Teo's cheeks like waterfalls as he started to cry, causing lady death to cringe.

"Ugh, kids are soooo emotional." Said lady death uncomfortable with the situation.

But the embodiment of death was not on Teo's mind whatsoever as the young boy failed to get a grip on his reality.

"Can you stop crying for a minute?! I'm trying to do a whole thing here!" Death whined crossing her arms. "Fine! If you shut up, I may offer a solution to your problem."

Teo's ears perked as his neck snapped towards death's location.

"Good, now you're listening. I have some good news, bad news and worse news for you!" Said lady death with a chuckle, getting a terrified whimper from Teo. "Oh don't look at me like that, I can't handle such flattery. Now, the good news is: you're not fully dead yet, you're a ghost. This means there's still a chance to live your life again."

"I- I can-"

"Meet your family again? I'm getting to that. The bad news is, you've been flung into an entirely different dimension because it sure as hell wasn't me who removed your soul out of your body." Said death nonchalantly, causing Teo's heart to sink before she stood behind him and whispered into his ear. "Your family isn't here...BUUUT there's a chance her soul could get flung here in the future. If you stick around long enough, who knows? Maybe you'll have your reunion."

It felt like the whispers of the devil, but Teo wasn't thinking properly, no: he couldn't. A hurricane of emotions drowned out his rational thoughts. His eyes glowed green for a fleeting moment. He was only thinking about getting things back to how they were before.

"Which gets me to the worst news. You're on a timer and inching closer and closer to not existing anymore!" She hummed cheerfully not looking at Teo's face knowing he's probably horrified.

As if confirming Lady Death's words, a crack appeared on Teo's cheek.

"No."

"Oh yes!" Replied death cheerfully , causing Teo to freeze. "Your circumstances are special, I won't get into details right now. But simply put, your soul is broken and once it is destroyed your very existence will be erased and there's no afterlife past that."

"I-is there a way to fix it?" Asked Teo in a shakey voice.

"There a remedy for it, yes. All you need to do is feed on the emotions of the living, primarily fear every once in a while. Not a big deal." She replied with a sinister smile. "Anyways, take this book."

Death snapped her fingers before a black book decorated with bones fell into Teo's lap.

"It has all you need to know to exist as a spirit, courtesy of your truly. Now, go out there and scare the living hell out of some living."

Part of Teo wanted to ask why she was helping him, why she was even bothering; but before he could, an overwhelming feeling of gratitude mixed with distrust, anxiety and fear flooded his mind as his eyes turned green. The hurricane of emotions drowned all the rational thoughts inside Teo's head.

Death flashed a sinister smile upon seeing Teo's expression before snapping her fingers, sending Teo away.

The moment he was out of sight, she couldn't help but mutter with a smile.

"Hook, line and sinker."

Teo opened his eye to a dark alley at night with a familiar book on the pavement next to him.

He hurriedly looked at his arms to see that they have become transparent.

"It wasn't a dream." He muttered.

Teo spent over a minute silently staring at the book absentmindedly without moving an inch.

Eventually, the teen was able to pick up the book given to him by lady death and began reading.

"How to become solid and visible."

Teo wanted to live again and naturally, the closest thing drew him in.

As he read further and further into the book, he noticed a rat passing by.

Deciding to test his new...way of life, Teo approached the rat. He grumbled as he noted that the rat couldn't see him. Though, it seemed to shiver as if feeling cold when his hand passed through its body.

Teo noticed a tin can next to the rat and decided to use it. He tried knocking it over, but failed as his hand passed right through it.

"Okay, Teo, you can do this." Said Teo as he stared at the can. "It's just a normal tin can."

He tried once again, but failed once more. He tried again and again and again even as the rat already left.

Frustration piled up as Teo's eyes started glowing green. A hurricane of frustration and anger flooded his mind as continued to fail.

And at one moment, all those emotions exploded.

"Ugh, JUST WHY WON'T YOU MOVE?!" Teo yelled before unknowingly releasing a shockwave that knocked away everything around him with enough power to lodge a flattened tin can into a brick wall.

"I did that?" Teo saw the effect of what he had done and couldn't help but blush as his eyes glowed green with excitement and happiness despite his grim situation. "Yeah...Yeah! I did that!"

The feeling nearly everyone wanted to experience at least once, the feeling of superpowers. It was exhilarating. Too much even.

"With this, staying alive or...dead will be piece of cake! How many people in this world actually have superpowers?"

As if answering his questions, maniacal laughter followed by the sound of electricity made its way to Teo's ears.

He turned around to see a lady with a body made of electricity laughing as she absorbed electricity causing his shoulders to drop.

"Tienes que estar bromeando."

Teo has mood swings due to being a ghost and they will be prominent throughout. I'm saying this for those who think he's too happy by the end of the chapter despite everything.

Also, I don't really read marvel comics so I don't know much about lady Death's original personality. This is just my interpretation of her. It should be fine since I doubt the beyonder in this show is anything like his comic counterpart.

Teo was made to be the theater kid. He may look silly when he's happy, but he's very serious about putting on a good show.

Btw, his family name is the Spanish translation of Deja Vu.

Tell me if I should make more of this or if it should burn.

Toodles.
