PROLOGUE
Joke. Joke, joke, joke away. Joke all my troubles away because what else can I do? I'm a prisoner in a foreign land.
They will never let me go. I tried to save them, tried to make them see. They took my family away. They took my freedom away. But I'm still here, and I laugh in their faces. They don't see me in the shadows, but they will hear me laugh. They will see themselves, and everything they have done. And it'll all be a joke. A giant, world-changing joke. Centuries will pass and they will laugh at themselves, the punchline. I only need to tell it. I only need to break every rule imaginable and survive. I only need to do the impossible. I've done the impossible before.
They will see.
