The Three Hunters
(The group heads out and our camera pans over the plains, coming to rest at the edge of a rather deep hole. A hand emerges from the pit and grips the edge. Moments later, Aragorn drags himself out of the pit, sopping wet and looking a bit twitchy)
Aragorn: (flopping onto the grass) Dry land! Praise the stars for dry land!
Legolas: (saunters up, brushing himself off in a disgruntled manner and looking down at the soaked Aragorn) What on earth were you doing?
Aragorn: (Flips a hand at Legolas urgently) Don't get too close! There's a pit!
Legolas: (glances over at the huge and very obvious pit beside him and the flipping, splashing fish inside) So there is. A pit with what appears to be piranhas at the bottom.
Aragorn: (shudders) Little monsters… (he frowns and sits up, looking around) Where's Gimli?
Legolas: (straightening his sleeves and picking bit of lint off of one gauntlet) He'll be down shortly.
Gimli: (hurtles out of the sky to land face down on the ground beside Aragorn) AHHHHHHHHH!
WHUMP
Legolas: See?
Aragorn: Right… (stands up unsteadily, swaying a bit) Let's go! (he stumbles a few steps after the Uruks)
Legolas: Aren't you forgetting something?
Aragorn: (turns and blinks a few times at Gimli who is trying to get up but his armor is too heavy) He seems fine.
Legolas: No… your sword.
Aragorn: (looks down at his empty sheath and lets out a yelp, stumbling backwards, tripping over Gimli and landing flat on his back)
Legolas: (sighs and scoops a rock up off the ground. He marches to the edge of the pit and drops the rock. A wet, squishy sort of thunk heralds a tiny growl.)
Piranha: GABLAH! (Aragorn's sword comes sailing out of the pit to land beside him on the ground)
Legolas: Now let's get going. You two are more annoying than usual around here…
Aragorn: (standing slowly and trying to pull Gimli up too) Yeah… you go scout ahead or something…
Legolas: (sighs like a moody teen and heads off to the top of a nearby hill.)
Aragorn: (having gotten Gimli up. He and the dwarf are now heading after Legolas) Legolas! What do your elf eyes see?
Legolas: (standing at the top of the hill and looking down at the other two, arms crossed) Two insignificant snails taking just about as long as they can to climb a hill.
Aragorn: You know what I mean!
Legolas: Fine! (turns and peers into the distance) They're running again. Guess that means we're past the traps.
(A gruff, dwarven shout behind Legolas heralds Gimli's launching into the air again. He sails past Legolas and impacts the ground at the other side of the hill, leaving a small crater around his motionless body)
Legolas: … mostly at least.
