Merry Christmas! Thanks for reviewing!
Lisssa grabbed Marrie and led her to the couch, pushing her onto it. Christian sighed before sitting on the coffee table across from her while Adrian and Lissa stood next to him.
"Where are we?" Marrie asked, her brows furrowed in thought. Lissa shifted.
"Missoula. We're at a local hotel that's holding St. Vladimir's for the weekend because somehow the school flooded." Adrian answered.
"You're still at school?" Marrie asked. Lissa sighed, what was wrong with her friend? Rose- Marrie should have caught on by now, but she wasn't.
"We work there, Rose. Alberta found a couple new Moroi students who have Spirit as their element, so Adrian and Lissa teach there." Christian stated slowly. Marrie nodded her head before saying her name was Marrie.
"Yeah, we get it! Just tell us how you became a whore and had a fucking kid!" Adrian snapped. Lissa didn't have the heart to stand up for her old friend; it was strange, seeing this cowering woman. Literally, Ro- Marrie was shaking in fear and her eyes were wide. Lissa wanted to do something but she held herself back. They needed to be harsh for Marrie to answer their questions.
"Um, okay," Marrie muttered before clearing her throat. "After I left school I went to . . . Milaca and bought a house. I just didn't want to be a Guardian anymore."
"Wait! I thought you were going to hunt down Dimitri when he was Strigoi?" Lissa put her hands up. Her mind was reeling, R- Marrie had been only a couple cities away from her the whole time yet she hadn't known. She felt pathetic, she should have searched harder.
"It was a lie. I didn't want you telling somebody, like my mom, and them come and get me," Marrie shrugged before continuing. "So, I got a house and met this guy, Daniel Brox. He was Moroi and we hooked up. A couple months later I had Bonnie."
"Where's Daniel?" Christian asked. Marrie's face contorted in pain, of course it was fake. Only she knew that though. There was no Daniel, just some name she had thought of to make sure no one thought anything of Bonnie's real heritage.
"There was a Strigoi attack where he worked, like with Mia's mom? He was one of the people to be . . . taken for a snack. They found his body." She muttered.
"Oh, Rose!" Lissa launched herself at her. Marrie couldn't tell Lissa to call her Marrie because just at that moment her mom walked into the room. She took one look at the two girls before frowning.
"I see you've found out about Rose." Janine stated.
"It's Marrie!" Marrie snapped.
"We know!" Adrian bellowed before charging out of the room.
"Let him cool down." Lissa whispered. Marrie nodded before looking at Janine, who wouldn't even look at her.
"Princess, the Queen wants to speak to you." Janine stated. Lissa hesitated.
"It's okay. I'll stay here." Marrie muttered. Lissa nodded before leaving with Christian on her heels. Once they were gone, Marrie leaned back in the couch. She hated lying to Lissa but it was necessary. She couldn't tell them,
"Yeah, so after I left I travelled to Russia, hunted down a couple Strigoi, met a Alchemist, got ambushed, met Dimitri's family, left, hunted, ambushed again, had sex with a Strigoi, staked said Strigoi's leader, ran way, nine months later had a Hybrid who turns out can't be hurt unless with silver. Any questions?"
And that was just the top of it.
Dimitri finally cooled down enough to go back to the room, only to see Rose sitting on the couch. He wanted to turn around and leave but she had already seen him. She smiled but it didn't reach her eyes.
"Hey, comrade." She whispered. He nodded before walking over and sitting next to her. She turned her head to look at him.
"Rose," she cut him off.
"Marrie. My legal name is Marrie Brox." She stated. He looked at her before shrugging.
"You're Rose to me so I'll call you that. Why did you leave? The school, I mean." He asked.
"I don't know." He could tell she was lying by the way she looked away and drawled out her sentence. Same old Roza. He decided to change the subject.
"Bonnie's middle name. Why did you make it my mother's?" he asked. Rose stiffened before answering.
"I liked the name . . ." she trailed off. "Have you spoken to them, since you've come back?"
"No." he shrugged before standing up.
"BIG GUY!" someone screamed. Rose jumped up and Dimitri looked at the stairs to see Bonnie. She was holding a torn teddy bear. "RHEA AND ERIC KILLED SNUGGLES! FIX HIM!"
She ran down the stairs and shoved the bear into Dimitri's hands. He froze, looking at the bear then to a sobbing Bonnie. Rose had an amused look on her face.
"Bonnie, baby, Snuggles is in heaven where all the cute bears go. Remember when Yoggi had to go?" Rose asked. Bonnie nodded.
"Okay, bye Snuggles." She whispered before running upstairs with a sad look. Dimitri looked at the bear with a small smile. When Karolina was younger, around ten, she had made him capture a spider and put it outside. Bonnie was just like that.
"Sorry about her, she isn't used to . . . socializing." Rose stated.
"Why?" he asked. Bonnie seemed perfectly normal to him.
"She never went to school or talked to other people other than me." She shrugged before shivering.
"What? Why not?" he asked, Bonnie could have gone to school since it was during the day.
"Just couldn't. Oh look, there's Lissa." Rose changed the subject as the door opened and Lissa walked in with Adrian. Christian wasn't in his line of vision but he knew the Moroi was there.
"Rose," when she glared at him, Adrian just smirked. "When you said the bond was broken. How is that possible?"
Rose's face paled before she suddenly grabbed her jacket and yelled for Bonnie.
"Look at the time! Bonnie time for bed!" Rose exclaimed before grabbing her kid's hand and leaving the room.
"Doesn't she sleep here?" Christian mused as he watched Rose and Bonnie walk away.
"Yep, she'll be back." Adrian shrugged before walking into the room.
