And despite the beauty of the new morning, a certain cat, made her speedy way through the Japanese port, "Nyaaaa, out of the way please" the green haired shipgirl said, on her way to the Sakura Empire's Research awaited her there, would without a doubt, change the fighting style the shipgirls used in fighting the Sirens, and replace the need for unnecessary violence.
'vroom' The doors opened, letting the Sakura shipgirl inside the building, "Nya.., home sweet home" the cat girl said, setting down a few papers given to her by the higher-ups. Making her way to the doors, the shipgirl noticed a message on the computer, from the Shikikian, "...Huh, what do we have here, nya?" Akashi wondered, looking at the message on the screen, tapping on it. As the message expanded, a hologram appeared at the center of the room, with blueprints for a new rigging system, "Heh.., what's a 'Muse System'?"
Flashback: A week ago
"This idea is going to rock! I can't wait to see how it looks!" Saratoga yelled, excited from the news of an idol group being assembled. "That's enough now Sara, you're going to hurt yourself" Lexington told her 'little' sister, trying to calm her down before she tipped over the table, "Oh! Sorry sis, just got all excited you know" Saratoga sat back down, stretching the back of her head. "There hasn't been anything this exciting since the war ended all those years ago" the now slightly-grown carrier said, smiling as she took a sip of her drink.
"Nya! It was only a suggestion!" Akashi yelled, ears twitching slightly, "With the war long gone, we need something to keep ourselves useful, nya-like opening a business or something" the repairship explained. "Interesting, besides being museums now, or keeping the peace, I suppose such an idea is necessary" Lexington said, taking a sip of her drink, "See? Told ya she'd be into it" Saratoga said with a smile, "If you don't mind me asking" the older carrier spoke up, "What did you have in mind Akashi?"
End of Flashback
"...Oh right, that" the cat girl remembered, how the idea of gathering an idol group would help bring love into humanity, especially if it was sang by their lovely heros, "Heh, this actually might work, nya" Akashi thought, sensing a possible money making opportunity, before running off to find Shikikian.
Eagle Union
Finishing another day at the base, a certain blonde made her way back to the dormitories, waiting to see her sisters, "Whew, home sweet home" the teen said, entering the dorms and making her way through the building. Stopping at the door, the blonde hid a letter in her shirt before entering, not trying to surprise them, "Hey guys I'm...back?" she looked around, confused as to why the room was so empty, "Hellooooo?" she said before being caught off guard. "Boo!" a voice called out from behind her, surprising the blonde, "Ahhh?! What the?! Denver!" she shouted out, embracing her sister in a hug, "Mmmmmm missed you Cleve, we've been waiting for you all day!" the smaller girl, Denver, told the tomboy.
"All day? For me? what do you mean by-Wait, 'we've'?" Cleveland asked, wondering what her little sister meant, "SURPRISE!" multiple voices shouted, scaring the blonde cruiser, "Whoa! What..are you all doing here?" the tomboy asked, seeing ALL her sisters together in one room, friends included. "Welcome home Cleve" a blue haired girl said, walking up to the blonde, "Congratulations" she smiled, handing her a gift, "T-Thanks Lena, I like-wait, congratulations for what?" Cleveland asked, looking to her sisters for an answer.
"The tryouts sis, you gotta spot" Columbia told her, chewing on gum, "The...tryouts?" said the older sister, still lost at what she meant, "They mean the idol tryouts Cleve, don't you remember?" Helena told the blonde, holding back a smile. "But I didn't go to any..." the tomboy began to think, knowing who did all this, "Princeton? Care to explain?", turning to face the light carrier, the other girls scooted away from her, "...Ummm...I...may have sent your name in to...get closer to Saratoga" the pink haired CVL explained, face turning red.
"sigh Still obsessed with her, geez" Cleveland scratched her head, looking around before turning to Montpelier, "Monty, you're in charge, Lena?" the blonde faced her love, "I got something to say to you" the tomboy made her way to the bedrooms. "Don't get bold you two! The walls are thin!" Columbia yelled, making the cruiser couple cry out in embarrassment, "COLUMBIA!"
Locking the door to the room, Cleveland pulled out the letter she hid in her shirt, breaking the news to her partner, "Congratulations alright" the blonde said, showing Helena the paper, "Cleveland.." the Brooklyn class cruiser said, reading the letter, then looking at her girlfriend. "Safe to say.., this girl is going places!" the blonde laughed in excitement, doing a small dance, "Hah, Cleveland.." Helena smiled, tackling the sporty shipgirl in a hug before pecking her on the lips, "Mmmwah, my tomboy idol" she smiled brightly.
Azur Lane Base: Academy
Leaving the classrooms as the bell marked the end of another school day, a certain Royal shipgirl made her speedy way to the courtyard, with playful intentions in mind. "Javelin!" A voice called out to her, making her look, "Over here!" a young teen in a red skirt and black and white sleeveless shirt said, waving her over, "Nimi! Aya! Guys you're here!" the destroyer ran over to her friends. "Heyyy.., Laffey is here too.." the always sleepy girl said, frowning at being ignored, "Oh! Sorry Laffey! Didn't mean to" Javelin rubbed her head, hopping the bunny destroyer would forgive her, "Des, we have...genzai...for you" Ayanami said with a yawn.
"Eh! Are you okay Aya?" the purple haired girl asked her friend, "Hai...just sleepy.." the Sakura teen said with another yawn, "ahhhh...koko" Ayanami handed Javelin a beautifully wrapped box. "Whoa, for me?" the Royal asked, "SURPRISE!" the three friends said in unison, making said Royal blush, "W-What? But my birthday isn't until...Whoaaa.." Javelin said with awe, looking at the letter from the box she unwrapped. "No...way.., is this?" "Tadaaa..." Laffey said lazily, doing her best not to sleep, "Remember that time you wanted to be an idol? Before the krieg?" Nimi told her British friend.
"AHH!" Javelin gasped with surprise, reading the letter, "We're in!" she shouted with glee, "Nani?" Ayanami said, tilting her head, "Was?! We?! What do you mean by that?!" Z23 yelled with confusion. "Mmmm..she's right" Laffey said, reading the letter too, "All of us have been asked to join the group" she finished, pulling out a bottle of Oxy-Cola, "Des, I don't even know how to sing" Ayanami said quietly, looking down as the metal 'ears' on her head dropped.
"Hey, come on now guys, It can't be that hard, right?" Javelin did her best to cheer up her friends, "Nimi! Are you really going to let a little bit of singing scare you?" the Royal shipgirl asked the Ironblood girl.
"Hah?! I'm not scared!" Z23 replied with a flustered blush, also adjusting her beret, "I just.., I'm not a big fan of singing, that's all" Nimi crossed her arms. "Boooo.., you sound like Admiral Hipper now.." Laffey complained, embarrassing the German teen, "WHAT?! I-I'm nothing like Hipper! I'm kind right?! And at least I HAVE a chest!" Nimi proclaimed with a huff. "Hai.., biggest out of all of us" Ayanami said as she poked the Ironblood girl's breast, "Ahhh! Ayanami!" Nimi screamed with a blush, hugging herself, "D-Das war nicht sehr nett, weißt du!" Z23 yelled in her mother tongue.
"Hahaha, your so sensitive Nimi" Javelin teased the poor girl, "Kein..Grund zur..Panik? Hey I'm getting better at it" the Royal shipgirl smiled at herself. "O-Obviously! Because of my tutoring!" Z23 said as she blushed, "I thought because you promised her an ice cream if she learned, des" Ayanami gave her input, "Eh! Well.., at least it worked, right?" the German teen replied. "I wanna sing" Laffey interrupted, holding the paper, "Oh right! I forgot! Thank you Laffey" Javelin took the letter, "Do you think anyone else will be there?"
(New) Ironblood
Walking through the halls of one of the many rebuilt naval bases, Admiral Hipper made way to the base canteen, being the middle of the day by now, it's where most of the others would be. "Schwesteeeer!" A chirpy voice called out from afar, "Huh, early as always" the blonde mentally told herself as she turned around, "Schwester! Hi Hi!" a girl called out, stopping before the heavy cruiser, "sigh How do you always find me again?" Hipper asked, continuing on her way to the base cafeteria. "Hehe, you know! Sisterly love" the girl, Blücher, replied as she closely followed behind her older sister, "The same with Eugen!" she smiled, "Though.., I don't think she enjoys it as much as you" the cheerful blonde said.
"Oh yeah? I can't imagine why" Admiral Hipper quietly told her little sister as she opened the doors to the canteen, the soft sound of music and voices filling her ears.
"Ohhhh lecker, it always smells good here" Blücher said as she smelled the air, the scent of bratwurst hitting her nose, "OH! And it's my favorite! Come on!" the happy girl ran past her sister, almost running into someone. "Ack! Blücher! Slow down you-! Ugh, Macht nichts.." Hipper said as she shook her head, "Still a handful?" someone from behind her said, startling her, "Hah?! Was?".
"Apologies, I didn't mean to scare you" the girl said, "Oh, Köln, always good seeing you" the blonde tsundere told her old friend, "Any good news?" Hipper asked. Shaking her head, Köln answered the blonde, "Nein, only a letter from the Kommandant" the light cruiser said, handing her an envelope, "A letter from her? This better be good.." Hipper took the envelope before heading to her table.
Taking a seat, the heavy cruiser opened the letter before she noticed the others, "Let's see...blah blah blah...Was? And this..?" focused on the letter at hand, Hipper became vulnerable to a certain heavy cruiser's teasing. "Oh? Finally getting those breast implants you wanted?" the voice, making the blonde tense up, feeling a SOFT sensation pressed on her back, "WAH?! Damn it Eugen!" Hipper cursed, seeing her 'little' sister again. "Hehe, love you too, 'little' sister" Prinz Eugen winked, annoying Hipper even further, "Grrrr I swear.." she accidentally crumbled the letter, "Oh? What is it then?" Eugen asked, looking at the now ruined paper.
"I was about to get to that" the tsundere glared, opening the letter again, "Blah blah blah idol blah bla-Eh?" Hipper stopped herself, rereading the letter. "Pfft! An idol?" Eugen teased, holding back a laugh, "Might as well make Roon one too" she continued to tease, "Maybe it was for me? Kommandant can't seem to keep her eyes off me after all?" the heavy cruiser smirked.
"Hah! I wouldn't doubt that! You and your stupid mounds of fat!" Hipper yelled, getting the attention of Blücher, "Oh! Are we going to have a beer contest again?" "NEIN!"
