"Isane, I need 4 pints of A negative, and quickly" Unohana says

"Hai" and she walks quickly to the blood room grabs the 4 pints and walks quickly back "here you go Captain Unohana"

"Arigato Isane" Unohana replies while she sets up the first and second pints of blood

"Taicho… if only.. if only I didn't leave" Matsumoto says while sobbing

Unohana places a hand on her shoulder and says in a comforting tone "It's not your fault Rangiku-san, you didn't know… I think he may have known that there was a foreign reitsu nearby and didn't want you to get into harms way…"

"But why… why would he do that.. it's my job as a vice captain to watch my captains back…" Matsumoto says while looking up to Unohana, tears streaming down her cheeks

"That I don't know for sure.. but I think he doesn't want to see you get hurt because maybe… just maybe he has some feelings for you" Unohana says reassuringly

Hitsugaya moans "where.. where am I?"

"Taicho!" Matsumoto sounds happier that he's finally woken up

"Hitsugaya taicho, your in the captains ward in the fourth district" Unohana replies

he nods only to wince in pain

"Can you tell us whats the last thing you remember?" she says

"Last thing I remember is… that damned 4th espada,Ulquiorra Schiffer, firing a cero at me.. I dodged it...somehow I fell to the ground… then I saw Matsumoto… then I'm here"

Unohana writes it down "thank you Hitsugaya taicho"

"hey.. Matsumoto… how bad of shape was I in? hehe.." Hitsugaya asks

She starts to tear up but she forces the tears not to come out "you.. you were in pretty bad shape when I saw you… good thing I learned some things before I got switched out of the 4th division… Do you have any pain right now?"

"yeah… just my back.. why?" Hitsugaya is puzzled (one of the few times he is puzzled I may add)

"this is going to probably hurt a little bit Taicho.. but just bare with me" Matsumoto says "on the count of 3 I am going to flip you over onto your stomach… 1…2..3.." and she flips him over fast and she starts to use some of the healing kido she used earlier

"OW!.. son of a bitch that hurt" Hitsugaya exclaims

"sorry" Matsumoto says in an apology

"ahhhh… much better.. it doesn't hurt anymore… I didn't know you could do that Matsumoto…" The captain gives a weak smile. Matsumoto smiles in return

"There are many things you don't know about me Taicho" Matsumoto replies

"Oh? Like what?" Hitsugaya replies

"SHIRO-CHAN!" Hinamori bursts in

"Its Captain Hitsugaya to you Momo" Hitsugaya says in a very irritated tone

"I just got word, what happened?" Hinamori says

"It's nothing, I promise… now just go back to whatever you were doing ok Momo?" Hitsugaya says calmly

"b-but your hurt…" Hinamori's eyes start to tear up

"Hinamori…. It's ok, he's well taken care for here, you don't have to worry" Matsumoto tries to reassure her

Hinamori looks depressed…"hai…" she then starts to leave "If you need me, you know where to find me shiro-chan" she closes the door and leaves

"Sheesh girl… why won't you call me Captain Hitsugaya like what everyone else calls me… just because you've known me for a really long time doesn't mean you can break the ranks and call me like you're a captain…" Hitsugaya sighs

"c'mon now "shiro-chan" you can't expect her to change overnight" Matsumoto giggles when she says shiro-chan

"Matsumoto" he gives her a dark look "Don't you start calling me that…"

"fine…. Shiro-chan" she laughs and says "well... Everyone's really worried about you... sooooo... I'll head back and do the paperwork" (WHAT? Matsumoto doing paperwork…. Omg!)

"Ok Matsumoto.. Wait.. What did you JUST say?" he is surprised

"Umm… I'm going to do paperwork?" she questions him

".. Hey.. Matsumoto.. are you feeling ok? Because you NEVER do paperwork… what's up?" he is dumbfounded

"Well… since you're here and I know you don't want us to fall behind I'll do the paperwork for you.. but only for the time being…" she says with pride "Now if you don't mind, I'll be going.. I'll see you tomorrow Captain" she smiles, bows, and takes her leave.

"Man.. I wish I wasn't in here to see if she does the paperwork.. let alone I want to be here because she does the paperwork…" he sighs "Matsumoto… if only you knew…" he falls asleep soon after
