Chad's POV:

My friends say that I don't know what is dangerous, and they're right. I can be a bit of an idiot sometimes. I've talked back to my parents and angered hornet drones, but I've also screamed at the sight of lizard drones. So yes, sometimes I am an idiot and a coward, but I got very lucky a while ago.

One day, I went into the backyard to feed my cat, Cheeto and then I saw a murder drone in OUR yard. Of course, this wasn't normal and instead of calling the cops (we didn't have cops) or something, I grabbed a shovel and hit her in the head! Glass shattered off of the visor with a satisfying sound and knocked her out. When the murder drone fell, standing right in front of it, was Cheeto with a playful expression. The kitten meowed at me, seeming upset about what I had just done. Impossible. Cheeto wouldn't care about a random murder drone. What was Cheeto doing here anyways? Was the murder drone about to eat him? Do they even do that? Anyways, I couldn't seem to be able to move the limp body of the murder drone, so I tied her up. I grabbed an old ax, swung it over my shoulder, sat on a box, and waited. My plan was to kill her when she woke up, so I could see the fear in her eyes when I swung, just like the hundreds of worker drones this murder drone had probably killed. It was the time of day where I had gotten home from school and my parents remained at work for a long time, and my twin brother, Thad was playing video games or whatever. I would have joined him if I hadn't encountered this thing while feeding the cat. When I thought about this, I quickly got up to feed the cat and filled the bowl. When I got back, Cheeto had jumped onto the murder drone's lap and was purring like an earthquake. What was wrong with this cat?

"NO," I scolded as I grabbed him and moved him next to his food bowl. He complained loudly, so I sat back down and sighed. I waited and waited for one long hour and finally, she woke up. Her eyes blinked open and she looked over at me and Cheeto, confused.

Her tail twitched and then she said "Sorry for going into your yard… I was kinda bored." she went on "You know I can easily get out of these ropes though" She grinned, her claws went out.

I screamed.

"Calm down! I'm not going to hurt you," she said, then quickly sliced the rope once and stood up. She walked over to the door and stopped for a moment, rubbing the small crack in her visor. "Oww… why did you do that?"

"Why were you with my cat?" I retorted.

"Oh yeah, we were hanging out… There's nothing else to do around here. Sorry if you don't like that, I can stop. "

"Well, don't you have, um, other things to do?"

"The other disassembly drones do, but not me! I'm different I guess…" she laughed nervously.

What did she mean by that? "Are you okay?" I asked unexpectedly. Suddenly I noticed her body, her body was… very curvy. A nice body indeed.

She looked surprised for a moment. "What the heck? Did you hit your head too? You're a worker drone! You're supposed to scream and run away!" she barked, and took another step toward the door. "By the way, try using chains next time."

I nodded. "Already did that first step. Why don't you stay here for a bit? It's pretty fun as long as you hide from my brother."

She looked surprised. "For real? You… You're not scared? You're letting me in?"

I shrugged. "Sure. After all, you don't look scary."

"Wow." She looked down at herself. " Um, t-thank you. You don't look so scary yourself."

I raised my eyebrows. That right there, was a very interesting compliment. Girls had always called me hot or whatever, but I never considered the fact that I might look scary. I was beginning to like this one, she was funny.
