Hey there! I'm rewriting this story. This is the first redone chapter out of the original five. I also have new chapters that will get put somewhere between the existing chapters. I hope you all will be patient with me while I try to make this story a little better and all around more enjoyable. Much love.
I don't own anything from SoA. Just my lovely OCs
Teller - Morrow Automotive was less than busy, and most of the guys sat around enjoying the lazy day. Dog had finished the steering column on a torn-up Lincoln, and Lowell breezed through his project of a tire rotation and alignment earlier that afternoon. Scattered around the shop, the Sons wished for a breeze to sweep through the open garage doors. Today was one of those rare days that the guys all relished in the silence and relaxed in the heat of the day.
The sounds of a motorcycle pricked at their ears, and a couple of the Sons sat up, more alert. Tig and Jax stalked toward the bay doors and Clay leaned against the office doorway watching intently.
Tig took a swig of his beer and chuckled ruefully. "It's a customer!" The thought of someone showing up to cause havoc had most of the guys at the ready, and they now breathed a little easier. Tig turned back and plopped down on the couch next to Juice; bored with the lack of action.
Chibs and Half-Sack now wandered up by the bay doors with Jax to see the incoming visitor. The newcomer rode slowly up the drive and ended up coasting the last several yards up to the front of the bay as the bike sputtered and died. The bike was a T-Sport Dyna, and from what they could see it was cherry. It was a beautiful bike, but the woman that rode it is what caught their attention. It seemed the guys rarely met women who were interested in riding, and a classic ride at that.
She was wearing tight blue jeans and black leather boots that zipped nearly to her knees. The black leather Jacket she wore had no patches and was zipped to her sternum, showing just a sliver of her chest. She sat back on the bike and undid the strap on her full-face helmet, taking it and her sunglasses off. Short black hair fell across her forehead and curled around her ears, and pale green eyes rimmed with dark lashes are what met the Sons staring at her. Thick metal spiral earrings hung from her ears, and a small black ring encircled one nostril. She let her hand holding her helmet and sunglasses rest on her thigh, words in white were visible on the back of her black helmet; póg mo thóin.
"And, uh... How can we be of service to you today?" Jax asked, his blue eyes still watching her closely, his hands in the pockets of his jeans, thumbs hooked on his belt loops.
The woman slid her sunglasses onto the top of her head and looked back at him with interest. "Well, as I'm sure you can see, my bike needs to be looked at. I was hoping y'all could check it out for me." She smiled handsomely, her white teeth gleaming. "I just recently moved here and I just haven't had the chance to look at it myself."
"Sure thing!" He smiled, "I'm Jax, by the way." He stuck his hand out to her. She reached up with her gloved hand and shook his. Some of the other guys started to crowd around now, watching the attractive woman.
"Scarlet Rose." She smiled, "My parents thought they were being poetic." She rolled her eyes and chuckled good-naturedly, "You can just call me Sunny."
"Well hello, Sunny!" Tig made his way to the front pushing past Bobby and Half-Sack. "You can call me Tig." He took her hand and kissed her gloved knuckles.
"Pleasure." She laughed lightly again.
"That's a nice ride you got yourself there, Darlin'." Clay walked over to the group, arms crossed over his chest.
"Just the left side, unfortunately." She smirked. Standing up, she kicked the kickstand out, "Layed her down a few years ago, and the right side ain't so pretty anymore." She gestured towards the right side of her ride. The way she was positioned the crew had to shuffle over to see it.
Chibs was the first to get a good look at the right side of the bike, and he whistled low. "How'd ya manage that?" He asked in his thick Scottish brogue, brushing his fingers over the dented and scraped metal of the gas tank, he push his hair back with his sunglasses to get a better look. The footpeg and handlebar also showed some damage.
She watched him for a moment, taking in his rugged but handsome features. A handful of these guys were attractive, Jax with his boyish good looks, Tig with his ice blue eyes and dark curly hair, but this one with his deep rumbling voice and accent that reminded her of home; She averted her eyes quickly, addressing the group as a whole, "Some drunk asshole ran a red light. I didn't manage to miss him unfortunately, he clipped my back tire and forced me over. I ended up laying the old girl down, got about 150 feet before I slid right up the ass of the truck in front of me. I had to fix most of the damage to be able to ride her again, but I kept some as a reminder not to be so careless."
"And you walked away without a scratch?" Bobby asked scratching idly at his beard, looking on in wonderment.
"Hardly." She gave a short humorless laugh as she lifted her jacket and her shirt to reveal the gnarled flesh of her side. The scars twisted up and above where she held her jacket, and down below her waistband.
Chibs whistled again. "Damn," The guys fell silent for several moments.
"You're still totally hot, though!" Juice chimed in from the back of the group.
Chibs' hand struck out at the back of the kid's head with incredible speed, "Don' be disrespectful." he chided him in a low voice, his brow furrowed.
Juice was still rubbing the spot on the back of his head when a dark green Dodge Dakota pulled in and parked off to the side. This didn't escape Clay's attention, and he watched it from where he stood, noticing the driver didn't get out.
Sunny looked around after a moment, "Oh, that's me." She gestured towards the truck. "Who do I need to talk to to get settled?" Her eyes scanned the guys but rested on Jax, and then Clay behind him.
"Why don't you just leave your number with me, Sweetheart, and I'll give you a call," Tig asked, smiling devilishly.
"Sure..." She smiled at him politely. "But seriously..." her eyes fell back to Jax and Clay, both exuding leadership energy.
"Quit drooling boys! She's not a piece of meat." Gemma was standing in the office doorway, her dark hair in waves around her face, clicking her short nails on the door frame. "Come on, Doll. I'll get you settled."
Sunny swung her leg over the bike and rested her helmet over the tail light.
"Now I can't give you any estimates until we figure out what needs to be done. But I promise you, our boys are good at what they do. By the book, and most of them aren't half as dumb as they look." she pursed her lips but quirked an eyebrow and smirked to show she was joking.
"That's fine," Sunny chuckled, "You've got my number." Sunny stuck her hand out to Gemma.
Gemma took it into hers and shook. "We'll give you a call when she's ready."
Sunny stepped out of the office and back into the garage, scanning the room, she smiled big. "See you boys later, then." She half waved.
Jax made his way toward her, taking a drag on his cigarette and ashing as he walked. "Hey, we're having a party here tonight." He gestured up towards the clubhouse she had passed on her way up the drive, "Swing by if you want, it should be a good time."
"Sure." She nodded, "Mind if I bring my girl?" Sunny nodded towards her ride still sitting in the lot, tapping the steering wheel to a song they couldn't hear, not paying any attention to the group in the shop.
"You're a lezzer?" Tig asked, taken aback.
Sunny briefly rolled her eyes, "Nah... But I like a little bit of every flavor." She winked at him and put her sunglasses back on. "See you boys tonight, then." She amended. With that, she walked to the bike and grabbed her helmet off the tail light, then veered over to the truck, a barely perceivable limp in her gait, and pulled herself into the passenger seat.
The driver leaned over and kissed Sunny quickly, but as she made to pull back, Sunny grasped at the front of her shirt and pulled her back for another, deeper kiss.
I will be restructuring this whole story. In general fixing and adding to the first five chapters, while also adding a couple of chapters here and there in between to fix holes that I had inadvertently left. Also, idk what the hell I was doing, but this first chapter I had Sunny as a total pick-me girl, and I knew I just HAD to redo it. It's 2023, and we are showing respect for other women in this house.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this. Thanks for reading.
Cheers.
