Note: Hey guys this is a sequel to Hartley's Journey To Power so i suggest you read that one before this one due to somethings from that one will be reference in this one. This story is my own version of Dino Thunder. Some things from the actual show will be added others will be my own creation. I hope you all enjoy if there is anything like a storyline you all want to see Hartley go through let me know as my DM is open!
Summary: Hartley Mitchell has been through so much since she was a teenager, now at the age of 17 and a year hidden from her family after a car accident, her life is about to change when she meets the three new dino thunder rangers and having bonded with her own. This is her journey as the green dino thunder ranger.
Reefside...Back Woods...
"Okay i'm coming!". Hartley Mitchell yelled as she was disturbed from her sleep to her door being banged on. Its been two days since she reunited with Tommy and Hayley. Two days since she turned down a dino gem. Today was her 17th birthday. "What?!"
"Whoa girl its just me". Hartley huffed at her visitor. Tommy grinned standing on her porch. "You going to let me in?"
"Not really, do you know its only 8:00 AM in the morning! on a Saturday!" She told him sounding annoyed. "Sure come on in". She grumbled as he pushed passed her. "What are you doing here?".
"I can't wish someone special to me a Happy Birthday?" He spoke to her with a smile handing her a Hot Chocolate from the Cyberspace. "Plus i haven't seen you in a couple of days and wanted to make sure you were alright?"
"Thanks and i'm fine, just getting settled since i start school in a few days, how's the teaching?" She asked him sitting on her couch.
"Its going alright,but i do have something to tell you since i haven't seen you". He started. He held up his wrist. "I guess i am not allowed to retire either". He pointed to the black gem.
"I guess not, black huh? who got the other three?" Hart asked him quietly.
"Kira Ford has the yellow, Conner Mcknight has Red and Ethan James has the blue". He answered looking down. "They don't know about you, look its your birthday and Reefside has set up a carnival for a little while how about we go have some fun tonight and if you want you can meet them or it can just me you and me?" He offered.
"Sure i could use some fun". She told him crossing her arms. "And i would love to meet them".
"Good, meet me at my place tonight". He told her givng her a birthday hug. He left her home.
Hartley got dressed. There was somewhere she had to be so she ninja streaked to her destination. She watched the scene unfold below her.
Accident Site...
"Today is her 17th birfhday and she should be here". Dana Mitchell spoke kneeling down placing white roses.
"I know". Ryan spoked rubbing his sister's shoulder. He hadn't told them about the figure he saw here. They jumped when that same figure landed in front of them with the same ice shield covering her like before. "Its you again".
"Who are you?" Dana questioned.
"Don't be afraid i am not here to hurt you".Hartley told her sister. Wishing she could tell them after all this time.
"How do you do that? make ice appear?" Ryan asked the figure. Hartley smiled under the shield.
"I am an ice ninja from Blue Bay Harbour, i was on my way there when i noticed you guys were here". Hartley explained to her. Hartley watched as the woman held out a picture.
"I know this is a long shot and i know Blue Bay is not far but have you seen this girl? she was never found after the accident but we never gave up hope". Dana told her showing the ninja the picture. Hartley's breath hitched. It was a picture of her. Hartley shook her head sadly.
"I gotta go, stay safe you two there is an evil nearby in Reefside". Hartley saluted and returned to Tommy's.
Reefside.
"Okay Hart a little warning next time!" Tommy grumbled as papers went flying as she streaked in plopping down in a chair.
"That's what you get for waking me up so early" She replied raising an eyebrow. "Not so alert in your old age i see"
The three other teens walked into the lab. "Okay Dr.O what is so important you had to make me miss practice?" Conner, the red ranger complained. "Oh who's the cutie?" He aksed noticing Hartley in the chair. Tommy glared.
"Don't let my brother hear you say that". Hartley stated, "I'm Hartley". She introduced as they did the same with each other.
"Hartley is an interesting name". Ethan pointed out.
"My older sister named me, it was supposed to be Harley but she kept saying with a T so it stuck". Hartley told the boy in blue.
"Okay Dr.O what are we doing here anyway?" Kira decided to ask her teacher.
"Hartley you can tell them" Tommy suggested. They all turned to the new girl in the room.
"My name is actually Hartley Mitchell, i am currently an ice ninja from Blue Bay Harbour". She started. "I am the one the green dino gem bonded to". A loud gasp was heard from the three teens. "I know your the other rangers, my family were rangers to".
Kira walked over and sat next to her as she noticed she was crying. "it's okay you can tell us".
"I don't know if you know about the demon that invaded Mariner Bay" They all nodded. "Captain Mitchell that led them is my Father. Dana and Ryan Mitchell are my older siblings. My sister was the pink lightspeed rescue ranger and my brother was the titanium ranger". She wiped her tears.
"Why are you so upset?" Conner asked softly. Tommy was amazed at how strong she was being and opening up to his rangers.
"I haven't seen them in a year". Conner's mouth dropped open. "They think i'm dead. Last year i was nvolved in a car accident. I did survive and was rescued and stayed in Blue Bay where i became an ice ninja"
"Why are you hiding?" She turned to Ethan. Hartley looked at Tommy who nodded.
"Because ever since i was a teenager i despised the ranger world. He would keep me locked up in the Aquabase when something happen. After he promised when the demons were gone we would have a nornal life. A year ago i discovered his obsession with them never left him he rebuilt the remaning dome in case the demons would come back". Tommy rubbed her back. She needed this. "For three years he hid it from me until last year i couldn't take it anymore so i was on my way to Reefside when i had the accident. To me i was never a part of the family, the day i left Ryan told me when i left never to go back"
Kira took the young girl and gave her a hug. Kira felt for her. Conner and Ethan looked at how broken she was.
"Please don't tell them i'm here". She begged of the three of them. "I'm not the girl they once knew, they wouldn't understand who i have become".
"We promise" The three of them said the same time.
"Now we have a birthday to celebrate!". Tommy yelled out. Hartley rolled her eyes. "Get up and lets to the carnival awaits". He pulled her up and pushed her out the door.
"Its your birthday?!" Kira squealed. Hartley laughed and nodded.
"Man i can't believe your brother was the titanium ranger, that is so cool" Conner spoke with a huge grin. Once the arrived they hopped out of Tommy's jeep.
"Go have fun you four". He left them to explore.
The four teens walked eating cotton candy.
"Thanks for sharing your story Hartley". Kira told her. "We will be here for you when you need us". The ninja nodded. "Who is that?" She pointed to Dr.O talking to someone. Hartley hid away behind a wall.
"Oh God! that's my brother and sister with Carter, what are they doing here?" She said frantic.
Tommy walked over when he saw them. "You know this place is too old for us, hey man". He greeted the guys with a one armed hug. He gave Dana a hug as well.
"Hey Tommy i see you took the teaching job". Dana spoke as they sat down.
"Yeah its different". Tommy answered. Dana was about to answered but a squad of drones and Zeltrax appeared. "You guys get people to safety we got this". Dana and Carter nodded as Ryan joined Tommy.
Kira, Conner and Ethan got the nod. "Hey i can still fight i am a ninja". She revealed her ninja outfit, her mask covering most of her face only her eyes showing.
Kira and Hart teamed up. Kira was morphed. Kira ran up a wall, she kicked off from it landng slashes to the drones with her sabre.
"Power of Ice! Ice daggers!" Hartley called as she sent daggers made of ice from her hands causing three drone to fall to the ground. She gave Kira and five.
Ryan ran to his truck. "Oh come on!". He Hopped up and kicked a drone out of the bck end of the truck. "Out. my insurance wouldn't cover this". He punched a drone that grabbed his arm.
"Duck!" He ducked when an ice dagger hit the drone behind him. He smiled at the ninja.
He opened his console and smiled. He ran to his sister. "Dana catch!" She caught the object and smiled. "Ready sis?" Dana nodded at her brother. Carter pouted. "Sorry Carter its not in my truck"
Conner went into geek mode as he watched Ryan and Dana morph.
"Titanium Power!. Lightspeed Rescue!" They both yelled.
"Man Ryan you look chunky" Dana giggled as she ran to help out. Ryan shook his head to help Tommy.
"Hey Olympius wannabe try this on for size." Ryan yelled as he did the splits in the air landing a slash to Zeltrax's chest.
Hartley jumped down in between them "Hey Zeltrax how about you chill out". Ryan watched in amazement. Hartley began to twirl in the air, icicles forming around her. She shot her arms out as they headed straight for his chest causing sparks.
"What are you?!" He growled.
"I am more than meets the eye". Hartley stated.
"This is far from over rangers!" He threatened as he went through a portal. All the rangers demorphed.
"That was amazing!" Dana cheered at the ninja. Hart felt her love. "I wish we knew who you were to thank you".
Hartley looked at Tommy through her mask and nodded. She ran up a wall and out of sight.
"Man who is that guy?" Carter asked.
"His name is Zeltrax he is one of Lord Mesogog's minions and a pain in our butts". Kira answered the veteran red ranger.
"Tommy do you know who that ninja is?" Ryan asked his friend. Tommy sighed there was some he could tell but not all. He could see Hart from the distance nodding it was okay to share some. Tommy got them all to sit down.
"I know who it is but i can't say the identity. It may be hard for you guys to understand but as a ninja myself we have code of honor we live by. Ninja's never reveal themselfs unless its their own time to. " Tommy told them.
"Do you think he or she will?".Carter wondered.
"I don't know, maybe someday when the time comes,just know that this ninja can be trusted". Tommy assured them as he walked to his jeep. "Its getting late look meet me tomorrow and we can talk". The three teens got into his jeep and drive home. Hartley streaked back.
As Dana was walking to her car. She didn't get a chance to fight as a hand pulled her into a portal. Ryan got to his truck he was about to get in when he was attacked.
"Ryan No!" Carter yelled but was too late. He looked around for Dana. "Dana!?"
"No..". Carter got into his own truck. He called Tommy on the way and got directions to his house.
Once Carter arrived he was on a panic. Hartley changed back into her ninja outfit.
"Tommy their gone". Carter rushed out.
"Carter calm down, we'll find them". Tommy tried as he led him to sit down. The teens were there to.
"What would Mesogog want with them, they don't have dino gems". Kira spoke to them in confusion.
Hartley paced. Mesogog had her siblings. Carter turned to the ninja.
"They may not have gems". Hayley started. "But Mesogog may have figured out who you guys are but to what he is planning we don't know".
"I swear this day keeps getting worse". Carter mimbled rubbing his face. Kira walked over and touched his arm. He smiled at her. "Why are you so quiet?" He asked the ninja. "Look i know you have a code of honor but please help us, help me i already lost one family member please don't le me lose more"
Hartley looked over and Hayley and Tommy who nodded knowing it was time. Kira smiled as the three teens stood beside the ninja. "You three know who it is to?" They nodded at Carter.
"This is just great, you know when we were rangers we never kept anything from each other, even the public knew who we were". He spat out in frustration turning around.
"Its time". Tommy spoke to the ninja putting his hand on her shoulder. She spun removing her outfiit. She walked over to Carter and gently turned him around.
Mesogog's fortress...
Ryan and Dana were dragged to a cell. Mesogog slowly walked up to the bars. "Let us out of here you freak!.
"Now now titanium ranger, yes that;s right i know all about you, i am Lord Mesogog. I know all about what you have done in Mariner Bay and what you will help me to do".
"We will never help you!". Dana hissed out. Ryan kept her behind him as Mesogog entered the cell.
"Its a shame we never got your former red ranger and that nimja but no need you will do, you will open that tomb or you can watch your friends be destroyed". Mesogog told them.
"Never!" Ryan vowed as they were swarmed by drones and dragged out. "We will stop yoi!"
"Zeltrax prepare them and get me those gems and that ninja, her power is strong". Mesogog ordered him.
