Hey guys. I just watched Heaven's feel, and… wow. That's… incredibly sad. I, at first, didn't like that she killed Kariya, but… these movies just made me see how she could have lived a happy life, with Rin, if Kariya never gave up on his role as a mage of the Matou family. The reason I bring this up… is that… Levi… will remember his past actions, and will pay for it… as time goes on. So… let's read the first chapter of Memories.
Rahul POV
This was the last night of me in prison.
The first night… I would see the person's dead body in front of me.
For some reason, I slept rather quickly.
Then, I saw a familiar darkness.
It was normal.
Then, I saw a stream of memories flow into me, as I saw people I didn't remember, yet I somehow... knew.
Eventually, my mind settled on one… memory.
What I could see, though, that it wasn't a memory, but more like looking at what was happening.
Levi walked out, with his clothes and everything.
"Jeez. Hanji, what the point of the experiments? I haven't been able to even clean anything without you dragging me out here."
She looked… more serious.
"Levi, you have the ability, like Rahul, to regenerate wounds, and even grow entire body parts back."
"Great, if someone decided to slice my body in half, that would be useful. What's the point?"
"I… have been doing research… and I've found a possibility that I haven't come across beforehand."
"What?"
"In this world, they have a much more advance medical knowledge, and they know about something called genetic modifications."
"Is that why you keep cutting my arm off?"
He no longer seemed to be happy in her presence, and neither did she.
"No. I… just want to see… what your limits are. If you could bounce back from me cutting your arm off, then there is a possibility that… we can make it so that no one else dies."
His eyes temporarily widened, before shrinking again.
"Idiot. Why didn't you tell this to me beforehand?"
"Because I wasn't sure then. I don't want an empty promise."
"That's the difference between you and Erwin. You could never do what he did."
She shut up, and cut his arm once again, this time, seemingly, saddened.
She wasn't the ball of excitement she was when she first showed up.
Levi's left arm grew back, after around 10 minutes, as steam blew off of his wound.
He clasped his fists, as his feeling in his arm just came back.
"Jeez. Why do you do this again?"
"Because… I want to make sure… the speed is consistent. If it is, that means that… we can use your blood… to make everyone have a similar biology, to make everyone… live."
"Whatever you say. Just do it, without hesitation."
She took her knives that she cut Levi with, and put them away.
As soon as she stepped back, however, into the house, an explosion of light appeared on the porch.
As the light cleared, Levi, along with me, looked out… towards the eyes of hatred and confusion.
A red haired kid, with golden eyes, and blades in his hands.
A white haired kid with purple eyes and a dress, one that made her look… unusual.
A pink haired girl that looked like she was a watermelon incarnate.
A white haired kid with green highlights that made him look like a spring onion.
A brown haired girl, with gold eyes… and she stepped back from everything.
"What the hell? Hanji, is this a part of your experiment?"
All of them looked at me, and focused on Levi.
"You…"
The red headed kid was the first to speak, and the first to lift his blades at him
"What? What did I do to you?"
Levi grabbed onto his blades as soon as he struck, and he blocked him from striking him.
"You… hurt Sakura! You raped her!"
"What? Who is-"
Then, it seemed like… he remembered something.
I touched him in my dream, and I saw memories.
That were… long hidden.
Long… buried.
Memories of a purple haired girl came to mind.
His... sister.
He dropped to his knees, still blocking the blade.
'No. That's… not possible.'
I heard his thoughts as they came to mind.
I saw… his memories.
We were in someone else's… room.
Sakura... had a bruise along her cheek, as I saw Levi… looked at her with pure rage.
"Don't get cocky."
I looked back at Levi, who now had blue hair, and… he looked terrifying.
"After all… you're nothing but my puppet."
What I saw those next few seconds… made me feel like throwing up, even after I had escaped the memory.
Her… violation.
His… retribution.
"I won't forgive you! No matter what body you've stolen!"
Levi... almost gave up.
He took another swing at Levi's head, and, for some reason, he grabbed the blade right before his head.
It was sharp, cutting through most of his hand with minimal effort.
But he didn't move it.
"Yes… I know that… Shirou…"
He muttered under his breath, breathlessly.
"Oi! You aren't even allowed to call me by name!"
"Breath of Love…"
Then, gushes of wind past me and Levi, as two people passed me, and her sword struck his swords.
"First form…"
She swung her sword, making the red headed kid… Shirou… back off.
"Shivers of first love!"
She maintained a smile on her face throughout swinging her blade.
More memories invaded my mind, as my grip on Levi hadn't loosened.
'First love…'
More memories… of a white haired… golden eyes person… came to mind, as my grip hadn't loosened on Levi.
Now, instead of a room, we were on a school campus.
"Even now… your heart beats in my chest."
I… saw that… he had donated his body parts… when on the brink of death.
She… loved him… for giving her his heart.
He… loved her… for making it beat.
He didn't want her… to disappear.
He didn't want… to lose her.
But… he couldn't keep his feelings hidden forever.
As his tears fell from his teenage eyes and heartless body, he said to her,
"I love you."
He embraced her… making empty promises as she, and he, disappeared, silently.
Levi and I looked forward, at the two people, now in front of us.
"Hey! I don't think it's good to make accusations like that, you dunderhead! What if you have the wrong person?"
She was in front of Levi, defending what he had done… without even knowing him.
Without… seeing what I had seen.
"Who even says Dunder… head…"
I looked over at the kid I heard that from.
The spring onion haired person dropped to the floor, as his eyes widened… and his pain and suffering caught up to his soul, and was carved into his face.
I… couldn't understand his pain.
It looked… like he experienced death… without restraint.
Then, he and I looked at the white haired girl in front of me.
More memories came to mind, of Levi writing and drawing… a manga
The daughter he was trying to keep it away from.
His memories of taking her to a beach.
A festival.
A field trip.
He was a father… and like any… he loves his daughter more than anything.
Her name… was...
"Hime."
He was… smiling… as his tears hit the floor, and he tried to stand… with the blade supporting him up.
"Kanade…"
He chuckled, even when he continued to cry.
"Huh?"
At first, the women in front of him… had no idea who he was talking to.
Then, they saw… his teary eyes.
Then, their minds were invaded, and the pink haired girl… fell to the floor.
The brown haired girl looked like her eyes had dullened.
"Fa… ther?"
The white haired girl looked down at Levi, crunching down, srill, on the floor, to which he looked up at her, giving her a small smile, despite the tears.
"Yes… it's me… your dad."
She embraced him, crying into him, as he cried as well.
The red haired kid… continued to be angry.
"Hey! Get away from him!"
She looked back at him in horror.
"No! I won't let you kill my father!"
A magical floating cat came out, and started to defend her as well.
She put an almost protective barrier around him with his arms.
"He's hurt a lot of people!"
"No he hasn't! He's my father! He writes manga! What is harmful about that?!"
"He isn't who you think he is!
The people that previously stood back now joined against the red headed kid.
The green haired guy now looked like he was willing to die to save someone.
The brown haired girl looked like her blood had run cold.
Hanji also joined in, with blades of her own.
I couldn't believe what I had seen and heard over the past few seconds.
"Oi! Everyone, why are you fighting?!"
Emma was the first to yell out.
She ran out… in front of Levi, and stood in front of him, one last person.
"No…"
Levi stood, slightly shaking the white haired girl off of her.
"I'm exactly who he thinks I am. The difference…"
He moved in front of all of them.
"Is that… now… I am strong…"
He had his arms out… like Shinji did.
Unlike him… he was crying… in pain.
He continued to tear up, as he walked forward.
"But… something that… I realized… that Shinji Matou didn't… was that no matter how strong you are…"
He looked at the red headed kid with.. eyes of incredible pain.
They were barely open, as if he were fighting for the last bit of light.
"You will never… get all that you want. You… will never save… everyone..."
I imagined the memories that were his.
Of Kaede.
Of Hime.
Of… Sakura.
"You know that… right Emiya?"
His tears continued to fall as he stumbled to him.
He dropped his blades on the floor, as if he were giving up.
"So… if you really want to kill me… do it…"
He had his arms, still out wide… accepting whatever Shirou wanted.
The red headed kid cut his heart immediately, plunging it deep into his heart.
"Father!"
"Yuzuru!"
They nearly decapitated Shirou, but… they stopped… when they looked at the person he had killed.
Levi… like his past selves… refused to die.
Shirou didn't flinch, as if he expected that.
"But… hell won't accept me… so they will continue to make me live. So… I can't die…"
Levi had his hands at his sides, not lifting them up anymore.
"So… I'm sorry. I'm not pathetic like Shinji, but… I'm not the nice father that was Kakushi, or the helpful person that was Otonashi. I'm just… Levi."
Shirou clicked his tongue, then had his blades disappear.
Not because he felt sympathetic for him, only because he couldn't kill him.
"Fine. Levi, that's your name."
He nodded.
"Yes. Levi… Ackerman."
Shirou put his hand out.
"Truce."
Levi shook his hand, his left… hand.
"Truce."
They went inside… as it had started to rain.
Then, it faded to black.
"My child. You have seen the memories of Levi… haven't you?"
I looked around.
"Huh?! Who are you?!"
"Me? Just… think of me… as the father of all the people on earth."
My eyebrows raised.
"You…"
He sighed.
"Yes. I am considered, by your people… to be God. Even if I am the furthest thing from that."
He… wore everything that a god should.
He had the multiple hands of Ganesh.
He had the robe of Jesus.
The Ten Commandments of Moses.
But… he shrugged all of that off… and stood in front of me… with pain in his eyes.
His true feelings.
He sat down next to me… with his hands on his knees.
"Levi… along with Eren… are interesting cases."
I chuckled.
"Yeah."
He put his arm on his knee, to face the ground.
"They have... nearly the oldest souls in existence… with lives spanning across the multiverse… and yet… they carry that pain… and the weight of their soul… very easily… compared to… even me. There are people who might have lived longer lives… and have lived through… more incarnations... but only they... continue to push forward… even long after their bodies had disappeared."
He looked at me sadly.
"They have lived every conceivable life imaginable. From evil people… to good… to in between… like they are now."
Then, the darkness started to warm up, as the light started to engulf me.
"Every soul… has darkness and light inside of it. Depending on who they are… and how they live… it can increase or decrease, until they land on the life they were meant to take."
He stood up.
"Who will you choose to be… Rahul?"
"I… don't know."
The light felt like it was gently coming onto my back.
"Well…"
He smiled at me… one last time.
"I think I know where you will be."
The light filled the room, softly, as I woke up.
I saw the prison window, and the bars I was trapped behind.
'I… will figure it out…'
I sat on the edge of my bed, looking at my hand.
It was covered with dried blood.
'I'm sorry… kid. Your father wasn't a good person.'
I looked up at the prison window.
'But… I'll try to be one… that your father wasn't. After I avenge them… I'll settle down… and live a life I can be proud of.'
I stood up, as the police guard looked at me… with a slight smile.
I… didn't.
He unchained me from the bars, but I never left it.
Because… until I could live a life to be proud of…
I'd be haunted by the memories in the prison.
And that's the first chapter of Memories. This will explore more of the timeskip between 2018 and 2023, assuming it's popular enough, so, if around 100 people read this… I'll publish more chapters. Anyways… bye.
