Hello all! I'm back with another chapter under my belt lols, and my boyfriend broke up with me *sadface* so yeah… with all that drama and with school starting back up again last week.. I've had to see him everyday, so that's been a joy.. anyways back to the story (sorry I don't want to drone on and on about him)

A Cry For Help
Toushiro and Rangiku (so much easier using smaller names… less typing…) are walking back to their division, hand in hand, Rangiku stops at a perfume shop
"Toushiro… please?" Rangiku asks over and over again
"Rangiku… I said no, and that's final…" Toushiro says in an annoyed tone
"Fine…"
"May, I help you" the shop owner asks timidly, feeling the cold reitsu radiating off of Toushiro
"No, were just looking.." Toushiro lowers his reitsu and says before Rangiku can butt in
"Oh, ok well then take your time" the owner walks away quickly
"…. Please" Rangiku asks in a whisper
"No." He says loudly "Lets go…" he then says a lot quieter
"Hai…" Rangiku says sadly
They both walk out of the shop, with no shopping bags in Rangiku's hands (shocking I know…)
As they are walking back to their division they hear a cry for help, moments later they smell the stench of a hollow "Rangiku.."
"Hai" she responds then shunpos to where they heard the cry
She sees a little girl about 3 ft tall, black hair shoulder length, with stunning blue eyes, running away from a lowly hollow, she shunpos between the hollow and the little girl she unsheathes her sword and slices through the mask of the hollow "pssh… that was easy.." she says, then she turns around to see the girl gawking at her, she walks over to the girl and kneels down "Hi, can you tell me your name?" she says in her nicest tone
"My name is Heiwana Hana" (means peaceful flower)
"Hana-san, my name is Rangiku Matsumoto, and I am a vice captain of the 10th squad, of the 13 Gotei squads" she points to her badge as she tells Heiwana
"really? Whoa, that's so cool!" Heiwana replies
Rangiku chuckles
"Now, where's your mommy or daddy?"
"My mommy is in the 18th district…" Heiwana replies
"Wow, that's a long ways away, what are you doing here in the 4th district?"
"I was running away from that thing that was trying to eat me…"
"do you want me to take you home, I can help explain to your mommy so that way you don't get in trouble, how's that sound?"
"Okay!"
So Rangiku and Heiwana walk back to where she left her new boyfriend
"Taicho, this is Heiwana Hana, she is the girl you heard scream"
"Hello, Hana-san" Toushiro nods in acknowledgment
"she lives in the 18th district…"
"why is she here?"
"she was running away from the hollow"
"I see… well we best take her back"
"hai"
So they are walking when Rangiku has an idea "Instead of walking.. why don't we just shunpo her back?"
"Matsumoto… I don't think she can handle it… she barely has any reitsu as it is…"
"please taicho… please?"
"Fine… but lets get her something to eat… Are you hungry Hana-san?" he addresses to the girl
"Yes, sir…" she replies
"Do you want some food?"
Her eyes light up and she nods up and down really fast, indicating she is really hungry
They get her a few pieces of watermelon, but of course Toushiro had to get some for himself, since he loves watermelon
Heiwana eats it right up and smiles because this is the first time she has eaten in a long time, Toushiro is also smiling a little, since he is eating watermelon.
"It's getting dark" Heiwana says
"your right… we must get you home quickly, even though we are in the 9th district right now…" Rangiku says
"Matsumoto…"
"Hai"
"lets shunpo her home…"
"Hai"
"Now, Hana-san, you will want to close your eyes while we do this, otherwise you'll get a very bad tummy ache ok?" he tries to sound not like his normal self, seeing that this is a little girl and he doesn't want to scare her too much.
She nods "okay"
Toushiro picks her up bridal style and says "ok, close your eyes now, we will have you home in a few minutes" she follows his directions and closes her eyes, as soon as she does this they start shunpoing off to the 18th district
…
A few minutes later they are in the 18th district "Ok, we are in your district Hana-san, now where do you live?"
"over there, in that house" she points to a house and they go to the house
"This one?" Toushiro says, while putting her down
"Yes sir" she say "thank you for bringing me home" she bows then turns around and starts yelling for her mom
"Mommy! Mommy!"
"Heiwana!" her mother yells in relief
"Mommy!" she hugs her mom, her mom is also hugging back
"they took me home after the woman killed the monster that was chasing me.. I was so scared mommy" she says, holding her mom tightly
The mother looks towards the couple and gets up from her kneeling state, and walks over to them
"Thank you so much for bringing her home" the mother bows
"No problem, my lieutenant and I heard her screaming in the 4th district, so she dispatched of the hollow and we brought her back, seeing that she was a long way from home" Toushiro says
The mother widens her eyes "lieu…lieutenant?.. that means.." her eyes widen to saucer plates "you're… you're a captain?" she kneels immediately and bows her head to the ground
"No, need to bow, you're not one of my subordinates." he says blatantly "but your daughter o
"Now your daughter on the other hand, she has some strong reitsu for her age" he says
"Yes… I knew she had it from the first time I found her as a baby, she was crying out and no matter what I did she wouldn't stop, until I fed her"
They both nod "well, when she gets old enough, have her come to the Shinigami academy, and she will become one of us"
She nods "okay, thank you for your time out of your schedule to help my daughter.. most of the locals think that you guys are never there for us, but you are… and I'm glad that you are… thank you… thank you…" she repeats those two words over and over again
"No problem, don't worry about it"
"Well, you guys must be very busy, and I have taken too much time from that, and I should probably get some food for her tomorrow… so I need to be up bright and early…"
"Here… for her" they hand her 100 yen
"no.. I.. I can't take this…"
"sure you can, I take it all the time…" Rangiku says in her normal bubbly tone
"Matsumoto…"
Both women laugh while the mom takes the yen "Thank you so much"
"No problem, and it's getting late so we should go, right Matsumoto?"
"Hai"
So they said their goodbyes and Rangiku and Toushiro head back to their division
