So I know all about the Demon Slayer Academy shorts I love them and wish they would be a full time Anime but I wanted to make something based off that but in my own way. So this is gonna be more American themed schooling with an attached 5-12 grade school so we get all are favorite characters involved also the ages won't match up just so everyone can be in the same school.

It was the first day, the first day of senior year and Giyu didn't care one way or the other it was nothing special just another school year just this would be the last one, at least until he went to college.

You could say school wasn't really a memorable experience for Giyu sure he had a few friends in Tanjiro and Sabito but nothing of note had really happened for him he never joined any sports clubs, hell no clubs at all really. For Giyu school was just something that he had to do and he didn't expect to really have any memories of it.

Oh but this year this year would be different, Giyu did not know it yet but his life would change a lot over the course of the year and it all started in his history class.

The teacher a very pretty woman with very unique dark red eyes but with white pupils and long black hair stood at the front of the class "as is the tradition at this school you will all have a senior year history project detailing a part of human history, you will have the entire school year and you will have a partner. This assignment will be writing a history book of at least one hundred and fifty pages on your assigned part of history, It will worth sixty percent of your grade so I do wish you the best of luck."

The teacher clasped her hands together "Your partners and topics have been randomly selected and will be handed out now."

As the teacher was handing out each promt and partner match up Giyu was only hoping that he got Sabito as his partner at least with him he knew that he could work well with him.

Then came the first changing point in Giyu's senior year he got his prompt and the name of his partner, The prompt wasn't too bad the Taisho Era of Japan but his partner well.

A tall pretty girl set her soft hands onto Giyu's desk "Giyu Tomioka hmm we have been going to school together for years and yet I do believe that this is the first time that we have ever spoke to each other, well looks like we are partners."

The girl before him was Kanae Kocho the very pretty and very kind head cheerleader of the school's cheerleading team, tall and fit with red lips and a gentle beautiful face it was no wonder so many guys had a crush on her how Sanemi managed to convince her to date him was something nobody could understand.

Pulling up a chair and sitting across from Giyu Kanane smiled her warm gently smile "well I figure I got me a good partner you seem smart this is advanced history after all so how about this you come over to my house twice a week for the rest of the year and we dedicate two hours to this project." Kanae looked at her phone for a second "it is August now I figure with this plan we can be finished by say January or so" Kanae said in her sweet voice.

Giyu was a bit perplexed he hadn't expected this not at all he didn't this intergender partners would happen and now he is gonna go to her house twice a week for months, keeping his calm Giyu simply nodded "that sounds like a good plan Kanae I will start doing some research on the Taisho era tonight."

This made Kanae smile "straight to business I like it I was fearing you might get all bothered about going to girl's house, alright come on over tomorrow and Friday, so every Tuesday and Friday work for you Giyu."

Giyu only nodded at least he had a partner that seemed to take this seriously that was good.

Kanae stood up "good good and one thing my parents generally work pretty late so it will just be me you and my sisters hope you don't mind."

Sisters how could he forget she was Kanae's sister the girl who dealt with all of last year in advanced math the one who told him no one liked him and made fun of him for the entire year, "Shinobu is gonna be there?" Giyu asked more or less just for confirmation.

Giving him a strange look "well yeah she lives there, wait you know her how she's a junior a whole year behind us."

As Giyu was thinking on how he was gonna deal with having to see Shinobu once again the bell rang and he quickly left "I'll get that research done tonight Kanae" he said as he left the room in a hurry.

"Wait how do you know my sister" Kanae called out to no avail Giyu was long gone "Shinobu what did you do to him" Kanae wondered.

Tanjiro was putting his books into his locker for the day "ah such a good day I have classes with Inosuke and Zenitsu and Nezuko is even in my science class it couldn't be that much better" he said to himself as he closed his locker to reveal a short pretty girl at the locker next to him "oh I am sorry if I startled you" he said kindly.

The girl didn't say anything only staring at him with her pale pink eyes blinking a few times before closing her locker and walking away.

"Hmm that was strange she didn't even say anything, I should bring her some bread from the bakery tomorrow" Tanjiro said aloud as he stretched his arms ready to head home for the day when Giyu appeared in front of him "oh Giyu are you enjoying you last first day."

Giyu looked at Tanjiro he was paler than normal he was damp with sweat "I have a project that requires me to go to Kanae Kocho's house twice a week and Shinobu is gonna be there I don't want a repeat of last year."

Tanjiro laid a hand on Giyu's back "oh I remember she is the one that teased you for the entire year, but she was wrong me Sabito and Nezuko all like you."

This did little to comfort Giyu as he could vividly remember Shinobu and all her insults and teasing she made him dread going to class the entire year and now she's making him dread doing his project, "thank you Tanjiro I guess I am just going to have to find a way to deal with her."

Tanjiro patted Giyu's back that's the spirit and hey Nezuko is in her P.E. class so maybe she can learn why she was so mean to you or maybe find out when she will and won't be home."

This made Giyu smile just slightly "oh please that would be a very big help tell Nezuko thank you for me" he said before he checked the clock on his phone "I got to go do some research for this project but again thank you Tanjiro you are always there for me" he said walking out of the school as Tanjiro smiled and waved goodbye to him.

Classes went by slow and to be honest they were somewhat boring for Shinobu she was hoping for more excitement with her advanced classes yet only P.E. was giving her any type of fun.

Sighing as she packed her backpack as the final bell had rung she calmly and gracefully exited the classroom, she could tell some of the senior boys where staring at her, she had become uncomfortably familiar with the feeling.

Shinobu was short something she hated but the guys seemed to like same with her forehead that she thought was too big but people called cute or her big pupilless purple eyes but guys called unique, she let down her black to purple hair letting it fall lazily on her shoulders for the first time today "ugh I still have Medical club as well, but if I want to be a doctor I better get use to long days" Shinobu said to herself as she leaned against her locker for a moment.

"There is my darling little sister, aw you look so tuckered out long first day Shinobu" Kanae said walking up to her little sister.

Shinobu gave his sister a light glare "no it was just a let down nothing really exciting well there was this freshman girl in P.E. she seemed pretty nice but other than that just a big let down, what about you sis."

"Eh mostly boring but one exciting thing I have my senior year History report and my partner for it he's gonna be by the house every Tuesday and Friday working on it for the next couple of months" Kanae said with a cheery smile.

This made Shinobu role her eyes "oh great a strange guy in our house twice a week that sounds so lovely, ugh why couldn't you have been paired with Mitsuri."

The smile on Kanae's face only grew as she took a step closer to her sister "well that's the thing it won't be a strange guy he seems to know you, Giyu Tomioka the name ring a bell to you, cause he sure remembered your name."

This made Shinobu freeze in place "it couldn't I put that guy through hell last year and he never said a word to me did he hold a grudge could he use this chance to get back at me" Shinobu thought as Kanae snapped her fingers in front of her face "earth to Shinobu clearly the name rings a bell what happened between you to, did he hopelessly confess his undying love to you and you brutally shot him down" Kanae said in a teasing manner.

Shaking her head Shinobu stood up straight "no he never talked to me he was just some guy in my advanced math class last year" she said not looking her sister in the eye.

"What did you do Shinobu" Kanae questioned her sister eyeing her intently.

"Nothing I didn't do anything Kanae, hey I got to go Medical club is starting soon I'll be home for dinner" Shinobu said quickly before darting off in a hurry "this isn't good he has plenty reason to get revenge oh why did I bully him I didn't even mean it I just wanted to be his friend" Shinobu said to herself as she made her way through the halls.

Kanae sighed "well that is zero for two something is going on between those two and I will find out."

Night had long since fallen but Giyu was adamant about getting all his research ready for this project, and he had gotten plenty already he was sure he and Kanae could get at least ten pages done tomorrow.

Weary eyed Giyu finally turned off his computer and closed his notebook "maybe a little snack and then I can go to bed" he thought to himself going into the kitchen to grab some left over salmon and quickly eating it before returning to his room and flopping into his bed.

He was hoping hell he might even begin to pray that he wouldn't have to see Shinobu while he was at Kanae's house he could never figure out why she was so mean to him over the course of the year but at this point he just wanted to get the project done and over with.

Then his phone buzzed and it would be another turn in his young senior year, a text flashed on his phone screen "Giyu it's Kanae can't wait for you to come over tomorrow to start the project and I am now really curious about you and my sister I have never seen her so flustered at the mention of a guy's name."

"Flustered what" Giyu said to himself as he set his phone down and drifted off into an uneasy sleep.

A little short but I just really wanted to start this story and don't worry plenty more is planned but the main part of the story will be around Giyu and Shinobu, anyways I hope you all enjoyed and please stay tuned for more.
