Seriously, trying to figure out how to connect lore from these two franchises to make complete sense is harder than it should reasonably be. Though it's a shame that more people aren't using this combination of series.

Disclaimer: I own absolutely nothing in relation to the two series.

Ren could never tell why he's always ended up in strange situations Maybe it's due to him forming connections to interesting people, or maybe it's just that he's a magnet for trouble. However Ren's capable of telling that this situations as weird, even by his standards. He's surrounded by people wearing weird clothes by modern standards that were fighting rock monsters. However Ren could tell that this was probably beneath these guys if he's being honest because they were waiting on his orders to attack.

"Gray swordsman, fire off that beam again." Ren said to the unnamed swordsman who simply proceeded to fire off a sword beam from his blade again. This is probably going to be easy. But just as he's was thinking that the destroyed golems all decided then and there to become one. "Okay, so this might be a challenge." Ren said while looking at the figures in front of him, all of whom looked like they were ready for a challenge. So Ren saw that he's didn't have a good excuse for slacking off right now at all. Even if he's can only tell them what they should do, that was more than enough right now.

"Let's go!" Ren said to them, with a smirk on his face, showing off his excitement. "It'sshowtime!"

Renfelt weaker than he's ever felt before. No, that's an exaggeration. He's felt worse before, but it's been a while since he's ever felt this tired. He's more exhausted than he was on his first trip to the metaverse.

He's then felt paws on his face.

"Morgana, Ann's in the next room..." Ren said, thinking it was the cat he's familiar with and hoping he'd be distracted by the usual trick.

"Fou!" A voice cried out. Ren then realized that the paws weren't big enough to be Morgana's. But he's then realized that he's could go back to sleep then with no concern.

"Senpai, it's neither morning or night, so please wake up." a new female voice said to him, just as he's was about to go off into dream land. When Ren opened his eyes he's saw a unfamiliar girl to him. However she's also wearing eyeglasses but one eye is covered by her hair, she girl was around Sumire's age, but her presence felt much…weaker. Like she was barely even there. But

"!?" Ren then remembered what he's did last before waking up in this building. He's ended up meeting with Sumire while waiting at the train station and before the train showed up, they ended up somewhere else to have a discussion..

If he's here, then where were they?

No, Sumire and Morgana were with him at the time. He's going need to-

However before Ren could even get a chance to start looking for them, he ended up stumbling into the girl. However thankfully there was a wall behind her so they didn't fall to the ground at all.

"Ah, sorry." Ren said to her. He didn't know why he was feeling so weak all of a sudden.

"I think you're weak from the simulator, senpai." She said to him.

Now that that was mentioned…he did remember ordering people in a fight against some kind of stone monsters, but it didn't feel right to him. It felt like he was being made to act like some kind of character from a monster trainer game.

"Question." Ren decided to take a chance since he's was now on his lonesome. "Was there anyone else who came here today?"

"Well anyone else who showed up should up, there probably in or are heading to, senpai." She said to him. However he's had to ask a different question to her.

"And who's this little guy?" Ren asked her, looking at the creature on top of her head.

"Oh, this is Fou!" The girl said to him. "He's a mysterious lifeform that showed up in Chaldea one day."

"Hmm.." Ren said, looking at the creature. It was without a doubt mysterious. He's wasn't able to tell if it came from anywhere on earth at all. However he's had to say it was without a doubt, cute.

"You are now currently the fourth caretaker of Fou in Chaldea." Mash said to him. "Congratulations."

"Really? What does he eat?" Ren asked her, looking at the animal. "Fish? Dog food? Beef tongue?"

"Beef tongue?" Mash asked, sounding a bit surprised by that. "I don't think he'd ever eat unique delicacies like that."

"Really?" Ren asked her. "Then I think he's missing out." Ren said, feeling sad for the creature in front of him. It was way to sad for him.

"Fou!" It said to him in protest.

"Well you are." Ren said to him.

"So mind if I ask you another question."

"Why are you calling me senpai?" He's asked her. She seemed younger than him, but as the rules state, anyone in the group or place longer is the senpai with no doubts.

"Don't worry about it." A man's voice said to them. He's had . He'sseemedtrustworthy enough, but Ren just got a bad feeling about him.

"After all, to Mash, everyone in your age group is her senpai." He's said to them with a smile on his face. "Though I do admit her calling someone else senpai, is always a bit strange."

"Where are my manners? Lev Lainur." the main said to him.

"Ren Amamiya." Ren said back to him.

"Where already missing out on candidate numbers 50." He's said to him. "Though I doubt it'd make much sense to keep someone who's going to need this knowledge away from it. So come along, I'll guide you."

Ren and Mash started to follow after him after he's said that to him, but Ren felt like this guy wasn't going to be someone he'd like. No, Ren felt deep down like he's someone he's fundamentally opposed to.

The director was… a girl with white hair only a couple years older than him. He didn't know what to make of her just yet, but she seemed very irritated.Thedirector looked over and her eyes narrowed in a glare, her amber eyes flashing with impatience. Mash nudged him and pointed. "There, a seat up front. Good luck, senpai!" Ren didn't know what he's should be expecting from this.

He looked at the seat, then looked back over at the girl, whose arms were crossed and looking more irritated by the second. Ren sighed as he made his way to his seat. This was going to be a long day.

"Well, that slap certainly woke me up." Ren said to Mash as he walked alongside her. "I'll admit that sleeping in front of her wasn't a good call, I think a slap was just plain unwarranted."

No, there was a girl walking who seemed a bit unsteady.

"Sumire?" Ren said in surprise at seeing her at all. And her current appearance was also a bit surprising for him. She was wearing her glasses and her hair down, when the last he's saw her, she was wearing it in a ponytail, but right now? She's wearing it as she used to. However that wasn't the real issue right now. Right now in her arms was what looked like his mona-bag.

"Senpai?" She said to him, sounding a bit disoriented, but also glad to see that he's was here right now.

"Senpai?" Mash repeated in confusion towards that. No, she still had a mission that she needed to focus on. But she's still surprised that she's hearing someone else calling him senpai in Chaldea.

"You can go on ahead." Ren said to Mash. "I'll take her to medical room, since you're probably going to be busy."

"Oh, right." Mash said to him, before bowing in apology. "I'll see you later, senpai."

Ren thought he's saw Sumire eyes clear up a bit at that point, but they were as full as they were seconds before.

However Ren also noticed that she was wobbling. Was she also as tired as he's was?

"Are you okay?" Ren asked her, taking her arms to help steady her.

"Yes, thanks senpai." She said to him, feeling grateful towards him as usual. However Ren still found her current styling of her hair weird for her. It's not that he's hated it, but he's definitely remembered it being different right before they both ended up here.

Ren then grabbed the bag from her lightly and opened it up to see that Morgana wasn't in there.

"Do you know what happened to Morgana?" Ren asked Sumire, getting straight to what he's wanted to know, however the slow breathing he's heard from her served as indication that she was sleeping long before he's decided to take a look at her.

Ren then carried Sumire princess style in his arms towards the clinical room, as Mash pointed him in the right direction. There wasn't anyone in there, which Ren guessed made some sense.

Ren soon ended up heading back towards his assigned room.l, however when he's entered the room, he's saw that there were currently two people in his room.

The first girl was someone he already knew. But he's can't deny the fact that she was here was a complete surprise to him, along with the fact that she's

The second one was a womam. Her long blue hair looked a bit messy as if she didn't have the time to brush it at all. She wasn't wearing chaldea's uniform style, but a blue suit with a tan coat that reached her knees length.

"Ren!" Futaba said happily, but she wasn't getting up at all right now.

"What are you doing here, Futaba?" Ren asked her. "And who is that?" He's asked her.

"Ah, I see. So you're one if the newest recruits." The blue haired woman said to him. "Sorry for having this discussion take place here."

"Please, call me Naoto Shirogane." She said to him.

"Okay then Shirogane-san, why were you in my room?" Ren asked her, getting straight to the point. "And why was she laying on the floor?"

"It was a conversation that couldn't take place anywhere else." She said to him without missing a beat. "And as for why she was in the floor, she ended up tripping and failed to get up."

"Really?" Ren asked her. "Futaba, I have no choice but to train you again."

"W-wait!" She said to him. "It was just because I didn't get enough sleep, alright!" She said, not wanting to go through his training regime for her again...

"Then I'll have to take away your PC for the night." Ren said to her, going for the simplest option.

"Well, I will simply be going now." she said to the duo. "Nice to meet you two." Shirogane said before leaving out of the room.

"So, what were you talking about?" Ren asked Futaba who was currently laying on his bed. Ren sat down as well because he's had a feeling this was going to be something that was going to take a while.

"Eh, nothing much. She just wanted to know if there was anything weird that I noticed." Futaba said to him. "Then I basically told her that this whole place was weird."

"So where you kidnapped to?" Ren asked her casually, bringing it up like he's asking her how she did on a test.

"Kidnapped?" Futaba asked him, sounding confused.Ah,so she willingly came here. He's should probably lecture her later about going along with strange groups.

"How did you join up with these guys?" Ren asked her, wanting to know what she did to end up here. "Did you agree to some wired online add? Really Futaba I thought that was something Haru would end up doing, not you."

"No, I ended up getting bored and entered an online programming challenge!" Futaba said to him, sounding a bit insulted. "Come on! It's like you don't trust me to make sensible decisions!"

"Given your track record, you can understand my concern." Ren said to her.

"Is anyone else we know here?" Ren asked her. "Besides Sumire since I just put her in the nurses office."

"Let me see real quick..."

Ren then felt like there was something missing from his current understanding of his situation.Whywas he even brought here? A blood test to get a job? He's sure there's a good reason for him being here because if the effort they put into kidnapping him.

"Looks like no one else here at all. Sumire just left the simulator, which is something Iwillbe playing with later, because she's the last one to arrive," Futaba told Ren as she finished hacking chaldea's database, "after they essentially kidnapped her, okay I see your point."

"That

"Does it explain for what?" Ren asked her. "Because this seems way too friendly for human experimentation, yet too elaborate for anything else."

"I was told were here to safeguard the future's, whatever that means." Futaba said while shaking her head.

"So how did you end up joining?" Ren asked once again.

"I told you. I entered a program designing comest after I was bored for about an hour, and here we are." Futaba said to him.

"What was it for?" Ren asked curiously, while crossing his legs. Ren didn't think it'd be something so simple that they wouldn't hire her on the spot if they saw her. If it was he'd be disappointed, with his day ruined.

"It was to observe readings while no one was around." She said to him. "From what I can tell it's basically meant to be a mixture of a radar and gps that's able to constantly keep track of whoever it's following."

"Really?" Ren asked her. "Doesn't sound that impressive."

"Well that shows what you know!" She said to him with her head held high.

When Ren opened his eyes he's heard an explosion, and then a alarm sounding. Ren soon rushed out of his room to get a better graso if the situation, only to smell smoke from the direction of the room.

No, Sumire should be in the medical office right now so she should be fine. However he's also worried about the other people in there, so he's headed towards the direction of the fire.

"Futaba search around for anything to put out the fire." Ren said to Futaba as she looked shocked at what was happening.

"R-right!" Futaba said to him before going off to look for something.

That should at least get her to stay away from this mess for a bit because Ren doubted she'd be able to do anything with her meager physical strength. No, that implies she has physical strength at all. Though if she was able to find a fire extinguisher he'd be grateful for it.

No, he saw that there was still someone who appeared to be alive, but crushed under some heavy debris. Mash Kyrielight, bleeding from the head, pinned under rumble. Her eyes flickered open. "S-senpai?" she stammered weakly, her gentle voice barely audible over the roaring flames. Ren didn't hesitate at all. He grabbed the rubble and struggled as hard as he could, trying to shift the rubble off her.it.He's thought to himself. Maybe if he's didn't slack off on his workout regiment for the last few months he'd be able to at least move it enough. But as of right now, attempting to move it will not work at all. So how is he supposed to get her out from under there?

"Maybe try leverage." Ren said while looking around, seeing if there was anything that he could help him dothat, but didn't see much in the ruined room that could have helped him.

"...It's all...right. You can't...save...me. Don't mind me, please… Run," Mash said to him. However Ren refused to do so. No, is that he's didn't see that as a choice or option right now.

"I'll run when we're both out of here." Ren said to her. She couldn't begin to understand where this stubbornness was coming from. She was so obviously not getting out of here. It's obvious to the point that even a child could see that.

"Why?..." Mash ended up asking unconsciously.

"Simple. You're not done yet." Ren said to her, looking at her with eyes filled with a level of resolution that she doubted she'd be able to understand. "So I'm getting you out of there."

Mash didn't really understand that viewpoint. He's refusing to admit that something was impossible, even despite all clear evidence towards it. No, it seems like he's actively trying to defy it. She never thought she'd meet someone like this. Ah, she at least wanted to spend some more time with him…

"Senpai...

Ren then held her hand, choosing to do what she wanted him to do. After all, to him comforting her was also equally important right now.

When Ren woke up he was in the prison once again. However there were a few differences from the last few times. He's still in his prison clothes but this time he didn't have that manacle weighing him down and his prison cell door didn't have the usual amount of chains on it.

"It seems as if you have managed to survive your prior situations only to end up a prisoner once again." Igor said to him.

"I feel like being a prisoner at this point is just stretching it." Ren said to them. After the last one, he's think that someone else should have to deal with at least some of these troubles.

"I can only ask for your forgiveness, as it seems fate isn't making itself easy for you." Igor said to him. "And I can only apologize, as the time we have now is more limited than before."

"Alright." Ren said to them. Asking why would just be wasting time that should be better spent, and he's trusted them enough to know that they were probably right about this.

"I called you here to give you the tools needed to overcome your current situation." Igor said to him. Ren was surprised. If it wasn't related to fusion or personas, then they never straight out give him things.

Igor then raised his right hand and snapped, causing Ren to feel a burning sensation throughout his body, with the most severe one being on his arm. What was going on?

"This is the most important thing we can give to you as aid in your current situation." Igor said to him.

When Ren opened his eyes, he's saw that there was a glowing mark on his arm that was currently glowing a velvet blue.

"That's a Magic Crest." Lavenza said to him. "While we normally wouldn't use the abilities of mages, the circumstances force us to do so."

"That's designed to allow the use of your full powers while in reality." Lavenza said to him. "However its can only last for so long and it will need a supply of mana to truly make the most out of it. Thus the magic circuits you've developed in your body have been refined."

"So I'm using this to fight on my own?" Ren asked, choosing to focus on the more important thing at the moment. Buts he's had to ask them what they meany by developing magic circuits in his body later.

Though Ren was also doubting they'd be telling him to do that. No, doing things on his own was impossible in the long run.

"No, it can be shared out freely to whoever you wish to have it. But only a select certain can truly make use of it." Igor said to him. "However, do know that by doing so you'll be sharing both their and your own burdens and boons."

"So I'll

"Though we shan't be your only aid." Lavenza said to him. "In this situation, it's undoubtable that the Throne of Heroes will intervene."

"Throne if heroes?" Ren asked her. That sounds like something they just made up if he's being honest.

"If we're the force that encourages humanity while aiding our guests, then you could call the throne the force that is meant to safeguard it's survival, no matter what means are necessary with the powers of humanity's recorded heroes." Igor said to him.

However Ren looked around while the room seemed to fade out.

"It seems we've ran out of time." Igor said to Ren, who looked confused. "Of you can overcome this first crisis, then weshallmeet again."

"May luck be on your side." Lavenza said as he room began to fade out from his point of view.
