Out to Dinner
"Thank you for going out to dinner with me Nanao-chan"
"It is my pleasure" she replies and smiles
"Waiter" Kyoraku calls over, the waiter on duty walks over to their table and takes their order…
"So, how have you been doing Nanao-chan?"
"I've been doing pretty well, and you?"
"Pretty good" he replies "except, That Ukitake-san has given the taicho's some very hard decisions to make before the next meeting" He sighs
"Well… I trust that you will make the right decision and go with your heart" Nanao says, he smiles at her kind words
"Thank you Nanao-chan, your kind words are those that warm up my cold and lonely soul"
"What?" Nanao replies "no way could you be cold and lonely, heck most of us here think you are the most warming and kind, and sweet and loving person, there is!" Nanao exclaims
He smiles with sad look with it…
" Taicho.. what's wrong?"
"First off, call me Shunsui; we aren't at work right now so you can call me by my real name"
"Umm… ok... What's wrong.. Shunsui" she has a hard time calling him by his first name
"Well.. It's just that Ukitake…" he takes a deep breath then tells her what Ukitake's plan is
(FLASHBACK)
"Kyoraku… Kyoraku" Ukitake says as they are walking back to their divisions
"huh.. what? Oh.. sorry I was staring off into space"
"I noticed… What do you think of the plan?"
"I guess it's alright.. but you know I won't take part of it though…"
"I… understand…" Ukitake says, a small frown plays upon his lips
"Ukitake…." He sighs "If I can help you in any way, I will.. I just don't see the logic of this plan… Unless you want to tell me in every detail of what your plan is, I don't see how this will help Soul Society…"
"Fine…. I'll tell you…"
"you know how some divisions have 2 3rd seats or 5th seat etc?.. well, why don't we have 2 for every seat, including captain and vice captain.."
"are you crazy Ukitake? Why would we need 2 captains for each division? 1 is plenty" Kyoraku argues while thinking 'I think hes finally cracked'
"no no no.. they will be like backup.. for instance, if both captain and vice captain are away who would watch everyone?"
"the third seats?"
"wrong, have the other captain and vice captain look out for them.. its essentially simple"
"but where would we find captain class reitsu?"
"promote the vice captains to captains…"
There is a slight pause "Ukitake.. are you sure you're feeling ok? Because this is one CRAZY ass idea you have here I mean.. just humor me for a minute.. what if the 2 captains get into a fight.. or worse what if they have a relationship with each other and they have a major fight.. then one would try to be superior to the other and it will end up as a mess, half of Seireitei would collapse and most likely beyond repair… no wonder yama-jii said absolutely not… beyond the fact that a lot of vice captains don't have the captain level reitsu, that's why they are VICE captains Ukitake…"
"I'm fine Kyoraku…" Ukitake argues "the reason why is well.. I'm not getting any younger, and it seems as though my illness is really starting to take a toll on me… that's why"
"still, one crazy ass idea… I'm sorry Ukitake… but.. just no…"
"I understand" Ukitake says in a bummed out tone
" hey, do you want to get a drink?"
Ukitake sighs "if it is tea, sure thing.. if not, well.. one of us will need to keep a clear head…."
(END OF FLASHBACK)
"Gomenasai, but is Ukitake Taicho crazy?" Nanao says quietly
Kyoraku shrugs "well, I guess that's one more thing that we will have to find out about him"

Do you guys think that Ukitake has finally cracked? Or is there something more to him than meets the eye? Please review, I need feedback.. and if you check my reviews… I haven't gotten a lot of it…
