CHAPTER 1:
At the Griffin House in Quahog, sometime in late August, Stewie and Brian were sitting on the living room couch watching TV.
"We now return to 'Western Cooking with Mayor Wild West'," a TV announcer said.
"Stewie, why are we even watching this?" Brian asked.
"Oh, Bri; you ask too many questions. Just sit back and have a good time," Stewie said.
Just as they continued to watch, Meg could be seen taking a suitcase downstairs.
"Whoa, Meg; what are you doing with that suitcase?" Brian asked.
"Something I should've done a long time ago; I'm moving out!" Meg announced.
"WHAT?!" Brian asked, shocked. "You gotta be kidding me."
"No joke, Brian; I'm at the end of my rope. I'm sick and tired of being harassed by my own father. Don't you remember a few nights ago at the dinner table?" Meg asked.
At the dinner table, Lois served the family chicken and Peter seemed skeptical. "Peter, what's the matter?! You've barely touched your dinner!"
Peter looked up and replied, "I guess I'm not that hungry!" crossing his arms and looking away. Chris gets worried and asked, "Yeah, Dad. Did something happen at work today?!"
"No, Chris, I'm just not in the mood to eat, that's all," Peter said.
"Dad, maybe you should stop going to the Clam so much after work," Meg suggested.
"Shut up, Meg," Peter said, being his usual abusive self to his daughter.
Sure Meg put up with hearing those exact words for years, but judging by her expression, she had reached her limit.
"You've put up with your father saying that to you for years," Brian reminded her.
"Well, not anymore! I'm leaving this house and most importantly, I'm leaving Quahog!" Meg announced.
"Aren't you going to say goodbye to Chris and your parents?" Brian asked.
"No way! And you better not tell them where I am. The whole point of me moving is so I can finally get away from dad," Meg mentioned. "Promise me, Brian."
"Okay, okay, I promise," Brian said.
"Good. Farewell, Brian and Stewie," Meg said, carrying her suitcase out the door and into her car.
At the Smith House in Langley Falls that same day, Hayley and her mother were sitting down to dinner.
"Mom, can I ask you something?" Hayley asked.
"Sure, honey. What's on your mind?" Francine asked.
"How would you feel if Jeff and I moved out?" Hayley asked.
"Well, I say if it's something you want to do, go for it. But most importantly, why do you want to do this?" Francine asked.
"Well, I've thought a lot about this; I know it's been years since Roger forced Jeff into alien abduction, but I had this dream last night that got me thinking 'What if Roger tries that again?' I have to get away from Roger before he has that chance," Hayley explained.
"Honey, don't you think you're being a little paranoid?" Francine questioned.
"Under normal circumstances, I would think so too. But, Mom…it's Roger," Hayley clarified.
Hit by the realization of Roger's unpredictability, Francine conceded.
"I understand. Just promise me you'll call when you find a place to live," Francine said.
"Of course I will," Hayley said as the mother and daughter shared a hug.
Once they finished dinner, Hayley went back upstairs to grab her suitcase and then she and Jeff hit the road.
