Chapter 1: Years That go By
The city of Metroville, had become a more safer place, now that Supers were legal again. Bob and Helen Parr and Lucius Best could be Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and Frozone again. And sometimes Bob and Helen let Violet and Dash tag along with them to fight crime.
As a couple years went by, things changed. Violet and Tony continued to date through the rest of middle school, and into high school; Dash went into middle school; Jack-Jack grew from baby to toddler.
When Violet turned 16, she figured it was finally time to tell Tony about her powers. She discussed it with her parents, and after they discussed it, Bob and Helen decided Violet could tell Tony.
So one evening, while on a date, they went for a walk in the park.
"So Tony, there's something I need to tell you." she told him.
"What? Is something wrong?" Tony asked.
"No no, nothing wrong. I just needed to tell something about me."
"What is it?"
"I'm...kinda special."
"(Chuckles), well I already knew that." Violet smiled at his compliment.
"It's a little more than that."
She looked around, and made sure nobody was looking. Then she turned invisible. Tony couldn't believe it. And then she re-appeared.
"What the...how'd you do that?"
"I...have powers." Tony was stunned.
"You have superpowers?"
"Yep." she answered.
"Whoa, so you can turn invisible?"
"Yeah, I can also do this."
She demonstrated her force field powers.
"Wow. That's so..."
Violet nervously waited for his response.
"Cool."
Violet was surprised by his answer.
"Really?"
Tony turned out to be very understanding, and understood when she told him that he couldn't tell anyone about her powers.
"Don't worry, Vi. Your secret's safe with me." Tony assured.
"Thanks Tony. You're the best." Violet replied.
The two then hugged, and kissed.
More years continued to pass by, Tony and Violet grew closer. They had ups and downs like usual couples, but they were able to work through them. Then when Violet and Tony were both 18, they graduated from high school.
Everyone was there for Violet. Her parents, a 14-year-old Dash, a 4-year-old Jack Jack, Lucius, and his wife, Honey.
"Violet Parr."
When Violet got her diploma from the principal, everyone cheered and clapped for her. She smiled as she saw her family's proud faces. After the ceremony, they all had dinner at the Happy Platter, and it was on Tony's parents.
"I can't believe we've officially graduated." Violet said.
"We're so proud of you, Vi." Helen told her daughter.
"Good job, sweetheart." Bob added.
Even Dash congratulated her.
"Congrats, sis. But I'll be valedictorian." Dash bragged.
Violet smiled at her brother's antics, and then saw Jack Jack run up to her. "Good job, Vi." he said, hugging her leg.
"Thank you, Jack Jack."
After some celebrating with their families, Tony and Violet went off to have a moment to themselves.
"I can't believe we're now officially high school graduates." she told him.
"Neither can I. It's a whole new beginning." Tony replied, putting his arm around her.
Violet felt very happy being in Tony's embrace.
The two ended up going to different colleges, but they still kept in touch. And while Violet was on her own, she decided to become her own superhero. She asked Edna Mode to design a new super suit for her, and she was all to delighted to do so.
Her new super suit was black with pink gloves and boots, and a matching pink mask. And she became known as "Vanish". By day she took college classes, but by night she fought crime. Bob and Helen were very proud, and Tony was impressed.
After two years Violet graduated with an associate's degree, and managed to get a job at a bank. Tony graduated, and became the assistant manager of the Happy Platter. And then Tony proposed to Violet, and of course she said yes.
Their wedding wasn't extravagant, but it was special, magical, and memorable. After getting married to two settled in an apartment that their parents had helped them get. Life was great for the new couple.
Then about six months later, they got a surprise. Violet was pregnant. At first it was a shock, but the two looked forward to becoming parents. And of course their families were thrilled, and offered their help and support.
Violet took a break from being Vanish, and took care of herself and her unborn baby. Dash who was now 16, decided to create his own super hero identity. It took a lot of persuasion to his parents, but after promising to keep up with his school work and make sure he got enough sleep he got permission.
He became knows as "Speed". His costume was orange with red boots and gloves, and his mark was yellow. He was able to take his sister's place while
Nine months passed, and Violet's belly grew bigger and bigger. She and Tony were ready for their new arrival. They had a nursery set up, and they'd gotten many gifts from their families and friends.
"Any ideas for names?" asked Tony one day.
"I'm not sure yet. But I'm sure we'll know the right name when we see him or her." Violet replied.
Then she looked at the clock.
"I better get going. I told Mom I'd come by for some tea."
"Be careful driving."
Violet assured him she would, and left.
At her parents' house, Violet happily sipped tea with Helen.
"I still can't believe my little girl is going to be a mom." Helen said.
"Neither can I." Violet replied, putting her hand on her large belly.
Just then Bob came into the room.
"Hello, ladies." he greeted.
"Hi, Dad." Violet greeted.
"How're you feeling, sweetheart?"
"I'm feeling pretty good."
They all talked for a while, and then Violet had to head home. But as she was getting ready to leave, she suddenly felt something. She looked down on the ground, and saw a small puddle.
"Uh oh." she whispered.
She quickly went back into the house.
"Vi, is something wrong?" asked Helen.
"Mom, Dad...I think I'm having the baby now."
The two looked shocked.
"Don't worry, Violet. We'll take you to the hospital." assured Bob.
"And I'll call Tony. I better tell Dash to pick up Jack Jack from school." Helen added.
Bob and Helen made the calls, and drove Violet to the hospital. In the hospital Violet checked in, and a nurse had gotten her a wheelchair.
"I can't believe this is really happening." she said, with her hands on her belly.
"Don't worry, Vi. Tony will be here soon." Helen comforted.
Just like that, Tony burst through the door.
"Violet, are you okay?" he wanted to know.
"So far so good." Violet replied.
A nurse then came, and instructed the couple to follow her. After getting a kiss from her parents, Tony wheeled Violet away. A couple minutes later, Dash came in with a 6-year-old Jack Jack.
"Mom, Dad, did Vi have the baby yet?" Dash asked.
"No not yet, they just took her up." Bob explained.
"Am I gonna be an uncle soon?" Jack Jack wondered.
"Yes you are, Jack Jack." Helen told him.
It took a couple hours, but eventually Violet gave birth to a healthy baby girl. The nurse had just brought the baby back from getting cleaned and checked, and gave her to Violet.
"She's so beautiful." observed Tony.
"It was a lot of hard work, but having her here in my arms was worth it." Violet told him.
The two then shared a kiss, and looked at their baby girl. After a little bit the rest of the family came in. Tony's parents, and Bob and Helen were delighted to be grandparents. Dash and Jack Jack were happy to have a little niece.
When her eyes opened it was revealed that she had Violet's blue-ish purple eyes.
"So what's her name?" Jack Jack wanted to know.
The couple looked at each other and then their baby.
"Her name's...Beatrix." declared Violet.
"Beatrix Rydinger. I like it." Tony said.
