Author's Note: Hello, This is my story of how i would've written sao aka Sword Art Online which was published on july 8, 2012, I hope you enjoy my take of Sword Art Online

Chapter 1
The Broken Game?
Kirito white male, black hair, and gray shady eyes stands at the side of his bed listening to the news reporter and waiting with anticipation for 1pm to come in the next 5 minutes, He finally laid down with his Nerve Gear technology made by the genius Akihiko Kayaba getting ready for the release of Sword Art Online the new full dive technology Akihiko Kayaba had created.
12:59 he sees in the top corner of his headgear, then turns to 1:00. Link Start! Kirito exclaims, Kirito's consciousness is then pulled into the nerve gear while only seeing white and then flooded with all sorts of colors, He then sees the system confirming everything is working. Touch, sight, hearing, taste, and smell he sees pop up with the confirming green check mark. He then picks the language Japanese and then the system logs him into his account and he picks the beta-test data he got for the Character Registration.
Welcome To Sword Art Online ! Kirito reads, he is then again pulled into another rainbow of colors and then black
Kirito's Character looks almost like himself with the only difference being his now long black hair and his clothes which he has light brown gloves that expose the tips of his fingers, brown shoes with black laces on them, Blue shirt with a light browned vest, and saggy brown pants. Blurred vision looks at himself and slowly realizes that he is back into the game he loves, Sword Art Online. He then says with a calm voice "Hello world, I'm finally back".
(Market Area) 100s of people talking with one another while looking at stuff to possibly purchase, Kirito on the other hand simply doesn't care about that right now, as he is running through the Market Area into an alleyway but then he hears someone scream "Hey bro!" He then slows to a stop to turn around to see a tall slim white male with long red hair with a red headband on just above his forehead with brown pants and a white shirt being mostly covered by the vest and belt he has on. Catching his breath the strange man says "you look like you know your way around here, you were among the 1 thousand beta-testers weren't you". Kirito in slight shock mumbles "uh yea" The man then asks Kirito for help telling him that it's his first day and he'll like to get a head start on the lower floors "Uh I don't know i-" Kirito tries to say before being begged by the man to help him, He then identifies himself as Kline "Fine I'll help you. My name is Kirito by the way" Kirito told the man as he motioned Kline to follow him.
(Grassy Hills) Kline is then seen being headbutted in the testicles by a bluish blackish boar with white fangs and red eyes,"ow ow ow why'd he have to hit me there" He whimpers while on the grass,"you can't feel any pain" Kirito reminded him."oh yeah you're right" He says while regaining his composure and standing up once more."Remember what I told you when it comes to battle" Kirito says "The most important thing is the first move" Kirito continuing to explain while picking up a rock "By using the first initial motion right and activating a Sword Skill at the right time the system will almost guarantee that you'll hit your target" he teaches while pelting the boar with a Sword Skill activated rock he conveniently found on the ground."Initial motion" Kline mumbles as he failed to process what he just saw, good thing Kirito noticed he wasn't getting it he then explained while avoiding the boars rushes "Right after you start your move imagine putting energy into it, and you'll feel the Sword skill start to activate" Kline then attempts to do this by putting his sword in a fighting position and putting as much energy into it as he can and then cleanly slashes the rushing boar with his now Golden colored kleaver, With the red pixelated cut on the boars stomach its health bar depletes into nothing and the boar explodes into pixels and fades away, right where it died a white screen shows the amount of exp it gave Kline, the amount of Col (Currency) and items it gave him. Kline then jumps up and down in excitement for his first kill."Congratulations'' Kirito says as he fist bumps Kline. Both now standing on the hilly grass area with cities on top of gravity defying structures holding it up in the back ground, Kline's kleaver is now back to its normal cool silver color back in its sheath. "Only thing about that is that the boar you just killed is about as weak as slimes are in other games'' Kirito says "What! I thought that thing was a mid tier leveled boss" Kline responded, which he immediately forgets when he starts playing with his kleaver asking questions about Sword Skills. Kirito then explains "The game has almost an unlimited amount of skills other then for magic" Kline then puts energy into his sword which now turned red and said "An rpg game without magic is a bold decision now huh" he says cockingly while using an attack on nothing in particular. "OOOOH YEAH" Kline yells excitedly after using another skill "Pretty fun to use huh, well you ready to move on?" Kirito says and Kline responds with "Hell yea" as they progress.
(Hours Later) Kline and Kirito are now on top of a mountain adoring the view of wildlife and the naturals of life like waterfalls with the rainbow just above it and the beautiful trees with the dark sky only showing 1 star which looks like a crescent moon with a sphere next to it. "Were inside a game" Kline says trying to fathom its realistic features "Whoever made it is a genius" Kline continues to express his amazement "This things amazing, I'm glad I was born when I was" He said still in awe, "C'mon it's not all the amazing" Kirito said teasing Kline a little and continuing "So this is your first time going full dive with a nerve gear" Kirito asked which Kline responded with "Yup first time ever, I finally decided to save up some money and went and bought all the equipment for it, I had to wait in line with my buddies all night but it was worth it because I got lucky to get 1 of the 10,000 copies the game had" Kline said "You could say I'm pretty lucky but you are 10x luckier, you were 1 outta the 1,000 to beta-test the game" Kline said, Kline then asked Kirito how far he had gotten in the beta"The 2 months I played it I got no farther then floor 8" Kirito explained to Kline "But now I can get there within a month, easily" Kirito exclaimed "During the beta-test sao was the only thing on my mind day and night, in this world a single blade can take you everywhere and even though it's a virtual world, I feel more alive in here then I ever did in the real world" Kirito said proudly then said"On another topic, do you wanna continue hunting?" Kline then rubs his stomach while hearing his stomach growl" Well the things is, I'm really hungry and I got a pizza on its way to my apartment for 5:30" Kline exclaims "Wow your really prepared" Kirito remarked "Besides the game can wait till I get my pizza on" Kline remarked back "I guess" Kirito mumbles, Kline then swipes his right hand down showing a white interface menu while saying " well thanks man, I really appreciate you helping me like this, I'll make sure to pay you back 1000x fold, virtually at least" he says smiling but then realized that the logout button in his user menu isn't there " Huh, where'd the logout button go" Kline said, Kirito as he was walking away heard him say this so he himself opens the interface menu with the hand motion and sees that it isn't there for him either, he then hears Kline scream " NOOOO, ITS ALREADY 5:25 I NEED TO GET OUT OF THIS GAME TO GET MY PIZZZAAA" Kirito suggests "Contact 1 of the game admins to fix the situation because there's bound to be some bugs on game day " I already did Kline responded "But they haven't answered, is there any other way to logout?" Kirito thinks about any other way to logout but couldn't come up with a answer "No not that I think of it, there isn't another way to logout" he responded, Kline then tried a bunch of weird motions yelling " logout!, escape!, return!, " when none of it worked he tried doing motions to take off the head set " You can't move your actual body when the nerve gear is activated because of the interface built into the rig " Kirito explained, Kline then tries to think of another solution and asks "wait so the only other way to get outta this game is if someone else were to unplug it or remove the headset" "only if someone removes the head gear" Kirito responds "The Nerve gear has a unlimited battery life built into it so even when unplugged nothing will change" Kirito continued, "well dammit" Kline responded "I live alone, what about you" Kline said "I live with my mom and my sister so I'm sure they'll notice by din-" Kirito is then interrupted by Kline jumping on him asking him about his sister and her "attributes" "She's into sports and hates games and totally isn't your type" Kirito swiftly said uncomfortably, Kline still persisting Kirito has no other option but to knee him in the genitals and that's what he did once again Kline overreacted but then on his own quickly realized and responded "oh yea getting hit in the balls doesn't hurt in this game huh" "I wonder if the developers even know whats happening right now? "They could forcefully shut down the game and log everyone out if they wanted to" Kirito said but then heard a loud bell ringing "What is that" Kline said confused" A force teleportation" Kirito whispered while trying to think of what could be happening then they both started to dissolve into blue pixels until nothing was left.

Author's Note: well this is my first time ever writing and publishing something like this so I hope I explained and showed everything greatly.
Chapter Review: Well as you can see nothing really changed from the actual series yet other then slight details and how Sword Activating skills worked but there'll be a noticeable difference next chapter.
