Battle Castle - Prologue
It has been two weeks since Ash Ketchum lost in the Kalos finals. We see he and his best buddy and starter Pikachu wake up early in the morning as he has the last two weeks, changing into shorts, a t-shirt, socks, and running shoes, he leaves the house to take a jog around his hometown. In the southwestern part of Kanto, there is a little town called Pallet Town, where the main attraction is Professor Oaks Lab, Lead Pokémon Professor, rechecking the bond between Pokémon and humans.
Professor Samuel Oak is also the sponsor of young Ash, giving him his starter at the age of ten. Two hours after Ash left his house, he jogs up the stairs to the professor's lab, politely knocking on the door, ash is let in by one of the professor's Aids, and one of Ash's old traveling companions, for when he traveled through the Orange Islands, Tracy Scetchet.
"Good morning Ash, your Pokémon are in the back, where they usually are, oh and Professor Oak has a list of offers around the world, who has a Pokémon that they would like to trade for one of your Tauros, some that you know. I would look at them before you start your training." Tracy said.
"Ok, thank you, I will," Ash says.
Ash walks to the desk that the Professor has deemed as his, on it is a computer. Ash sits down and logs into the computer, and sees the trainers, professors, and other leading people all around the world. Looking through them he decides on the 29 Pokémon that he will trade his other Tauros for. Ash had already talked with them before this, as they were restless, and as I only battle with the lead Tauros, that said that it was alright to trade the rest. He decides to contact them one at a time, starting with the ones he knows. Luckily the good professor had made the computer a video phone and a transporter as well, as when the professor was gone, then Ash was the one who transferred the Pokémon to the sponsored trainers. Collecting all 29 of the Tauros, he go back to the computer.
ASH'S POV
Dialing the first number, an older Gruff man in a sailor's hat and jacket, this is one of the Hoenn Elite 4 Members Dragon Master Drake, answers the phone, "Ah Ash, good to see you again."
"Yes Drake, it is good to see you again, I am Calling as you wanted to trade a Bagon for one of my Tauros, is this correct," I ask, as I know that Bagon's are pseudo legendary, and so are really rare, I am surprised at how many rare Pokémon that are being offered.
"Yes, my Salamence came back with an egg last month and as I already have two, I do not need another, so I was looking for someone trustworthy, when I saw the posts saying that you were trading 29 Tauros, I had no clue that you had more than 1." Drake said.
"Yeah, I accidentally caught a herd of 30 Tauros in the Kanto Safari Zone, I talked with them, saying that I only used the leader, if they were restless, as I could not train all of them, they were, so I asked if I could trade them to trustable people, I know that you are a Dragon Master, can I ask why you need a Tauros?" I asked.
"I need one for my sister's farm, they need a working Pokémon. As they cannot go out and catch one, as none of them are trainers, and I am too busy to go out and catch, and train one. That I know that yours are used to people, it is perfect." he said.
"Sure, are you at a trading computer?" I ask.
"Yes, give me a little bit, and I will trade it over."
"Ok, I have a Tauros on the port, let me know when you are ready," I say.
Just then a grey and blue head popped up "Ba ba gon gon." the now-known Bagon says, I smile at it, "Hey there Bagon, how are you?" I ask, and the Bagon talks, and even though I cannot understand them, I know that they are good.
"This is the trainer that will be your new trainer Bagon," Drake said to the Bagon.
I smile when the Bagon looked excited and happy. Waving its arms around. At least they want to train.
Recalling the Pokémon Drake says "Ok, so we are ready."
We both press the button and the Pokémon trade. Drake getting one of the Tauros, and me getting the Bagon.
"Ok, so Bagon has been transferred safely, I will take care of and train them to the best of my ability, and when they are strong, I will come to visit you and their parents." I smile at him.
"I think that His parents would like that, just call me when he is ready," Drake said, before ending the call.
I smile at Pikachu and decide to call the next number, a young man with silver hair in a black and purple suit, answers.
"Ah Ash, it is good to see you again, I see that you are calling about my reply to trade for one of your Tauros, I have been doing a lot more mining lately, and I need a strong work Pokémon to help me if you do not mind, I found this Pokémon at my last mine, and they wanted to go to a strong trainer, and battle my Metagross, sorry I am doing this fast, I am really busy," he said before putting a poke ball at the transporter.
"I know that you are busy, you are a champion after all, so I have put a Tauros on the transporter, and I am ready for the trade," I say, the transport happens.
"Thank you, again I am sorry, but I need to get going now, I will talk to you later," he said before disconnecting.
"Well, I know Steven can be really busy, even though there are two champions there. There is a lot to do." I sweat dropped.
"Let's see, let's contact professor Birch next," I say as I dial his number.
"Hello, Professor Birch Speaking, how may I help you?" Was answered.
"Hey, professor, it is ash, you wanted to make a trade for two of my Tauros," I answer him.
"Ah, Ash, yes, I need some strong Pokémon that can help me in the field, when I saw that you had some Tauros that you were trading I thought that they can also help me with supplies as well, if you have one that would like to be a protector and another one that would be fine with transport, that would be swell, for trade I have two extra starters, a Mudkip, and a Torchic, that I would trade for them." the professor stated.
I smile, remembering all the other starters that I have, All Kanto, Johto, Unova Starters, Sceptile, Infernape, Torterra, and Greninja. "I would love to train Mudkip and Torchic, I have loaded the Poke-balls into the transporter, so I am ready on this end."
With that, I received both Mudkip and Torchic, "Well I have more research to do, I will speak to you later." Professor Birch said, then disconnects the call.
Now knowing that the professors have been speaking to each other, I decided to call both Professor Rowen and Professor Sycamore, getting a Piplup, Chespin, and Fennekin. "I guess that I can contact the last two that I know before I call the three that I do not know. I think that I will call Drayden first."
I dial his number, and an older man with all white hair, and a beard that looks like a dragon's bottom jaw. "Ah, Ash, I see that you have decided to accept my request, though I am guessing you are wondering why I as a Dragon master want a non-dragon Pokémon. I would like a Pokémon that would help around in the Dragon Village, as it is self-sustaining, to help in the fields, and while Bouffalant could work, a Tauros would work better, especially one that is used to people," he said.
I not as that made sense, as Bouffalant are not as good for farming. So I put one of my more peaceful Tauros in the transporter, to receive the Pokémon that Drayden is sending, after the trade, he hangs up.
"Now it is time to call Uncle Samson," I say, dialing the number in Alola,
"Ah, Ash, good to see you again," he said.
"Hi, Uncle Samson, how are you, and can I ask why you want two Tauros?" I ask.
"I am well, and, as you know, there are some Pokémon that evolve differently such as Vulpix is an Ice type, instead of a Fire-type. Well, I want to see if there is a difference between Pokémon that did not physically change, like Tauros, as we have wild Tauros in Alola, I would like to see if there are any differences in them. I have two Pokémon that you have never seen before, one of them is a starter here in Alola, and the other one is the Pseudo Legendary here." he said.
"It will be interesting to train Pokémon I have never seen before, I have loaded the two poke balls, the two calmest Tauros that I have, they should help you, as well as the students at your school," I tell him, and so the trading happens, and I pick up the two poke balls.
"Well, Ash I will see you later, it was great speaking with you again, tell your mother and my brother I said Alola for me," he said before disconnecting the call.
"Well he is energetic as always, now let's, there are three more people to call, there is one from the Island of Armor in Galar, one just outside of Wedgehurst in Galar, and the last one is in Poko Path in Paldea? Two regions I have never heard of, there might be Pokémon that I have never seen before, let's call the one from just outside of Wedgehurst in Galar." I say to Pikachu, and he nods.
After ringing a couple of times, an older woman, with Auburn hair, and triangle glasses answers the line, "Hello, who is this." I hear a Galarian Accent (British English)
"Hello, My name is Ash Ketchum, I am calling for Professor Magnolia, about trading for 4 of my Tauros," I say speaking in Unovian (American English)
"Ah I was talking to Professor Oak, a couple of days ago, saying that I needed some help, as I am not getting any younger, and he said that you had some friendly Tauros, that you were seeing to trade, as the Tauros here are a lot more aggressive, then anywhere else, I also talked to see what Pokémon that you might like in exchange, I have a set of extra starters, as well as the Pseudo Legendary of Galar, if you would."
"I would be happy to, I understand that research takes a lot out of you, I have four Tauros that would gladly help you, they have helped Professor Oak in the past when he went out into the field. They would help you." I say, loading up the four poke balls, after the trade, Professor Magnolia asks some more questions about where I have been, as well as if I have heard of the Dynamaxing phenomenon, as I have not, we spend the next hour talking about it with her, after which, we say our Farewells, and disconnect the call.
"Well, that was certainly interesting, I would love to be able to use Dynamaxing or Gigantamaxing, they sound interesting, right Pikachu?" I ask my companion.
"Pika," Pikachu says nodding.
"Ok, as we are still in Galar, let's call the number in the Island of Armor," I say dialing when a young woman answers.
"Hello, you have reached the Master Dojo, on the Island of Armor, in Galar, I am Honey, how may I help you?" she Asks.
"Hello, I am Ash Ketchum, from Pallet Town, Kanto, I am answering the request from a Mister Mustard, about a trade for two of my Tauros," I reply.
"One moment, I will see if he is available to talk," she says, before putting me on hold, before long she is back with an older man with long white eyebrows, a small beard, with a black and green hat.
"Ah, so you are Ash, glad to finally meet you, I have heard nothing but good things about you, we are looking for some strong Pokémon, that would be good sparing partners for my students, and as there are not any Tauros on the Island, and the Tauros in Galar are untamable, it would be good to train with the strong Pokémon in case they get attacked in travels, however, I would like to ask a few questions to you if you do not mind, as the Pokémon I have, are special," he states. I nod consenting. "Ok, what are Pokémon to you?"
I Smile at Pikachu on my shoulder "They are Family, and friends, those that you help just as much as they help you.." I say, he nods.
"Have you Trained a Fighting Type before?" He asks
"Yes, I have, a Primate, a Heracross, an Infernape, a Pignite, and a Hawlucha," I reply.
"Last Question, would you ever force a Pokémon to evolve if they did not want to?" he asks.
I looked on in horror, "No never, I have had Pikachu since the beginning, and I have never and will never force him to evolve, if he does, it will be completely his choice, I have a thunder stone if he wanted to. I was gifted it by Lt. Serge when I first battled him." I reply.
He smiles and places two poke balls on the transporters, I also smile and place two of the remaining Tauros on the transporter. After the trading is complete, we disconnect the call.
"Well that was interesting, now the last call, as she wanted 12, and I only have 12 left to trade, let's call this Professor Sada from Paldea," I say, dialing the last number.
Answering the call a young woman, with brown hair, and grey eyes, "Ah, I was wondering when you would call, I am professor Sada, one of the regional professors in Paldea, It is wonderful to meet you, my brother Drake speaks fondly of you, I Will get down to it, In Paldea, we do have Tauros, however, they are different to any other Tauros, as we have three different types, there are the Combat Breed, that is pure Fighting Type, there is Blaze Breed that is Fighting/Fire, and there is Aqua Breed, a Fighting/Water type." as she is saying this, she is bringing up a photo if each of them, all of them have a black coat, the combat breed has shorter horns, the Blaze Breed has longer horns, and red in the upper part of the mane, and the Aqua Breed has more of bubbly horns, with blue in the lower part of the Mane. "And so there are no Normal type Tauros, in all of Paldea, I would like to introduce them into Paldea, so I have a few other Pokémon including these three different Tauros, the Starters, the Pseudo Legendary of the region and 5 others, and the items in case they want to evolve, I have also spoken with Mustard before, and I have the item that they need to evolve if they want to, as well, I will also send you what we call the Rotom Phone, it is a phone, that has the Pokémon Rotom, possessing it, it will also have all Pokémon up to and including Paldea in the Pokédex App, that I created."
I am shocked that she is willing to do so much for me, I smile, and nod consenting to it, and I load my Pokédex into the machine, and a Smartphone pops out, and the trading happens the last of the herd is traded, "It has been updated with all the information from you old Pokédex , and this is good so you can get information with all your new Pokémon, and a box should be arriving now via teleport." as she said that a Box appears beside me.
"Thank you for everything I hope to see you when I go to Paldea," I say.
"I hope to see you as well," she says, before disconnecting.
I open up the box, I see a firestone, two pieces of Armor, A red one and a Navy Blue one, A link Box, two Scrolls, and 2 Pokéballs. I decide to go out back, to introduce myself to all my new Pokémon, so I log out of the computer, put it in sleep mode, and go out back, I find Bulbasaur, and ask him to round everyone up, to introduce all the Pokémon to each other, he launches an instant Solar Beam, and All of my other Pokémon arrive, from Kanto, there is Bulbasaur, Charizard, Kingler, Muk, Snorlax, and my Lead Tauros, From Johto, I have Bayleef, Donphan, Heracross, Noctowl (Shiny), Quilava, and Totodile, from Hoenn there is Sceptile, Corphish, Glalie, Swellow, and Torkoal, From Sinnoh, there is Buizel, Gible, Gliscor, Infernape, Lucario (Shiny), Staraptor, and Torterra, From Unova, there are Boldore, Krookodile, Leavanny, Oshawott, Palpitoad, Pignite, Scraggy, Snivy and Unfezant, and from Kalos, there are Greninja, Goodra, Hawlucha, Noivern, and Talonflame.
"Hello, Everyone, I have just gotten back from trading all of the other Tauros, I made sure that they are going to good homes. It is now time to see all of our new Family. Come on out Everyone." I say Throwing out all the poke balls, and 32 new faces pop out.
