Luz and Amity were sitting on the couch, talking. Eda had decided to go for a fly in her new form, Owlbert going along to fly with her. King was just taking a nap in their room. Amity had come over to get away from her family for a bit but was getting ready to leave after just sitting and talking with luz for several hours. Only for Eda to burst into the house shouting. "I found a way into the human world! And I need your guys' help to save Owlbert."

Luz and Amity just stared in shock. Hooty, the door still being opened when it was slammed, spoke up. "Can't we enjoy all my hard work for longer than a couple days before something goes wrong?"

Luz rushed forward, Amity not far behind, looks of determination on their faces as Luz spoke up. "Alright Eda, what could we possibly do to help?"

Eda smiled at her apprentice and the Blight. "Well, I got a good look at the short guy, he looked around your guys' age, and the older gent was kind of old, but he was in good shape, slugged me in Harpy form when I tried to get to Owlbert, but I noticed they had rounded ears, meaning they were human, and the young guy pulled out a device that he aimed at the air and created a portal for the two of them to get through. But I snagged the same device off the older guy before he escaped."

Luz looked a little baffled as she thought through this. "Did you stay in harpy form, and was Owlbert with the younger guy?"

Eda nodded with a confused look. "Yeah, what's your point?"

Luz just stared at Eda, taking a deep breath, before slowly releasing it. "Okay, we can't rule out anything, but the old guy might have just been protecting his student from you, and they could be thinking they were protecting Owlbert from you as well. Or they wanted Owlbert for themselves and rushed off when you caught them capturing him."

Eda chuckled as she pulled out the laser gun. "Well, we were smacked out of the sky as we were flying around by some random demon, so they probably didn't expect to find a small owl, or a harpy gal flying at them. So, if it makes you happy, we will try to do this nicely first, and if they end up evil, then we go to plan A, and launch an all-out assault on their home base until we rescue Owlbert and shut down their operations. So, plan B, we set bombs around their…"

Eda was cut off from planning three other ways that would involve destruction and chaos, by Hooty that chose to give his own thoughts, hoping to ride further along on his successes lately with his previous plans. "Why not have the two girls distract the boy, while you call Lillian to distract the man, while you sneak through the house to find Owlbert?"

King, who had woken up from the slamming and shouting, and walked into hear plan A and the first half of plan B, decided to argue. "Hey, are you telling the two girls you just got to say they like each other to mess with a boy's heart? We would have better chances of using the bombs."

Luz and Amity took a little offense to that. "We could so totally distract a single boy."

Eda and King looked at the two for a couple seconds before laughing. Eda calmed down enough to speak up. "Listen kid, we were all there the entire time you two were crushing on one another, if we relied on you two flirting, we would be waiting for several adventures and mushy life lessons to be learned. No offense."

Both girls blushed after hearing things put that way. But Hooty spoke up again. "I already called Lulu; she will be here around afternoon."

Everyone stared at him, curious as to how he did it. They were only answered when Hooty coughed and a crow demon flew out, while Hooty looked at it for all of a second. "Ooh, a snack!" Before he ate it again.

They each took an awkward step away from him.

Ford sighed in exasperation as he once again was laughed at over losing his dimensional transporter. He was lucky Dipper had joined him in the adventure, but after seeing a small curiously sized owl, that had special and magical properties, fall and crash land in front of them, before they were attacked by a strange kind of harpy. Dipper and he suspected that the harpy was trying to devour the little owl, so after placing the little guy in a barrier, and opening a portal home, they jumped in and quickly closed the portal.

Ford hadn't noticed until he reached home and set his stuff up, but the harpy must have cut the cord to his own holster, because it was missing. Ford had that things strapped on good enough that Stan was the only person he knew that could have stolen it. Stan does enjoy proving that he couldn't keep the man from snatching his stuff on occasion. But he had been under attack by a larger than average harpy with unique features, and he would have stayed and fought it with what he had, if he had brought his weaponry with him, but he had peeked into the world before, and it looked tame enough they wouldn't need to suit up fully for just a little scouting.

Dipper had taken up the job of caring for the small owl, having found that it enjoyed eating his magically charged gems. Little common gems that he invented to charge some of his inventions, not very hard to create or find, so it didn't hurt when Mabel wanted to hand feed the little thing. But the owl had to be kept caged for now, who knows what things would happen to it in this new environment, what would try to eat it before it could figure out how unsafe it was out there.

Dipper had gone to collect a couple magical ingredients for something he was making. The boy refused to tell Ford or Mabel anything, saying that he believed they were blabber mouths. Mabel took offense, until he helped her recall several times where she blabbed about important things, they were supposed to keep secret. Ford had done the same thing, before he had to face facts that he bragged about how intelligent Dipper was and blabbed about inventions he made enough that he would blab the secret.

Stan knew, but he was able to keep a secret better than anyone, and Dipper wanted some advice over a couple things with it. Pacifica was visiting today, all in a plan to help Mabel figure out what Dipper was making. The two girls were both denied knowing, but Pacifica wasn't given a proper reason, just telling her it was a surprise, before walking away.

Mabel took that as it was a surprise for Pacifica, but she couldn't be sure. Seeing as he had told her about surprises he had for their friends before, ignoring that it was a time like that he reminded her of her spoiler ways. Dipper had worked so hard to learn how to cook, and she had spoiled the surprise picnic he had set up when she talked all about his activities with Pacifica. Mabel felt terrible about it.

Mabel still owed Pacifica for buffering some of his anger that time.

But today was two days after Ford got pilfered of his gun by a harpy, and Stan was still telling ex-wife jokes at his expense. Dipper had hidden some plans and ingredients in his closet, having stocked plenty of extra. Mabel had managed once to get a peek at what he had collected, but there were too many ingredients and alien tech to get a clear guess. She even teamed up with Ford to get Dipper out so she could snap some pictures.

It worked, but Ford was unable to guess what he was planning without knowing what ingredients he still lacked, or the blueprints to what he had made, which Dipper had been keeping on his person, going so far as to keep them with him even as he showered. Ford and Mabel were driving themselves up the wall trying to figure things out.

Mabel was distracted as she heard a knock at the door. Stan and Ford were arguing about things and hadn't noticed the knock, so she had to answer it. Pacifica shrugged as she followed out of curiosity and hopes of better entertainment then two arguing old guys.

The people at the door were definitely more interesting, seeing as there were two young girls with an older woman. One of the girls had a nice tan complexion, her hair was brown, with a purplish tint to it. She was wearing a white t-shirt with purple sleeves, and what the girls could see as a hood. The second girl had purple hair, obviously dyed with some of her brown roots showing, wearing what looked to be a casual black shirt that hung low, looking more like what a witch would wear. The older woman had the whole librarian look going on, with glasses, dark navy hair a single streak of grey, and wore a long dress. The most unique feature was that she had two different colored eyes, one grey, the other green.

As Lilith stepped forward to speak, there was a large crash nearby, drawing attention from inside the house. Lilith did her best not to assume the worst of her sister waiting in the woods for her chance to sneak in. As Ford and Stan rushed out past the girls, Ford holding a gun while Stan had some iron knuckles.

Both men relaxed as they noticed a bunch of Manotaurs rolling out of the woods, Dipper being in the middle of the wrestling match, as he used a spear. The boy was shirtless, wearing just a pair of khaki shorts. He had his scar from two summers ago on full display, the three claw marks from when he battled the multi-bear. The three young girls that were not related to the boy couldn't help but watch and drool a bit as he used the spear to keep himself from being pinned, before using it as leverage to flip one of the large beasts over.

Dipper had been getting exercise like this every summer, not skipping leg day, though he would be forced to cut back on these kind of exercises during the school year, when he returned to Piedmont, though he would still exercise. For the last three years, he has been doing things like this to get in shape, and it showed. He wasn't no Hulk Hogan, but he wasn't that noodle-armed little boy anymore. Though Mabel will constantly bring up how he still sneezes like a kitten.

Dipper wound up losing the spear at some point, but he still managed to flip and throw a minotaur or two before they all stopped as Stan yelled. "Hey! You all better cut that out. You know how I feel about you trampling through my house."

The Manotaurs all looked towards the shack, taking notice that Dipper almost threw the last guy through the wall, before he had jumped right back in. Dipper chuckled as he started to say goodbye to all the guys. Stan would normally ignore or join the roughhousing, but Dipper only really dragged them toward the shack so he could yell at them to go away before they break something.

Dipper had explained what he had to do to Stan, so he could chase them away as Dipper got what he needed. The Manotaurs were easy to get the ingredients from, but he had to wrestle it out of them, and they would always forget why they started to wrestle and just go until they either found something manlier to do, or they were challenged to do something just as manly.

Dipper finally took notice of the extras in his audience. "Hi?"

Amity was at a loss, they couldn't try to stick to the plan, this guy was not some random dorky nerd. Amity would have been able to handle that at least, and Luz could have followed her lead. Instead, they get this strong and independent manly guy, who if Eda is right about, is an apprentice under a scientist that can crack dimensional travel. This was not going to be easy. Luz, however.

Luz rushed up to meet the guy, stars in her eyes. "Woah, that was totally awesome, what were those guys, how could you just throw them like that, how are you not hurt after fighting with those guys?"

Dipper laughed as he placed a hand on her shoulder and pulled her back so he could explain. "Those guys aren't as scary as they look, they are Minotaurs, but they prefer to be called Manotaurs, and I have been getting trained by those guys for the past two summers and have created some things to give me the edge I need to keep up with them. Also, let me at least go get a shirt on before you ask more questions, it is kind of embarrassing to be grilled like this by a stranger without a shirt."

Luz blushed as Pacifica spoke up. "I can think of plenty of ways to grill you like this."

Luz blushed a deeper shade as she caught the double meaning, while Amity and Lilith just looked to each other asking what they mean by grill. Dipper looked at the people in front of the house, noticing that it would involve pushing past everyone, he decided to take a short cut. Stabbing his spear into the ground, he kicked off it as he flipped into the air, pulling the spear with him and latching onto the roof with the extra reach from his spear, and flipping to his window that was left open from earlier.

Every girl was left in shock over the feat, besides Mabel who just hmphed and called him a showoff. Eda, who was hiding in the woods not too far away, using a invisible rune every now and then to stay hidden, was also impressed.

Ford turned to the guests this time. "Well, since we are here, what can I help you ladies with?"

Lilith blushed as she was reminded of the plan, thankful when the grouchier of the two older men went inside, saying he was going to watch "TV" whatever that was. She was really at a loss on what to do. She hadn't really dated before, and this was always Eda's area of expertise. She didn't even get a date to grom, she took Eda. Or Eda took her at least. She panicked as she blurted out the first thing she could think of.

"Hello, I recently started working at the library and my niece suggested I ask some of the other locals for ideas on a display I was tasked to work on."

Ford smiled. "Ah, the educational system at its finest, the crisp fresh smell and sounds of all the books that hold the ancient knowledge for all to learn. Such a fine job you have found yourself miss. I would love to go over a couple ideas I can think of to aid you in your quest. Anything to help a mighty goal such as your current one."

Lillian smiled as she realized that this man just might be able to actually help her with her job. Maybe if he could help her get information on the railings in the human world, she could add onto her current ideas. This might work out better than she thought. The man wasn't nearly as mean as her sister made him out to be.

Luz and Amity were at a slight loss, seeing as they needed to get the kids out of the house now, seeing as there is more than one of them. What guy would deny going to get a snack with two attractive young ladies? How about a guy and two girls, one looked to be his sister, but that still made it more awkward to deal with this.

Luz was about to speak up when they noticed Dipper come back down, now wearing a red t-shirt, and a blue trucker hat, with a pine tree on it. They were now able to clearly check out the two girls as well, the blonde was wearing a name brand designer purple outfit, probably expensive, while the brunette was wearing a well-crafted brown sweater with a magnifying glass on it.

Mabel was the one that asked about what the two girls were up to, obviously being the most outgoing of the group. Luz chuckled as Amity rolled her eyes. They would have to alter their plan slightly, seeing as there was more than just a boy. "We are new around here, like her aunt, and were hoping to make some friends."

Dipper shrugged as he spoke up. "Well, I was about to go about and collect a couple more ingredients for my current project, if anyone wants to join me."

Luz brightened considerably. "What kind of project? Does it have something to do with those Manotaur guys?"

Dipper chuckled over the girl's enthusiasm. "Maybe, I have been dealing with everything so far, having a couple extra hands might help. I do have to go grab a couple things I left upstairs though."

Dipper almost hid it, but Luz noticed his eyes drift to the woods. Thinking quickly, she stepped forward. "Well, I can come help you grab the stuff, I always wanted to go on an adventure into the unknown, looking for rare magical ingredients."

Dipper smirked as he nodded. "Okay, follow me upstairs, and you can bring down the spare gear that I have for when others join me in my adventures."

Amity looked slightly nervous as she watched Luz follow the boy, turning to the two girls that were awfully quiet. Pacifica gave her an unamused look. "I hope your friend realize he is taken."

Amity decided to return the look. "Well, so is she."

Mabel gasped. "A new OTP."

Amity looked to Pacifica with a raised brow. The blonde shrugged as she answered. "Mabel enjoys doing the whole matchmaker thing. So, she is dating you?" A nod. "My parents are kind of narrow minded with things like this, so I have rather little experience with these things. If I offend, I apologize in advance."

Mabel chuckled. "In a town where it is legal to marry woodpeckers, your parents are silly for having complaints about that stuff. At least they are human and human relationships. Gravity Falls is the only place I know that allows someone to marry any animal like that."

As the girls downstairs were having their conversation, Dipper led Luz up the stairs, having introduced themselves on the way, Dipper naming his two girls, as Luz named her girlfriend and aunt. Dipper explained his grunkles, including the meaning behind grunkle. As Dipper reached his door, he decided to speak up.

"Hey, you said you like adventure, right? Well, recently, me and Ford created these guns that allow us to explore nearby dimensions for rare and magical ingredients, and we recently got attacked by a harpy in one." Luz swallowed the saliva that suddenly filled her mouth as she listened to Dipper. "Yeah, scary. But we managed to find this little owl before it attacked. I have been looking over it all night and have it in a cage in my room here, and I was thinking of dissecting it."

Luz's eyes widened like crazy when she heard him say dissect but kept her cool. As long as she could get him out of here and keep him away, Eda could swoop in and get Owlbert before anything bad happened. Dipper smiled as he opened his door.

Luz was met with a small, opened cage on the desk across the room, Owlbert sitting in it, eating a couple of shiny gems that looked to be glowing. Dipper chuckled a bit. "If you and your friends are just here to for the bird, you really should try harder to con us."

Luz stopped as she just realized she was walking towards Owlbert. Who was now flying out of the cage and landing on her shoulder. "What?"

Dipper chuckled. "The library in town hasn't been hiring, nor do they really do the display stuff, other than some puppet guy's, puppet show that he puts on for kids. Not much really changes about that place. Anyplace that involves said displays would be in a much larger town, and she wouldn't have brought some kids with her. You would have done better if you had called her your adoptive mother, and she had moved to town and was advised to check out the shack."

Luz realized she failed. Though Dipper kept going. "If you really just want the wood owl, he can go with you. If you are really wanting to join me in retrieving my ingredients, then you are more than welcome to join me. As easy as your story was to see through, Lilith looked to be rather excited to talk library with Ford anyway. Either she has a crush, or she actually does enjoy the whole library thing."

Luz sighed. "She is a librarian, just not for this town's library. Thank you for not hurting Owlbert by the way."

Dipper smiled. "He was the only wooden owl we saw in the area we were in, so we had figured the harpy was hunting it as a food source."

Luz noticed the underlined question about the harpy. Dipper continued to do as he told the others he was doing, and collecting the equipment to go on an adventure, so Luz decided to clear the air. "Owlbert is the harpy's palisman. She attacked you to save it."

Dipper chuckled at that. "So, would you mind giving back Ford's dimensional tool?"

Luz was actually torn over the request. She needed it to get home herself. So, she explained her own story. Not in great detail, but enough so Dipper knew the details. Dipper smiled as he handed her his phone. "Well, give your mom a call while you're here, so she knows you found a way to travel between, so she knows you can at minimum visit. Me and Ford can set you up with a device that will help you out."

Luz started to cry as she hugged the boy. Thanking him several times as he hugged her back and let her cry on his shoulder.

As Dipper stepped downstairs, Amity glared slightly. "Where is Luz?"

Dipper smiled as he pointed back up. "She is with Olwbert, calling her mom. If you want to head up, feel free." Amity looked slightly confused as Dipper called Owlbert by name. Mabel stepped forward to say something, until Dipper cut her off. "I am actually surprised at you Mabel. Ford is talking alone with an attractive woman and you're not shipping them?"

Mabel smiled. "Who says I already haven't?" Mabel pulled out a sweater, Amity couldn't tell from where, but it had what appeared to be Ford, if the long trench coat was anything to go by, facing what could pass as Lilith. The yarn made it slightly fuzzy, but you could tell the second person is supposed to be Lilith.

Amity blinked. "How did you get that so fast?"

Mabel smirked. "Don't be silly, I have pairing sweaters for all my friends, I make them myself. Premade with the image of my friend, such as grunkle Ford or Stan, and add in the partner as I see them."

Amity rolled her eyes, though she couldn't hide how impressed with her she was, she also saw how over the top it was. That was a good quality sweater, and if the image wasn't so silly, her mother might even approve of wearing it. Mabel went off to do her matchmaking thing with Ford as Dipper walked slightly off the porch. "You do realize your apprentice has your owl now, right?"

Eda walked out of the woods, dragging her feet, slouching and grumbling about spoilsports. "You know, you're supposed to be evil so we can break in steal your stuff and not feel bad about it."

Dipper chuckled. "You would get along well with Stan."

Eda scoffed at the boy. "Sorry, unlike my sister, I have someone."

Dipper shrugged. "You would still get along with him. Ya, your ages are off, by about a decade if my guess on your and her ages are correct, but that won't stop Mabel from shipping. She might still make you a shipping sweater with or without knowing what your partner looks like, if you make a good impression on her."

Eda sighed as she held her hand out for a shake. "I'm Edalyn Clawthorne, and this guy on my shoulder is named King."

Dipper twitched slightly when he heard King say hi. "Your voice sounds a lot like an old enemy King." Dipper shook Eda's hand as he spoke. "I would suggest being careful when you speak up. We can easily handle Bill now, but there are still some creatures around that are paranoid beyond any level we can control. They might attack on sight."

King chuckled. "Thanks for the heads up."

Amity tapped her foot, about to ask about being taken to Luz, when said girl walked out, a backpack on her back, and a phone in her hand. "Thanks again Dipper, for letting me use your phone." The girls noticed but didn't say anything about how Luz looked to have been crying. Though Amity did notice the tear stains on Dipper's shoulder upon a second glance.

Dipper smiled as he reclaimed his phone. "So, what's the verdict?"

Luz chuckled as she explained. "My mother was happy to hear from me again, and after explaining that you said you would help me get home, and explaining that you have interdimensional travel, she was happy to know that I was safe. Her and Vee look forward to seeing me again."

Everyone smiled. Ford stepped out as he frowned at Dipper. "Dipper, did you actually send your sister after us? She has been talking about this project me and Lilith are working on as if it were a date." Taking notice of the extra face, he decided to ask. "Who is this?"

Dipper smirked. "This is Eda, she is your date's sister."

Ford groaned as Eda chuckled, Stan popping up behind him. "Hey, I was drawn here from the sounds of frustration over good natured ribbing with over exaggerating a get togethers importance. I heard Ford has a date. Bout time you met a gal."

Eda laughed as Lilith stepped out, her face was completely red as she stepped out in the sweater that Mabel had made. "What? It was a nice gesture that the young girl made for me. I couldn't just ignore it."

Dipper shook his head. "Whatever you say, great aunt Lillith."

As she heard the boy call her that, she became even more red. Eda and Stan were both laughing at their siblings now. Ford did his best to not to lower himself to his brother's level, while Lilith was doing her best not to look at anyone. Dipper decided to speak up. "You do realize that she is not going to stop shipping you two anytime soon, right?"

Lilith failed to stay above their level, seeing as she just pointed at her sister. "Well, if I am getting shipped with Ford, why hasn't anyone shipped those two?"

Stan chuckled a little louder as he spoke up. "Sorry, but you're a little late for that, toots. Eda is already my sister."

That got everyone to quiet down and stare in a bit of shock. Eda smirked. "It was back when I first escaped to the human world when I ran away. I was walking along in the human world here and was actually down on my luck. No one would accept the snails as currency, and it had just started to rain, I was starving, and I had just about given up hope. Until an older gentleman saw me and asked if I wanted to get out of the rain. I shrugged, I was a kickass witch, if the guy tried anything, I could just take him out, take his money, and use it to get me some food."

Stan smiled. "Yeah, I was driving along, saw a young girl walking along the road, looked absolutely miserable. I noticed even through the rain she was down on her luck, and with what happened to me, I just didn't have the heart to leave her there. So, I invited her to join me out of the rain. I used what I had to get a hotel room and ordered us some pizza. We talked and explained our situations, though she was vaguer than I was. She wound up hanging out with me for a bit, and we scammed a couple suckers. I taught her a good bit of what I know about the trade, and she even opened up to me about her little dimensional escapades. Didn't have a way to contact her, or I would have gone to her for help getting you back."

Eda took back over the story. "Our main scam was how I would just laze about in his car as he tried to sell his junk. People noticed me and would ask Stan questions. He introduced me as his sister and explained that we no longer had our parents. I was usually invited in and allowed to enjoy some food while Stan got a chance to sell more of his junk. You would be surprised how often people are willing to help a young lady out when she has a sob story."

Lilith and Ford were both frowning. Stan scoffed at them. "The only real lie we told was that we were brother and sister. Most other things we said were actually a bit truthful, and we mostly did it so Eda could get some food, which she grabbed a couple extra for me to eat when we got out of there. We didn't steal from them, just excepted their generosity to two down on their luck siblings."

Mabel and Luz teared up over the story, hugging their respective elder. "That is so sweet, somewhat questionable, but sweet."

Mabel still gasped. "Hey, that means that we do have a graunty. Eda is your sister, so she is our graunty."

Ford sighed. "These things don't work that way, Mabel."

Dipper sighed next. "You say that as if she cares, Ford."

Amity and Pacifica looked a little nervous as they looked between each other. Were they forgotten?

Alright, so I hope this story is well received. I did have this idea rolling around in my head for a bit, and even binged Owl House in preparation for writing it. it takes place after S2 E10, If that wasn't clear. But I will be doing a lot of improve chapters with this thing, and I hope I do good. Any advice is welcome like always, and I feel I should mention, I started cross posting to AO3, and am working on prettying up some of my works as I post them over there, and will be doubling back to fix up my works here. So be prepared for my stories to look better. At some point.

I have been working on posting some of my newer stories over there, because they lack the burnout I feel with my other stories, but I will be posting everything over there eventually, before coming back and updating these chapters with the better work.
