AN: Another Naley story and it's not be your everyday One Tree Hill story where Nathan is a basketball player or anything like that. It's gonna be something totally different. I hope everyone will enjoy this one.
Haley James was in the middle of making breakfast as she heard her four year old Jamie running into the kitchen with her roommate and Jamie's Godmother Brooke Davis following behind." Well good morning you two." Haley greeted them as she set two plates of scramble eggs, bacon and breakfast potatoes on the kitchen bar as she watched Jamie take a seat at the barstool.
" No chocolate chips pancakes mama?" Jamie asked in disappointment as he looks down at his plate with a frown as he was looking forward to having some chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast.
" Sorry buddy, but I don't have time to make any chocolate chip pancakes. I gotta get you to preschool and I got some errands to run before I have that interview with a new nanny." Haley said as she leans back the kitchen counter and took a sip of her coffee.
" We're really getting a nanny?" Jamie asked with excitement in his voice with a huge grin spreading across his face as he finishes up his breakfast. Jamie loves the idea of getting a nanny and he can't wait until his mama hires one.
Haley chuckled as she nods her head." Hopefully, but you need to hurry up and finish getting ready for school." Haley said as she chuckled again as she watched Jamie jump off from his stool and ran back upstairs into his room and got ready for school.
Brooke exhales through her nose and shook her head." I can't believe that you're actually going to hire a nanny to watch Jamie." She said with a scoff as she poured herself another cup of coffee.
" What's wrong with that?" Haley asked as she couldn't understand why Brooke is go against the idea of having a Nanny for Jamie." Look with you going to New York on business trips for Clothes over bros and not to mention your store, and with me teaching five days a week. I kinda need a nanny Brooke."
Yeah, but what about Peyton and Jake?"
" Peyton is at Red bedrooms every day working on Mia's new album and Jake is too busy coaching the ravens with Skills, and before you even say it I'm not asking Julian either." Haley and Julian had been really good friends since college, about four years ago when Haley and Julian was in their senior year of college, they sorta got drunk and one thing lead to another... and then Haley found out she was pregnant with Jamie.
" When was the last time you talked to him?"
Haley shrugs her shoulders. " I don't know, not since our college graduation. "
" So... he doesn't know about Jamie? Or the fact he's Jamie's father?" Brooke asked as she took a drink of her coffee.
Haley sighs heavily as she rolled her eyes." No, he doesn't." Haley answered as she looked away from Brooke as she was ignoring the glare Brooke was giving her." Stop looking at me like that Brooke." She retorted with a sigh.
" Haley! It's been four years. Don't you think it's about time he knows about Jamie? Don't you think he deserves to know his son?" Brooke asked with concern.
" If Julian really wants to get to know about Jamie, he knows how to call me. Which he obviously hasn't not since the day he moved to L.A." A few days after graduation Haley went over to Julian's apartment to tell him that she was pregnant with their son. But before Haley was able to get the words out, Julian told her that he was moving to Los Angeles to start working with his dad as a film producer.
" Well, I still don't think you should hire a nanny." Brooke said as she set her cup down into the sink." Alright, I am on my way to the clothing store." She said as she grabbed her car keys and purse off of the kitchen counter.
" When's Millie coming back?"
" I think she said her and mouth are coming home some time next week. Hey don't hire the new nanny not until I meet her." Brooke said pointing her index finger at Haley with a stern look as she heads out of the door.
Haley snorts shaking her head as she walked over to the sink and rinse her cup out. She then sighs softly as she noticed Jamie still haven't come down yet." Hey, Jimmy Jam. Come on buddy we gotta go." She called upstairs.
" How long have you been working as a nanny?" Haley asked as she set two cups of coffee on the kitchen table. One for her and one for Ms. Wilson. After Haley dropped Jamie off at preschool and after running few errands this morning Haley started to interview some potential nannies for Jamie.
" I have been a nanny for only six years ago." Ms. Wilson answered as she took a drink of her coffee. Setting her cup down Ms. Wilson continued to speak." Ms. James, I know after this interview you're probably going to interview other nannies and I might not get the job. But I want you to know that I love kids and I love working with them. The last family I was working for the Parkers was a wonderful family and they had a son who was about your son age and I just absolutely adored him." She said with a chuckle.
Haley nods her head as she cleared her throat." What happened with them? Why did you stop working for them?"
Ms. Wilson sighs for a moment. " I sorta got into arguments with the parents a few times. So I decided to quit. The last thing I heard was that the whole family moved to California a few years ago." She said with a shrug.
Haley nods her head once more." The reason why I'm hiring a nanny for my son Jamie is because I am a teacher at Tree Hill high and I need someone to stay here with Jamie, while I'm at work five days a week. My roommate and best friend who is also Jamie's God mother is CEO of Clothes over bros and she travels a lot. Mostly to New York, so she really doesn't have time to stay home with Jamie as well.
Ms. Wilson shook her head as she understood everything Haley was saying." You don't have say anything. I completely understand and I totally get it." She said with a friendly smile as she chuckled a little.
Haley looked down as she kept looking at Ms. Wilson resume. " Um, I think that's all for now. I give you a call and let you know my decision in a few days." Even though Haley still have other nannies to interview today, she has a good feeling about Ms. Wilson so far.
Ms. Wilson nods her head as she started to stand up." Thanks for your time and I will be waiting for your call Ms. James. " She said as she extended her hand out and shook Haley's hand before turning around and heading towards the front door.
" I, will walk you out." Haley offered as she got up and walked with Ms. Wilson to the front door. After saying good bye and watching Ms. Wilson drive out of her driveway. Haley sighs deeply as she stepped back into the house and closed the door behind her.
She exhales as she turned around and headed back into the kitchen and prepared for her next interview. Haley just hopes she's doing the right thing by hiring a nanny for Jamie. Normally Haley wouldn't let outsiders besides family and friends watch over her four year old son. But since everyone is busy and with her working five days a week. Haley really needs someone to be there for Jamie.
