Matsumoto sat at her desk with piles and piles of paperwork on the desk and on the ground next to her "Man… work is so boring… no wonder Captain is always in a foul and cold mood.. well.. not cold… that's from Hyourinmaru… well, I guess he can be in a foul mood when I don't do my paperwork… but that's been going on for 100 years or so, so that's nothing new… why all of a sudden does he get so mad at me…." She contemplates this with her zanpakuto while doing the paperwork
Maybe it's because you always flirt with him and he might start to like you if you stop doing that and actually do some work…
"nah… that cant be it… he's so used to it by now… right.. Haineko?" she starts to doubt herself
I don't know.. does he blush when you flirt with him?
"Sometimes… but not really other than the few times I catch him off guard" she smiles as she thinks back to those times
(FLASHBACK of Hitsugaya)
"Taicho… what do you want to do after your done with work?"she looks at him dead on in the eyes
"Umm… go to sleep?" Hitsugaya says then jumps when he hears Matsumoto squeal
"Oh? Captain.. I didn't know you were like that.. but if you insist…" Matsumoto smiles
"… MATSUMOTO! I didn't mean it like that..." he starts to blush heavily
Matsumoto pouts
"I meant it as I'm very tired from doing both shares of paperwork… and I haven't been getting a lot of sleep lately" he says in annoyance
"Oh?... What have you been doing when your in your room?" Matsumoto starts to blush when she realizes what she just said… she starts to back away slowly when she realizes Hitsugaya has Hyourinmaru out
"Matsumoto what I've been doing in there doesn't concern you… But I'll tell you anyways… I've been thinking about you" Matsumoto blushes a shade deeper "… and why you never do any of the paperwork.." she starts to exit the building "Now GET BACK HERE AND GET TO WORK"
Matsumoto runs off in fear of getting frozen by Hyourinmaru.. one of the few times she is actually afraid of Hitsugaya
Ladies and gentlemen... Matsumoto has left the building (XD I've always wanted to say that)
"Don't make me use my Bankai to get you back here…" Hitsugaya spits
"EEEP" is all you can hear from Matsumoto
"That's IT!... Ban~.." he stops… and gasps at what he was about to do…
Master… are you alright?
"I'm fine Hyourinmaru… I was just about to use Bankai to get Matsumoto back into the office when I realized what I was about to do and I stopped before I turned into a raging Ice dragon…" he chuckles at the thought of Hyourinmaru as his size
Excuss me Master.. but don't you think that that's a little small for me…
"Yeah.. that's why it's so funny" Hitsugaya starts crying because he's laughing so hard
Master…. Hyourinmaru sounds a little pissed
Hitsugaya is still laughing
Master.. If you please, would you stop laughing about that thought… the thought of me being that small may be funny.. but it makes me kind of sad… because no one would take me seriously if I was your size….
"Yes… but you're the most powerful Ice/snow type Zanpakuto…" Hitsugaya says when he stopped laughing
I know… but that's an embarrassing picture of me… that small… if you need me.. ill be flying somewhere.. but don't come looking for me unless you absolutely have to…
"Hyourinmaru…" He says depressingly…
"Something wrong Captain Hitsugaya?" He jumps when she says that right behind him.. How come he didn't notice her..
"No.. everything's fine… 'cept my zanpakuto isn't gonna talk to me for a while" he sighs
"What did you do… picture he was a little dragon or something?" she pictures hyourinmaru as a small ice dragon "Ha.. that's a funny thought…" she starts to chuckle as the most powerful ice/snow zanpakutoais a small ice dragon…
See Master? Even Matsumoto thinks its funny… now my whole zanpakuto status is ruined…
"Hyourinmaru…"
"Now Captain… my zanpakuto barely talks to me.. so think of it as time to get away from your zanpakuto.. even though he can hear your every thought… just think of it as a...umm.. a vacation… that's why I almost never do my work… stupid lazy cat tells me what to do every once in a while and I do it to please her… ugh… the things I do for my zanpakuto…"
"Oh?... Hey… Haineko... if you can hear me... tell Matsumoto to do her work everyday"
Nah…
"She says "nah" Captain" Matsumoto is glad
Hitsugaya curses under his breath.
"Hey Matsumoto.." Hitsugaya says
"Yes?" she waits for the words I love you
"Umm… never mind.. lets go back to the office" Hitsugaya blushes
Matsumoto thinks "… aw so close… maybe later…"
"Matsumoto… I have to tell you something" he sighs
"what taicho?"
"Umm.. well, you see…I.." A hell butterfly appears and lands on his finger
"Shit… I forgot about the meeting today… I'll tell you later Matsumoto…" he shunpos off in the direction of the 1st division
(END FLASHBACK)
"Taicho…" Matsumoto sobs…
'hehe… ill get you while your sobbing… then your precious taicho won't know your true feelings' the espada thinks… 'prepare for your death Matsumoto Rangiku by Ulquiorra Schiffer'
A/N yes.. I had to bring back Ulquiorra from the dead and I know he isn't unknown but Hitsugaya never met Ulquiorra… back to the story…
Ulquiorra unknowingly lets out some of his reitsu
"Who's there?" Matsumoto says, her eyes puffy and red from crying
"Well well Matsumoto-san… I didn't expect you to pick up on me that quickly… ah well… your going to be killed anyways…" Ulquiorra says
Matsumoto gasps "are you the espada who hurt my captain?"
"Oh? You know about that already?" Ulquiorra is shocked
"Yes… now I'm guessing because of how you replied is that you are…"Matsumoto reaches for Haineko "wake up lazy cat.. time to fight this espada… or better.. to run away and search for another captain…"
I'm ready when you are
"Growl HAINEKO" Matsumoto then starts to shunpo off to the 8th division… after a couple of shunpos she calls haineko back and sheaths her zanpakuto. She just so happens to see Ukitake walking to the 8th division… "CAPTAIN UKITAKE!" she yells when she stops and he is startled by the fear in her voice
"Matsumoto-san what's wrong" he asks in concern
"There's an espada who wants to kill me and he should be coming up here soon he's the one who almost killed my captain… can we go to Captain Kyoraku's to get help?" her voice sounds desperate.
"Hai… lets go, I'll watch your back" Ukitake says in a serious tone
A few minutes later they get to Kyoraku's office
"Shunsui, its me Juushiro.. please let us in and hurry…" Ukitake says
"My, my, what's the hurry… Oh, hey Matsumoto… what brings you here?" Kyoraku says
"It's the espada who's trying to kill me.. that's the hurry.. what's worse is that it was the one who almost killed my captain…" she looks down depressed
"My, that's serious… come in, come in… would you like some tea?"
"yes please" Ukitake and Matsumoto say at the same time, they look at each other and start to laugh
"ok… NANAO-CHAN" Kyoraku yells
"yes taicho?" Nanao replies
"can you make 3 cups of tea for us please?" Kyoraku says nicely
"Hai" Nanao says then she goes to the kitchen to get some tea
"Now, Matsumoto.. tell us what happened to Toshiro" Ukitake says
So she does
"Ah… and then you came shunpoing off and found me.. etc… right Matsumoto?" Ukitake says calmly
"Hai" Matsumoto says as she sips her tea
"What's worse is that… I… I.. I love him…" Matsumoto blushes a deep red" and it's killing me on the inside seeing him so hurt and so vulnerable…" she begins to cry again when Ukitake hugs her
"There there Matsumoto, please stop crying… He's going to be fine" leave it to the most caring captain in all of Gotei 13 to calm her down
"He's a strong kiddo.. and besides… Hyourinmaru won't let him die that easily" Kyoraku chuckles
"Your right Captain Kyoraku" Matsumoto stops crying
"when am I not right?" Kyoraku says
"Do I have to remind you Shunsui of how many times you haven't been right?" Ukitake intervenes
Kyoraku sighs "Fine… I'm not always right.. but I'm never wrong" he smiles
All of the others in the room roll their eyes and shake their heads
Hitsugaya's reitsu spikes and stays at a high level
"CAPTAIN!" Matsumoto yells as she is about to run to the 4th division Ukitake and Kyoraku grab her wrists
"Calm down Matsumoto… he probably just woke up and he is probably in a lot of pain" Ukitake tries to reason with her
"Yeah.. kiddo took a pretty bad beating" Kyoraku agrees
"But.. its my captain.. I can't just let him be in there with a ton of pain…"
Both captains sigh "If we go with you… will you promise to calm down?" Ukitake asks
Just then a Hell butterfly comes in and lands on Rangiku's finger… it leaves and her knees buckle underneath her and she is about to hit the ground when the captains catch her
"what did the message say?" Kyoraku asks
"It was from Unohana taicho… she wants me to quickly go over there to calm him down… he's going on a rampage in his room and she can't reason with him.. she says I might be his only hope…"
Both captains are stunned… A person who Unohana can't reason with? Man he's really out of it…
"Let's go Captain Ukitake, Captain Kyoraku" Matsumoto says as she starts to walk out of the room… once all three of them were outside they shunpo off to the fourth division to see why Hitsugaya is acting so strangely…
