Chapter 1
Eren wakes up and finds himself stranded in the paths, he notices that the Founder Ymir is recreating his body. The last thing Eren remembers is that Mikasa beheaded him to stop the Rumbling and the Titans will cease to exist. She freed Ymir, so why is she still here?
"Ymir? What's the meaning of this?" I ask. "Aren't you free?"
Ymir nods at me, and this is the first time I'm hearing her speak. "Yes, it is thanks to you and Mikasa that I'm freed. Before my rebirth, I want to repay you by giving you a new body."
Eren widens his eyes in shock, which means Ymir wants him to continue living. But all he remembers is the screams from innocent people who are trampled by the Rumbling. I ask, "Even if I live, where could I go? Doing the Rumbling is a great sin and I don't think I can live with it..."
"No matter what happened, you must keep moving forward. Isn't this what you want?" Ymir asks him, and he widens his eyes. "It's true you become the devil for my Eldians, and you are doing this because you want your people to live a happy long life. And you also deserve to live a long life as well."
Eren stares at his almost complete body, and I say, "But those people don't want to die... will I be able to get away from this?"
Ymir says nothing and she finishes creating Eren's body. Then she says, "It will be your freedom if you want to show yourself to your friends. And now, you should return to the world without Titans."
"A world without Titans..." Eren says. "Does that mean I will become a normal human? Without the ability to transform into Titans?"
Ymir says, "You won't be changing into Titans, however, before I rebuild your body, I build five other people's bodies, and the six of you will have special powers."
"Special powers? What do you mean by that?" Eren asks.
"You will have to find it out yourself. The other five people will be coming to you once you have your new home ready." Ymir says, and Eren is still confused as ever. Just then, Eren is covered with a bright light, as he can't see anything as he sees Ymir disappearing along with the paths.
In the Reiss Farm, Historia is staying with her newborn daughter while her husband is away, she suddenly hears a loud sound, and with help from the soldiers, they get outside and find that Eren Yeager is lying on the ground.
"Eren?!" Historia quickly brings the baby to the nun and rushes to him. Eren groans a little and slowly wakes up. When he sees Historia, he is surprised. "Historia..."
"Eren? What are you doing here? I thought you were leaving the island with the Rumbling..." Historia asks.
Eren notices that he is in the Reiss Farm, and he sighs, "Where are Mikasa and the others?"
"They haven't returned to the island just yet. You still haven't answered my question." Historia says.
Eren decides to explain everything and how Mikasa beheaded him to save the remaining humanity. Historia can only listen with shock, horror, agony, and relief after hearing what happened.
"And for some reason, the Founder Ymir decides to let me continue to live, but all this time, I don't think I deserve it..." Eren says with tears in his eyes.
"Eren..." Historia gives him a sisterly hug, she says, "I won't say that what you've done is completely wrong, I volunteer to go along with your plan. We are the enemies of humanity."
"Yeah..." Eren decides to stay silent before asking, "Are the Yeagerists still active even now?"
"The remaining Yeagerists still manage to reform the military, they have been very cooperative while rebuilding the Paradis Island." Historia says. "So what are you going to do about them?"
Eren nods, "Right now all of the Military were killed after turning into Titans, the Yeagerists are the only faction that is still standing. I will try to ask the Military to listen to your commands, and after that, I think I need to retire from the whole military thing..."
Historia nods and says, "I understand. You've already done enough. It's time for you to rest, if you really need help, just so you know that we will be there for you."
Eren thinks for a while and says, "And by the way, I also want you to keep the news of me still alive a secret. I'm trusting Armin and the others to negotiate with the other nations for peace now that the Rumbling already reduce a lot of the hatred. If they learn about me being alive, then the island will doom."
"Of course." Historia says.
After that, Historia manages to bring Eren to the government, he informs the military that the Rumbling is already done and the news of his retiring from the whole military. It's a good thing that all of the Yeagerists are understanding, and they all listen to Historia. And just before Eren leaves, all of them give him the last salute, and he can't help but shed a tear.
"So where are you going to live?" Historia asks after the talking is done.
"I think I'll live in the forest near Shiganshina. I want to leave the crowd's sight, but I also want to stay close to my home." Eren says.
Once he bids farewell to Historia, he gets to the forest and builds his own house there. But he is also surprised to find that he has some secret powers. He is able to manipulate fire and talk to animals, not only that, but he also regains the ability to heal any wound as fast as he can.
He then remembers the conversation with Founder Ymir while his body is still healing. There are 5 other people who have powers inside them just him, and for some days, they will show up in front of his house and live with him.
After a week of staying, he hears a doorbell and opens the door, he is surprised to see a girl the same age as him at the doorway. She asks, "Excuse me... Are you perhaps Eren Yeager? The devil who rumbles the earth with the Colossal Titans?"
"That devil is already gone, leaving a man with a broken heart. May I ask who are you and what brings you here?" Eren asks.
The girl says, "My name is Aya Neumann. Ever since four years ago when you and the Survey Corps eliminate all the Titans on the island, you have been our heroes. I joined the Survey Corps at first, but then I joined your own faction of soldiers because I want to learn more about you. But I never got the chance because I was killed by the Cart Titan."
Eren blinks and says, "I see... please come in."
After she sits near the table, Eren asks, "If you were killed, how are you still alive right now?"
Aya says, "That's a strange thing, after my death, I found myself in some sort of desert and a girl was building my body. She told me that you were killed and the Rumbling ended with 20% of the population outside the island surviving. She saved me first and told me that she would revive you last, and she wanted me to find you after I got revived."
"I see... that means you also have powers as well?" Eren asks.
"I don't know why, but I was able to manipulate the earth and water." Aya says while taking out a glass, and just with a touch, the glass is filled with water. "When I heard that you were leaving the military, I have been searching the whole island for you. And I want to stay by your side."
This causes Eren to freeze, and he says, "Why do you want to stay by my side? I don't think I deserve to be loved after what I've done..."
"But you are feeling guilty, and you didn't want to do the Rumbling as well. We Yeagerists also share the same sins as you. You have been trying to protect us all the time, and that's why you deserved to be loved." Aya says.
"Do you really think so?" Eren asks her with a surprised tone.
"Of course. You also tried to make Armin and the others heroes as well." Aya says, "If you need some time to think about this, I'll leave you to it."
Before she can leave, Eren asks, "Wait, do you have a place to live? I mean, if you don't mind, I still have a room for you to stay in."
"Really? I don't want to be your burden after all. I was trying to build a house made of earth. I told you that I can manipulate earth after all." Aya says.
"It's fine." Eren says. "I think I really need some company..."
Aya smiles, Eren has been her idol, and she has never thought that her idol will want her to stay with him in this isolated house. And ever since that day, Eren and Aya decide to open up to each other and talk a lot about their lives. Eventually, the two of them eventually fall in love with each other and they decide to become husband and wife. Since they are still thought dead, the only ones who attended their wedding are Queen Historia and some of the Yeagerist soldiers who promise to keep a secret.
And after their marriage, they also meet four more people who come to live with them. They also have superpowers like them and they decide to work together despite they are seemingly isolated. The first one is Katrina Sturm, she is capable of manipulating the weather and bending steel and hard materials of her own free will. She used to be a resident of Trost District until she was devoured by a Titan after Wall Rose is breached.
The second one is Peter Fischer, he is capable of wielding all kinds of weapons with ease, and he's able to make himself invisible. He was a Marley Eldian until he's turned into a Titan by Marley. He was also killed during the battle of retaking Wall Maria until Founder Ymir revived him. And after living with Eren and Aya, he and Katrina also married each other.
The third one is Gloria Tybur, she is capable of growing flowers and grass with a touch, and also flies into the air of her own free will. She is from the Tybur Family, but she always hated her other family members because how they never did anything to help Eldians. She was killed by Eren when the attack happened, but she didn't blame Eren for it and instead wants to help him.
Gloria's husband is Odom Wolff, he is capable of minimizing and also controlling electricity powers. He died of a disease a few months ago and Founder Ymir also revived him to help Eren.
Since they want to isolate themselves from the people, they decide to create small walls of their own and live inside in peace. They have their own farm and small training ground for their own powers, and they also have three houses, each for a family.
Eren stares at the walls that they made, and for some reason, he doesn't seem to hate the walls anymore.
This is the first chapter of the post-rumbling with Eren and OC pairing. I also decide to give my OCs and Eren superpowers because why not? This story is written after the whole manga, and I really want Eren to live a long life. I hope you like this chapter.
