"Tina, you know you can tell me anything, right?" Gavin asked.

"Where is this going?" Tina questioned hesitantly before Gavin showed her the positive test he found. "That's not mine." She explained.

"Wait, if you're not pregnant..." Gavin responded before he noticed Leah immediately leaving the break room and followed after her. "Stop right there, Red!" He replied before Leah stopped in the hallway and turned around.

"Where did you find it?" Leah asked.

"It doesn't matter where I found it, did you pee on this?" Gavin asked as his face was red with anger.

Nervous, Leah looked away… and Gavin blinked as his anger gave way to shock.

"Leah Elizabeth Anderson, how could you?" Gavin responded through gritted teeth before Leah looked back at him.

"Yes, it's mine. I was over a week late and I chalked up the nerve to take a test." Leah admitted before Gavin saw Connor walk into the police station.

"Don't tell me that he's the father…" Gavin warned.

Leah nodded before Gavin stormed over to Connor and punched him, Connor punching Gavin as Hank kept Leah from getting involved when she tried to break up the fight.

"Stay back, kid, I don't want you getting hurt!" Hank responded softly.

"Why the fuck did you punch me, Detective Reed?!" Connor retorted.

"You know exactly what you caused by not using protection!" Gavin shouted.

Connor looked at Leah… and Hank looked at both of them in shock…

Leah opened her eyes suddenly, Hank lightly rubbing the 24 year old's left shoulder after stopping the car at the crime scene… and from the backseat of the car, Connor was equally worried about her.

"You should be at home and trying to rest, Babe. You don't look alright." Connor replied as his right hand rested on her left shoulder.

"He's right, kiddo, seemed like you were having one fucked up nightmare." Hank responded.

'Fucked up doesn't even begin to describe it.' Leah thought. "I'm okay. I just need to get my thoughts together." She explained.

They had been called out to what Ben had described as a crime scene that would leave the rest of the force with nightmares for the rest of their ĺives but they know they had no choice but to go.

Hank helped Leah unbuckle once he got outside and helped her stand up, Connor reaching them and starting to scan Leah but a look from Hank told him it was not the best time or place to and Connor stopped.

The three cautiously approached the house, walking in and finding Ben… who had done his best to hide that he had been crying.

"Victim's in there. Sera Wells, 27 years old, was 8 months pregnant when the killer struck… best I could tell, the killer performed a crude c-section and stole the baby." Ben explained as best as he could.

One glance at Sera's body was enough to send Leah running back outside and Connor and Hank going to check on her.

Leah threw up in the nearest trash can, Connor holding her hair back as Hank ran to the car and returned to Leah with a chilled bottle of water.

After Leah stopped, she drank the water after opening it… and Connor lightly rubbed her back.

"Yeah, you're going home." Connor responded.

Having heard that after he got out of his squad car as he had not been informed of the details of the gruesome crime just yet, Gavin rolled his eyes.

"What happened this time, couldn't keep from getting grossed out?" Gavin replied with a taunting tone.

"Fuck you, Reed! Go hug a damn land mine!" Leah snapped, Gavin completely taken aback by that.

"Damn, Leah, you've been awfully bitchy lately." Gavin responded, Leah about to hit him but Connor carefully stopped her and guided her to the car… and Hank turned to Gavin, grabbing him by his shirt in a threatening manner.

"Next time you show up to a crime scene, try to be properly informed! A soon to be mother was killed and there needs to be an alert put out for her stolen baby!" Hank growled, Gavin turning horrified and carefully approached Leah.

He wasn't anticipating getting slapped across the face… and his left hand went right to his stinging left cheekbone.

"Leave me the fuck alone!" Leah responded angrily before she and Connor walked away from Gavin.

It was at the police station after the crime scene was thoroughly looked over and Sera's body was taken to the coroner's office that Leah was overwhelmed by tears and Connor pulled her into his arms, the two holding each other.

"I can't even imagine how terrified she was in her final moments… and not for herself but for her baby." Leah managed to say after a while.

"I can't even imagine who would be so cruel to do what they did to her." Connor responded softly, lightly rubbing Leah's back.

Leah looked up after she and Connor let go and she saw Hank walk over with a bottle of orange juice before he opened it and handed it to her.

"You still look really pale, kiddo. Please drink this." Hank replied as Leah held the juice and drank it slowly. "Do you feel like eating anything?" He asked.

"I will in a bit, just not right now." Leah explained, Hank kissing her forehead.

It was a while later that Leah had eaten a granola bar before she saw a dark haired man a little older than Sera being dragged into the station by Gavin… and he saw her before he looked at Gavin in rage.

"You lied to me! She's right here, Sera's still alive!" The man responded before he hugged Leah. "Sera, they told me you were dead and that a baby was stolen from you-"

Getting uncomfortable with being hugged by the man, Leah elbowed him and forced him off of her.

"That's not her, you numbskull! You just scared the hell out of an officer!" Gavin retorted before Chris escorted the man to the interrogation room and Gavin turned to a shaking Leah. "I'm sorry, Red."

"No, it's not your fault but who is that man? I couldn't find any record of Sera's family in Detroit." Leah responded.

"That's her brother, his name's Evan. He lives in Toronto but showed up here yesterday to look for her." Gavin explained.

"That would explain why I couldn't find any information, Sera's records would be in the Canadian database." Leah replied. "Hey, about earlier-"

"You don't need to apologize, kiddo, I shouldn't have been an asshole." Gavin responded before they hugged for a few seconds.

After a few minutes, Leah grabbed the brown paper bag from her purse and walked to the women's restroom… and grabbed the Modern Fertility pregnancy test that she had bought on the way to work.

'Please let me be wrong about this…' Leah thought before she opened the test.

A few minutes of pacing around in the stall, Leah closed her eyes for a few seconds and walked over to where the test was on the sink.

She picked it up with her left hand… and covered her mouth with her right hand as tears ran down her face.
